Paying tithe as a stain is a necessity from God. The responsibility of the pastor is to ensure that he uses it to provide food in God's storehouse. If he does not use it for that purpose, he's not answerable to you, he's answerable to God. Yours is to pay, once u pay, then you've obeyed your own part.

Offering shdnt be a compulsion but optional. Any pastor who makes it compulsory is a thief.

Tithing isn't compulsory for modern day Christians.

And just so you know, Tithe was a
requirement of the Law in which the Israelites were to
give 10 percent of the crops they grew and the livestock
they raised to the tabernacle.

How many churches accept crops and animals as tithe?

That should tell you something.

Today's Christian are under grace not law.

Secondly, Old Testament Law required multiple tithes—
one for the Levites, one for the use of the temple and
the feasts, and one for the poor of the land—which
would have pushed the total to around 23.3 percent. So if you only pay 10% then you're stealing 13% from God.

New generation Christians give as they can. There's no fixed percentages and although its important, its no compulsory.

New Testament nowhere designates a percentage of
income a person should set aside, but only says gifts
should be “in keeping with income” (1 Corinthians 16:2)

Each man is taught to give what he has
decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under
compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver” ( 2
Corinthians 9:7).

I don't care if you're a pastor or a potential pastor. It's wrong to collect tithes meant for priest who were not allowed to own properties and still go ahead to build houses, lands, private jets and schools.

God will judge.
