Modern Christians are the world's most fearful people. For a simple game that in no way subjugates or abuses the name and power of Christ, we now tag it demonic. Please what is your definition of demonic? Anyway, I am not surprised, if 5g is tagged demonic what else wouldn't we tag demonic |

In case you still doubt, it was Christ that led the children of Israel to the promise land. Corinthians 10:1-4 KJV Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; And did all eat the same spiritual meat; And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ |

One last scripture that proves Jesus Christ is Jehovah. Exodus 6.3 (KJV) 3and I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them.
Jehovah tells Moses that he visited his father's of old using the name of the God Almighty but his own name was unknown to them. In fact exodus 6.3 was the first time he announced himself as Jehovah. Because Jesus Christ represented the father, he often used the name of the father rather than his own name... Jehovah. |

Jehovah created the world Isaiah 45.11-12 11 This is what Jehovah says, the Holy One of Israel,+ the One who formed him: “Would you question me about the things coming And command me about my sons+ and the works of my hands? 12 I made the earth+ and created man on it.
In the new testament we learn that Jesus Christ created the world John 1.1-3 1 In the beginning was the Word,+ and the Word was with God,+ and the Word was a god.*+ 2 This one was in the beginning with God. 3 All things came into existence through him,+ and apart from him not even one thing came into existence Colossians 1.15-17 He is the image of the invisible God,+ the firstborn of all creation;+ 16 because by means of him all other things were created in the heavens and on the earth, the things visible and the things invisible,+ whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All other things have been created through him+ and for him. 17 Also, he is before all other things,+ and by means of him all other things were made to exist
Isaiah and the new testament were talking about the same person, the Creator, Jesus Christ |

1. His name is I Am Exodus 3.13-15 KJV Jehovah tells us that his name is I Am 13 And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?
14 And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you.
15 And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, the Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations. John 8.57-58 Jesus Christ declared I Am 57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?
58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
Hence the I Am That visited Moses is the same Christ of the new testament |

Before his mortal birth, who was Jesus Christ? John 1 new word translation In the beginning was the Word,+ and the Word was with God,+ and the Word was a god.*+ 2 This one was in the beginning with God. 3 All things came into existence through him,+ and apart from him not even one thing came into existence. What has come into existence 4 by means of him was life, and the life was the light of men.+ 5 And the light is shining in the darkness,+ but the darkness has not overpowered it. 9 The true light that gives light to every sort of man was about to come into the world.+ 10 He was in the world,+ and the world came into existence through him,+ but the world did not know him. 11 He came to his own home, but his own people did not accept him. 1st we learn that Jesus Christ created the world and everything in it. He gives life to every man both good and bad. Then in verse 11, he came to his own home but his people did not accept him. His home here is Israel. The Jews did not accept the God of Israel. Now I would compare old testament prophecies to new testament revelations to show that Christ and Jehovah are one and the same person |

(Jehovah, of the Old Testament was none other than the Son of God, Jesus Christ. He created the world under the authority and direction of God the Father. Later, Jehovah came to earth as the Savior and Redeemer of the world. This truth is one of the most misunderstood doctrines in the history of the world, despite the fact that the Old Testament is filled with evidence to support it. |

I promised some of my new friends on nairaland that I would make a thread to discuss who Jehovah is. I guess we all agreed that Jehovah was the covenant God of the children of Israel. It was he who entered a covenant with Abraham and led Israel from Egypt. He revealed himself unto all the prophets of old. The question is who is Jehovah. In his great final prayer, John 17.3 (KJV) And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. A true knowledge of God is essential for the salvation of man. For the purpose of this discussion, I would be using the king James Bible and the The New World Translation |

achorladey: I smile with this verse and you never see them use Acts 17:28 when they want to discuss about TRINITY
They will use Acts 17:28 to tell you that even those that are idol worshippers are CHILDREN of GOD. Meaning that they don't worship God does not mean God is not their Father.
Na DIFFERENT blood dey run in their skin. Perhaps the moment those they convert those they call churchgoers to become JWs a different blood start to flow in their veins You seem to have a very myopic understanding about others believes. Their are thousands of believe systems under Christianity. They all can't be bracketed by the same doctrines. Catholics and pentecostals vary alot. Then we have thousands other denominations. Go to Ethiopia and their mode of Christianity would amaze you. And yes all men including you are offsprings of my God. |

Why are you silent on that since?
Don't worry yourself my friend, go and may you have PEACE! I have really enjoyed this discussion and have learnt so much about your organization. I can't wait to meet my JW friend. If you love for one another would only last as long as the other is in the faith, then such love is weak and hypocritical. If you cannot love me, weather I am in the wrong or the right way. Then you love don't mean much. |

MaxInDHouse: The first highlighted is directed to Jesus' followers. Everyone will know that "these are Jesus' representatives if they have love amongst themselves"
How will others know they are different if their group is not singled out by the unwavering love they have for their fellow members?
Second highlighted is talking about a God who singled out a nation as his special people! So their God is saying here that he must maintain a nation of worshipers no matter what they do! That's why Jesus said God will later be worshiped not by geographical location again but the worshipers will be known as separate as in unique group of worshipers everywhere they may be found! John 4:24 If you only understand the meaning of unwavering love. And yes God loves us no matter what we do. Our God maintains his children no matter what they do. Anyway you said your God was diffrent from the one we know and serve .Another parable for you. Matthew 21.33-40 33 “Hear another parable. There was a master of a house who planted ra vineyard sand put a fence around it and dug a winepress in it and built a tower and tleased it to tenants, and uwent into another country. 34 When the season for fruit drew near, he sent his servants3 to the tenants tto get his fruit. 35 vAnd the tenants took his servants and beat one, killed another, and wstoned another. 36 xAgain he sent other servants, more than the first. And they did the same to them. 37 Finally he sent his son to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.’ 38 But when the tenants saw the son, they said to themselves, y‘This is the heir. Come, zlet us kill him and have his inheritance.’ 39 And they took him and athrew him out of the vineyard and killed him. 40 bWhen therefore the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants This should help you understand the long-suffering nature of God. Even after an apostasy he continues to send Messengers. He does not leavery his people to perish |

MaxInDHouse: The Samaritan love his Jewish neighbour as himself just as JWs love you!
Your religious leaders have robbed you collecting all forms of levy from you, most of you have been bruised so we leave the comfort of our homes to come and visit you uninvited in both rain and sunshine. We strive to tell you what we know even if you're hostile towards us because we love to hint you about what is coming to happen. All these you're seeing yet you want us to agree that you are worshipping our God with all those nonsense and ingredients going on in your religions If so then why are we worried exhausting ourselves just to reach out to you!
Well the Samaritan did all within his capability for his neighbour! See the way you judge. You don't even know my religion. You don't know my religious leaders but you assume it's all bad. Well I did not expect less from you. |

MaxInDHouse: Good! the actions speaks louder than words. Anyone can make any claim it's proof that will justify such claim. I thought you asked if there is anyone else who can convince me that his/her religion performs better ko! Hen present one nah! What do you understand by action speaks louder than words. In the Saviors words, John 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. But you have spent the best of 2 days brilliantly explaining and defending the fleeting love in your organization. A love that does not outlast membership. Read the word of the Lord to sinful Israel Isaiah 49.15 Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. Note.. Israel had committed all kinds of abomination, and had forsaken the Lord yet his promise is, even if a mother can forget her suckling Child, I can never forget you. Like you said you guys have a different God so I don't think this would mean much to you |

achorladey: Continuation of paragraphs 5 and 6 from the link you got. The article states............
As noted earlier, some rabbinical writings held that, even if in peril of death, no assistance should be extended to Gentiles..................
Now look at how the above still applies in their midst today..........e.g a phone call was made from the son of a JWs who was disfellowshipped or had disassociated(aka gentiles)and was in peril of Death. What do you think the father, mother or siblings will do based on the instruction given in their same magazine below?
"Despite our pain of heart, we must avoid normal contact with a disfellowshipped family member by telephone, text messages, letters, e-mails, or social media." ........Watchtower 2017 Oct p.16
I await your response
Hope you notice the HEADING of the article you were asked to READ. It states........
Maintaining a Balanced Viewpoint Toward Disfellowshiped Ones. In reality there has been an IMBALANCED VIEWPOINT TOWARDS DISFELLOWSHIPPED ONES.
Where does such imbalance came from? From the same mouth that is trying to BALANCE it in that article. The funny aspect of it all is that the writer of this particular article suffered from the same imbalanced view of disfellowshipped ones in the long run.
Now the examples contained in paragraph 5 and 6 below one EXTREME one not too EXTREME. Look at what I bolded lastly in paragraph 6. Is that not an INDICTMENT that they were indeed being taught that way initially the reason for a need to balance it up? You need to look at my opening words in this post and see that the STATUS QUO is still the same.
............... Suppose, then, a member of a Christian congregation boating on a lake were to see another boat containing a disfellowshiped person capsize, throwing the disfellowshiped one into the water where he struggled to stay afloat. Could the Christian ignore that one’s peril, row away and feel free from guilt before God—inasmuch as the one in danger of drowning was disfellowshiped, viewed as “a man of the nations”? Certainly not. That would be cruel and inhumane. We cannot imagine Christ Jesus doing so; nor would any other Jew of the first century who had a balanced viewpoint have reacted that way toward a Gentile or a tax collector in such a plight.
6 But consider a less extreme situation. What if a woman who had been disfellowshiped were to attend a congregational meeting and upon leaving the hall found that her car, parked nearby, had developed a flat tire? Should the male members of the congregation, seeing her plight, refuse to aid her, perhaps leaving it up to some worldly person to come along and do so? This too would be needlessly unkind and inhumane. Yet situations just like this have developed, perhaps in all good conscience, yet due to a lack of balance in viewpoint................ These people should read the parable of the Good Samaritan. How do they come about these things |

MaxInDHouse: That's the only way to recognize true followers of Christ, and they will never hurt a fly no matter what you say to them. Their motto is "we know it all" just like our Master, Lord and King!
For your information that's why all the religionists in the first century hated Jesus to the point of killing him and Jesus said the same hatred will be extended to his true followers because they'll always speak like their master whenever it's a matter of sacred service. They may be novice regarding any other thing but no matter where you find them as students of the most wonderful counselor ever, they knew it all when it comes to sacred secrets! Funny thing, you are not the only sect that make such claims. It's almost becoming a comedy |
