Yeah, but this particular story doesn't add up. In most cases, affidavits are needed when the account owner has passed on. But in this case, the owner is still alive, why did they need a next of kin and affidavit to release his money?? has he not been making withdrawals from the account prior to now?? I hope the bank makes a statement on this cos I'm interested in knowing what actually transpired.
