Using 24-hour calculation, Friday to Sunday can indeed be 2 days. For example from 1:00 pm Friday to 1:00 pm the next Sunday is 2 days. undecided
Jesus died 3 pm on Friday and rose on Sunday morning.

I am not saying we stick to the Bible by carefully reviewing the events that supposedly took place between the evening of the last supper and the time of Jesus Christ's crucifixion and death to realize how it is impossible for all those events to have taken place in the way many in Christiandom assume they all did. undecided
Mark tells us he was arrested after the supper right? Then in chapter 15 it states; And straightway in the morning the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him to Pilate.
That's Friday and that was the day he died.

What I am saying is simply captured in the statement below.

When you carefully consider the above, you will probably see that maybe the events did not happen as you previously imagined they did and that Jesus Christ could not have died on the Friday before Sabbath. undecided
Sorry, I didn't check the website, Let's stick to the bibble which is already clear enough.

Evening of the day when Joseph went to seek Pirates permission to bury Jesus Christ? undecided
Your opinion.
Now Jesus was caught after Supper on Thursday agreed?
His trial began in the morning on Friday.
And straightway in the morning the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him to Pilate.
So unless he stayed a week on the cross, he obviously died on Friday.

Well, a careful review of the events that supposedly took place before approximately 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Friday when the Sabbath officially begins, would maybe give us an idea of how it could not all have taken place that same Friday. undecided
I don't understand what you are saying. Are you saying he died on Friday or not?

42 And now when the even was come, because it was the preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath,

43 Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable counsellor, which also waited for the kingdom of God, came, and went in boldly unto Pilate, and craved the body of Jesus.

44 And Pilate marvelled if he were already dead: and calling unto him the centurion, he asked him whether he had been any while dead.

45 And when he knew it of the centurion, he gave the body to Joseph.

46 And he bought fine linen, and took him down, and wrapped him in the linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which was hewn out of a rock, and rolled a stone unto the door of the sepulchre.

47 And Mary Magdalene and Mary the mother of Joses beheld where he was laid.

Friday evening and rose on Sunday morning.

So, he died and the next day was the sabbath so the disciples begged for his body, they did not even have enough time to prepare the body. they rushed and put him in a tomb and the morn after the sabbath they came there but he was no longer in the tomb.

- Muslim Governor *NEVER
- Muslim deputy Governor *NEVER
- Muslim Speaker of house of Reps *NEVER
- Muslim Deputy Speaker *NEVER
- Muslim Attorney General *NEVER
- Muslim Commissioner *NEVER
- Muslim Local government chairman *NEVER

since 1999 when democracy started till today.

Yet we Igbos are the ones championing all kinds of hate and propaganda against Muslim/Muslim ticket of Tinubu/Shettima but in our own region, we only vote Christian/Christian ticket, even when there are Igbo Muslims among us. We hate hate and ostracize them completely. Then you have the guts to say nobody should vote for Muslim/Muslim ticket?

Even Kaduna that is a core Muslim state has had Christian Governor and Christian deputy governor before since 1999, and Christians holding several major political posts across the North.

Nigerian Muslims wake up now and vote for Tinubu /Shettima for presidency 2023. Don't let Muslim haters blackmail you with lies. Defend your religion. Being a Muslim is not a crime.

Sincerely,
Igbo Christian man from Nnewi, Anambra!
SE is over 96%, Christain. We even have more traditionalists than Muslims. But Nigeria is not 96% Muslim so your argument makes no sense.

Catholics are idolatrous too. The Igbos just as moved from idolatry to a more flamboyant one.

Catholism that invaded biafla can't still stop Igbos killing themselves even kidnapping reverends and co.

And name the best schools that you claim which is especially for the masses?
Anything Christianity gives on the left is with Bible on the right hand.

The purpose of the humanitarian mission is to convert you to their own form of Christianity. Do Catholics help Anglican?
Yes we know Christianity can solve all problems but others have highlighted some of the benefits of Christianity to Nigeria. It's up to you now, talk for Islam.

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: The Reason My Boss Said I Should Not Come To Work Again. by tctrills: 9:53pm On Jul 12, 2022
liver123:
I work in a building construction site as an engineer under this man as the main engineer. Last Saturday I went to work and on reaching site I sent him report of site. I stayed till afternoon and I was very hungry and coupled with the fact that there was no place to get something to eat at site, I decided to leave before closing time so that I can go home and eat since there is no serious work on site. He later came to site and called me and I told him that I am sorry I left because I was hungry. This morning I woke up to see his message that I should not come to the site again. I work like a labourer in that site for a salary of 50k without any other chance of getting money. See this life, the best thing is to invest in a business no matter how small and be your own boss. This I have tried for a one and half year of working with this man but how much can i save from 50k to start a business of my own leaving in this abuja that everything is expensive. This life no balance at all
This is why you would make the same mistake again. You were wrong to leave work before closing no matter how hungry you were. Learn to take responsibility, this was all your fault. Learn from your mistake and don't repeat it ever again.

I don't identify with any of the two dominant religions neither do I sympathize with their extremities. However, since Tinubu declared his intentions to run on a Muslim-Muslim ticket, many people outside the SW and Yorubaland have been trying to sow a seed of division amongst us.

This message is for Yoruba Christians who have now decided to buy into propaganda and to shit on their roots or ethnicity. If you don't know where you belong in Nigeria politics, you better read up our history and see who your friends and enemies are. We've at most times been on our own until recently.

You should know that nobody would represent the interest of Yoruba land in general than a Yoruba person like you. Nobody will care about your grievances if you have nobody at the top. You want to be third class citizens in your country? If you don't know your history, read it up!

Nevertheless, you're free to vote for who you want. Don't just spoil the unity we have amongst ourselves. We're one people and we share the same language and culture. If Nigeria ends, we'll still be Yorubas.

Vote for who you like, don't just join the campaign against your people. Coz at the end, we'll all suffer together.

Good luck to you.
Are you not tired of hunger and poverty? Since 1960, we have always got it wrong. Yoruba politics, Igbo politics, and Hausa politics have not put food on the plate of the average Nigerian. Buhari won in the SW in the last 2 elections but did it improve anything in the life of the average Yoruba man. Its time we change our voting Patterns and all campaign against APC that has destroyed our Nation. It doesn't matter where Tinubu comes from, when the bullets were flying at the endsars protest, they bullets did not ask if you are Yoruba or Igbo.

No. Christians will vote for him even with M/M tickets but majority may not vote for him.
One thing you are getting wrong is that this is politics where number means a lot and the first major objective of any political party is to win election, every other things come next.
He believes that's what can make him win then he went for it.
So you are saying it was Strategic to pick a Muslim because whether he picks a Christian or not, Christians would vote for him but if he picks a Christian, Muslims would not vote for him?

You claimed Tinubu is overbearing, he is acting Godfatherism yet SW has more Christian zgovernor and Deputy.

If indeed he is what SE claim he is at least he has been fair to Christians from the SW, so the Northern Christians would be comfortable and respect his choice unlike Peter Obi where his region has been treating minority religion with contempt.

Tell me what will SE president going to do differently to the minority Christian north when they haven't shown such example in their region?
The SW is almost 50-50 Christian and Muslim. I know you have never traveled to the east so let me tell you, there are almost no Igbo Muslims. We have more traditional worshipers than Muslims. Igbos are at least 95% Christians. I am almost certain that every Igbo you've met was a Christian. Meanwhile, 3 out of every 10 northerners are Christain. That is significant. We have entire Christain communities even in Borno. Now you see where you play your hand If he chooses a Muslim because he felt the Christians in the north are a minority. If he felt Northern Muslims would not vote for him if he chose a Christian, then why should Christians vote for him. With your own words, you have proved he is a bigot.

This is one major weakness of the people of the SE. You assumes your wish as a reality of the generality of the people. This has caused your region major setback in political front.

Rather than being calculative, diplomatic and strategic, you all replace it with threat, bravado, abuse and arrogance which makes others to manipute you.

Continue to guess my tribe, also keep on celebrating Obi"s national appeal. Election will show the real picture, until then keep your media victory to yourself
I always laugh when people say we from the SE are not calculative. With all your calculations, leadership and politics, Nigeria remains a terrible place. Fuel is not cheaper in the SW. Rice is not cheaper in the SW so what are you boasting about. Yorubas that have sense know that there is nothing to boast about. You boast of electorial savviness that has not been reflected in your economy.

Yes, the South Easterners are 90% Christians but Nigeria is not 90% Muslim so why have a Muslim president and vice.
Not, in the last 4 elections in Nigeria, Tinubu's party has always put forth a Muslim. The Igbo on the other hand vote for Muslims and Christians in the federal elections because they understand that both religions represent the majority of Nigerians.
The Igbos in federal elections have voted for a Yoruba man, an Ijaw man, Fulani, they don't really care. In all these elections, There were Igbo candidates.

Now let me guess, you are Yoruba and most likely Muslim.
Have you noticed that every single person supporting Tinubu on Nairaland is Yoruba? But Obi and Atiku enjoy support from all zones even from the SW. E get why. Most people outside the west see Tinubu as a religious and tribal bigot. It's hard to see people from other tribes supporting him.
