Anyway sha, I no longer care who eventually wins; as far as I am concerned the fact that our girls are already now in the finals, is as good as mission accomplished for me; my next and only satisfaction will be to see, that vindictive scheming stuck up biatch, Vimbai having got so close and yet being denied the pleasure of reaching the finals (and $10,000), by her eviction next Sunday.

^^^^ Don't mind him, the girl is a calculating stuck up biatch, too busy feeling superior over others, that it won't surprise me if she never even knew where her heart is angry

I think Vina is in a really difficult position because she will be torn between saving her long standing friend Hanni, who stood by her through thick and thin; and her own country mate, Karen. I really wouldn't blame her if she chose either one of the two. cool

@ AMAKA: sorry to add to your displeasure, Vina is almost certain to be in the finals, because as HOH there is no way you would expect her not to save herself - if nominated. lipsrsealed

Karen is absolutely devastated for the losing her closest friend and ally, Mumba.
The other evictees  were Bernadina and Zeus, both also friends to Karen, the latter IMO being more of a benefit than a hindrance to her progress, because it would help her concentrate on the game - without the distraction and hitherto negativity of Zeukaren.

For most of us here in this thread, we may be positively relieved that our good friend, fork addict, may now have less ammunition to throw at our girl,Karen grin cool

^^^^Kai, this guy! you no dey tire grin
I am glad you admitted that given the chance you would also try to take another man's girl.
In my book that makes you just as guilty (not even sure if that's the right word here) as Karen and therefore having relinquished the moral high ground to criticize her - since both of you are all the same.

I know you will try to dodge that by saying your style would not involve poisoning the mind of the girl against the bf(as you alleged in Karen's case).
Well its not true, Karen didn't do that either, in fact your allegations were quite incorrect.
What Karen inferred was: what if Zeus's girl was not faithful to him, a mere supposition and simple rhetorical question; but not a direct or indirect allegation.
I therefore, don't see how that can translate in any way to suggest that Karen was indeed accusing the girl of cheating or posing an attack on her person.
Indeed, if Karen should go on to win the prize I am sure she would be free to spend it on what she pleases, including plastic surgery and boys - as you once put it; but certainly not on legal fees because she has so far done nothing to warrant the need to defend herself in any court of law. cool

Yes, agreed, if I were in the girl's shoes I would of course be hurt; but not because of what Karen said but rather because of what she is trying to do, i.e. snatching her bf (Zeus) - just as the guy whose girl you would try to steal would equally be hurt.

So as a guru in the game, tell me having assessed your chances are good to land the babe, would you enter or not? Don't be shy, please speak the truth and shame the devil wink

FYI, there is a shade of color between black and white; it is known as grey. In others words there is hardly anything in life that is all that clear cut, especially when dealing with issues of the heart, because there will always be room for extenuating circumstances - e.g. in crimes of passion.

BTW, haven't you heard of the expression; all is fair in love and war (or something like that) or that, everybody can be deemed single until only when he or she is married (even dere sef some ppl dey trespass)? Therefore, in so far as Zeus is not married he can be deemed fair game and Karen is equally at liberty to try her luck (just like you would, as a self acclaimed guru, should you fancy your chances to land somebody else's babe grin)

@ fork addict: Haba, haba, it would appear that you are not being fair to Karen here, because she did not castigate Zeus's girl into any of the categories you mentioned but merely placed doubt concerning her fidelity. If you would review of your own post I am sure you would agree that you were clearly selective with your memory - key words in bold below . Moreover, she immediately apologized for this supposed short coming.

fork adict:
I actually missed the scene where she told someone or some people that how was Zeus sure his girlfriend was not forking someone out there. However i caught the scene where Zeus cautioned her about making such an utterance and that a friend shouldn't even say such.
Also

fork adict:
The isuues i have with his despicable conduct by Karen are underlisted:
1. How can any sensible person who knows she is on continental tv make such comments about someone you dont know from Adam. Its possible Zeus girlfriend is as chaste as the word chaste and its also possible that she is as lose or even 'loser' than a LovePeddler. But how can you be sure which group she falls?
No you can't but neither did Karen suggested she could.

fork adict:
3. Can anyone imagine how Zeus girlfriend will feel if she actually caught that scene first hand? What if she remained absolutely true to Zeus all the while he was in the BB house? How is she supposed to feel on seeing and hearing such venom laden, detestable comments by karen?
All above so far are mere suppositions (what if's)- what if she (Zeus's girl) wasn't?

BTW, bros, having a good heart doesn't necessarily give that person power or control over developing feelings for another - whether taken or not.
Please tell me, haven't you ever fallen for girl knowing fully well that she is already in a relationship and actively pursued her persistently, despite several rejections, until you finally succeed in breaking down her resistance? Please speak the truth and shame the devil cheesy

As for envy, well its human nature - we all have it - and it manifests when we see and crave for what somebody already has, as in Karen's case for Zeus's affection, or when we feel threatened and want to protect what we have, as seen in many of the girls in the house, in so called 'relationships' e.g. Miss P - Alex, Kim - Nic/Lomwe, Vimbai - Wendell.
Ironically, one can even say that some of the girls are also envious that Karen succeeded where their previous similar attempts had failed.

BTW, I am not in any way condoning Karen's behavior on this matter, but also suggesting (like others) that she is only human, hence fallible; in as much as you also are not infallible by the fact that so far you cannot not see anything good but only bad in this girl - poor Karen cry
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Amplified (The Official Thread of BBA 6) by tashanja(m): 10:52pm On Jul 16, 2011
^^^Yes, although Karen may be well ahead in the game, I agree that her incessant pursuit of Zeus (which is not only becoming tiresome) is already losing her points and could ultimately affect her chances.
I also agree that Zeus's absence (if evicted) would no doubt help and free her from the distraction of an obviously self-indulgent, destructive, one sided relationship.
However, should that happen, I certainly wouldn't be looking forward to the revival of Lukaren, because I just can't stand that arrogant mad man, Luclay. After all, its a bit too late that he should now be singing Karen's praises (in his chat session); it wouldn't even surprise me if the guy is trying to hitch a ride on her wave of popularity since its increasingly obvious that she is likely to emerge among the winners.

BTW, I've just finished watching tonight's party and, my my, didn't Sharon looked so stunning in her party outfit, especially her face, damn pretty if you'd ask me - at least, just this once I can understand why Africa has so far been saving jangu jangu/obsession, to the surprise of most of us cheesy

Hey, hey, just caught a touching moment between Karen and Zeus, with the latter apparently breaking down in tears, due to eviction fever (and supposed homesickness) but also admitting to Karen while being comforted by her that she was indeed his biggest challenge since moving into the house, because he was developing feelings for her and therefore scared of what that could do to his outside relationship - touching isn't it. cry
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Amplified (The Official Thread of BBA 6) by tashanja(m): 3:44pm On Jul 16, 2011
I was recently impressed and happy with the way this thread was developing and becoming very entertaining; only for it to degenerate as quickly as it did, into a war zone of insults and cursing and counter abuse - much to the discomfort of the silent majority, who were put off or reluctant to post for fear of being drawn into the ongoing crossfire or becoming a new target for fresh insults.

However, I am happy to note that the proponents of this unfortunate turn of events have finally agreed to allow maturity and sensibility guide them towards settling their differences.
@wesley80, you have just won my respect and admiration by admitting/taking responsibility and also thereafter redeeming yourself by offering the olive branch gesture of peace.
@fork addict (being the initial victim), same as above for your readiness to put differences aside for the common good of all in this thread, thank you.

@ everybody, can we please move on; while accepting the fact that everybody has the right to freedom of expression and in the same process we should therefore try to be tolerant and respectful to one another; however, such freedom should never be mistaken as a license to insult, curse or abuse at will - even if an expressed view is disagreeable, because there will always be a more matured and civil way to convey such disagreement.

BTW, I am still voting Vina for reasons already given, though I have a feeling that the two boys: Lomwe and Zeus would survive ; while all three girls, Vina, Bernidina and Mumba would be evicted - the latter two being the most vulnerable.
However, should Vina survive, then she should be expected to be in the final because as next HOH, there is no way at this stage of the game one will imagine she wouldn't save herself - if nominated.

Ha ha ha ha grin
Kai, the way some of ppl are carrying on in this thread is so funny and also entertaining.
In fact its like the BBA show itself, in a mini scale, where some ppl are even resembling some of the housemate characters:-

fork addict, the odd man out like Karen: bold, unapologetic,strong-willed and brash (deliberately playing the devil's advocate, with his anti Karen stance, and having fun just for the hell of it by being intentionally provocative)- and how so ironic that he should end up acting like  the target of his own criticism (Karen)lipsrsealed

THE AMAKA/ScrenDiva
et al: so deeply involved and passionate in support of their (our)chosen one grin through long passages of numerous posts, thereby dominating the thread with their views just like Weza used to hog the air while in the show with her, talk talk - in their case it is their post, post or shall we say, type typegrin

wesley80: also strong willed, unapologetic and like Luclay, quick on the trigger to insult and cross swords with anyone who dares to disagree with his strong views.

In summary
                fork addict           = Karen
Amaka/Diva et al = the Wezas
                wesley80             = Luclay
More to come, but meanwhile keep watching and studying the posts, maybe some of you also will to see the resemblance between some of the posters and the characters in the show. If you do, please feel free to add to the above list, but try and keep it civil, no insults pls.

For now, I just have to say you guys really rock, pls keep up the posts - me de enjoy the unfolding drama.
In fact I now don't know which is more entertaining - the real show or the drama here?
And to think some people were once saying that this thread was quite boring, abeg, where dem dey now, along with also those yama yama BB people wey dey intrude wit dere PIN dis an dat or whatever dem dey call am.

BTW, as a true patriot, I am voting to save Vina, hopefully she might survive till the next round when I would have no other choice than to support that  cheeky devil i.e. our little 'rough diamond' Karen.
Yes, I would like both our girls to go as far as possible for Naija, but in the end I'll still have to choose the latter.

Once again, you guys rock; the various interplay, views and passion in the posts are just awesome - keep it coming puleeezz! cheesy grin wink smiley

@ forkaddict
I couldn't help but laugh at your penultimate and last post, and the expected responses they are bound to attract cheesy
Yes, I would gladly admit to being a Karen supporter, but not necessarily a die-hardist as you put it. cheesy

If you had cared to scroll back to my very early posts you would have noticed that I initially also didn't have much regard for the girl, both look and character-wise, and still hold the same view in respect of the former (the expression of which resulted in a little exchange between myself and another poster).
That notwithstanding, I also initially felt obliged to support her out of a sense of patriotism but she gradually began to grew on me as some of her inner qualities e.g. free and 'gangsterized' fighting spirit, emerged to the fore in combination with the interplay between herself and other housemates, which IMO contributed towards making her among the most entertaining in the house (thereby achieving the whole purpose of the show).

BTW, I don't for one minute believe she is truly attracted to Zeus and therefore cannot help throwing herself at him in the manner she does. Rather, I strongly suspect she is merely putting up a show for sake of entertainment, as part of her repertoire; rather than from an innate desire - I mean what has Zeus got to really make her that crazy for the guy (anyway, time will soon tell).
It may also interest you to know that there was in fact a Lukaren - Luclay and Karen - though it didn't quite fulfill its early promise cheesy

As for her masculine appearance, I wouldn't necessarily agree that it is due to serious  man-riding, but more likely from her genes and early life experience in village farm - apparently, she had a tough childhood (the consequences of which resulted in the hardening of her hands and still yet to soften up till today, by her own admission).

As for Vimbai, how I wished you had caught this Monday's 7pm. usual summary of the previous day's highlights on Mnet channel, which chronicled all last Sunday's beef encounters between the two from its onset, first thing in the morning when Vimbai snapped at Karen for alleged rubbing of herself against Wendell, right through to late evening after the eviction show - perhaps you may have understood why some ppl are turning against the former - including myself.
BTW, I also used to like Vimbai because of her intelligence and sophistication; but her recent arrogance and stuck up vindictive attitude towards Karen (our little rough diamond) was a complete turn off for me - even against my usual partiality towards tall elegant lepas grin

@ AMAKA, abeg, no mind Africans, they seem to like their jangu jangu/Obsessions Sharon O o, because she's pretty and always manages to seduce them with her tears whenever nominated for eviction; the trick has so far never failed and unfortunately they are yet to catch on - in fact its almost guaranteed she'll do it again next time; but whether she would succeed or not is anybody's guess grin
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Amplified (The Official Thread of BBA 6) by tashanja(m): 11:13pm On Jul 10, 2011
^^^^ I used to like Vimbai because of her intelligence and lepacious elegance ( grin); but since the house merger I began to notice a latent yet emerging streak of diva arrogance and vindictiveness in her character, which became more obvious today in her much publicized face - off with Karen.
Now I wouldn't mind seeing her and her boring compatriot Wendell (the centre of the beef) along with the other bores out of the house, come Sunday.

^^^Wow, that many votes! shocked shocked
You can say the girl pulled a rabbit out of a hat, her game plan really worked, now she's got Africa eating from the palm of hand and definitely the admiration/respect of her house-mates - risky but brilliant move, I am so happy for her, well, at least until tomorrow afternoon as we brace again for another round of nominations and the inevitable Sunday evictions (minimum, 3 persons).

Well, BB or not, we shall continue.

Yes indeed, the girl aced it for tactics, no doubt she would get a lot of votes (her country votes as well as solidarity and sympathy votes from other countries) for this latest stunt.

However, I am still not comfortable because the stakes are really high at this stage and one false move and she's out.

I have to agree, that the girl is not only smart and on top of her game, she also has guts - I am impressed wink

Meanwhile, we can all start voting en-mass and hope she gets through.
TV/MoviesRe: Big Brother Amplified (The Official Thread of BBA 6) by tashanja(m): 12:53am On Jul 05, 2011
^^^^ too close even for our girl.
Considering that there are only 4 weeks of the show left and 15 ppl still in the house, then its reasonable to assume that more of the housemates would be evicted per show from now onwards - possibly 3 - 4 at a time.

If you also consider those that Karen is up against and the factor of regional voting (southern Africa going for Miss P, East Africa for Sharon O, West Africa for Karen/Alex, and Weza - Angola & Mozambique) then you would appreciate that our girl is not as safe as you had imagined.
In fact only the top person with the highest country votes in this group can be assured of survival - I just pray they don't throw out as many as I imagined; otherwise our girl is by no means safe.
We definitely need to do a lot more than before to save her this time around.

if she didnt nominate she is playing the game. The nice hearted gal who does not have the heart to nominate anyone. Africa saves her and she looks like someone others should trust
Exactly, exactly ! though a very risky move that could backfire but clever and strategic with high dividends if it succeeds - I think the odds are, as at now, in her favour.
Unfortunately, as someone rightly pointed out, it may not necessarily auger well for her compatriot, Vina, who is still in the competition;and with the two of them up for eviction it means Nigeria's country votes would be split between them (assuming Nigerians would continue voting for their own) - which may not be enough for both of them to survive. Under this scenario it is Vina that looks likely to suffer and the one therefore to take an early walk.

@fork adict
Your comments, last post, generally correct - however, I am not entirely convinced if some part of Karen is not consciously playing the game, admittedly at the expense of appearing slutty and cheap , but still entertaining nonetheless.

@ Mikuz, thanks for the compliment - though I regret the negative side comment it attracted; my advice is just ignore and move on.

^^^Its also a pity that you sir are too blind to even see the arrogance in your own statement i.e. that you would even consider it appropriate to think that I should be grateful for not being insulted directly (in other words, you are conceding to insulting me indirectly) - and for what ? For simply expressing an opinion, that even you would later come to accept i.e. that the person I referred to, Karen, isn't pretty. Please try and explain to me why should such an opinion make its bearer - me, (appear) naive or half witted?

As for hypocrisy, kindly also explain where I have so far contradicted myself, hence the hypocrisy?
Please stop beating around the bush: bottom line, you tried to prevent me from expressing an opinion while trying to uphold your right to criticize mine - so who is being hypocritical?

BTW, I am still trying to be the better person by not resorting to any name calling I therefore hope you would try to do the same - just a little word of advice.

@wesley 80
I will be the first to endorse your freedom and entitlement to criticize opinions (mine included) - after-all that was exactly the theme of my immediate last reply to your post.
However, in your case you did not only criticize but went on to attempt to stop me from expressing mine (and also insulting me as naive and half witted). Its obvious that you are failing here to appreciate the difference between criticism and censorship.
In case you forgot here is what you said, please analyze and explain differently. I am waiting cool

Hey man, its a free world, I mean what happened to freedom of speech or is one not entitled to his/her opinion - BTW I support Karen, but it doesn't mean I shouldn't express my opinion, whether positive or negative, nor does it mean that you should have exclusive monopoly of opinion about her.

Having a different opinion doesn't necessarily make anyone more naive or less intelligent - please where did you get your logic from? shocked shocked
In fact your presumption of me (in bold) is more applicable you than otherwise.

As for choice between her and those you mentioned, well I'd quite easily choose any of them (I guess, maybe not Mumba) over Karen.
Bottom line, its a matter of freedom of expression and choice - I have just expressed mine - you should be matured enough not show intolerance for others, so please deal with it. sad
