PoliticsRe: 6 Reasons You Should Never Demand For Nigeria To Break Up by Tcwork: 1:57pm On Mar 05, 2021
Lyrics269:
Most people are complaining that nigeria should be divided and shared but they actually don't know the meaning of what they are saying.

1. Formations of country are not based on ethnic groups and religion alone.

2. If the so called saviours like Nnamdi Kanu promising paradise were smart as they claimed, they should start the employment, development now for everyone to see what they are capable of. most of them have no profitable investment in a region they plan to develop.

3. The new nation will still look like Nigeria

4. They will be still be corrupt politicians and thieves.

5. There will be lack of fund, resources and the nation will be vulnerable to any attack.

6. A Nation can not change to a paradise over night, it take years. America of today was formed 17th century.

Remember: the Devil you know is better than the Angel you don't know.
As much as I don't want nigeria to break up, I don't think any of your points held much water or addressed the issues.
Let me start from your number 6
We all know that no nation becomes great over night but the case of nigerian is a fall from grace to grass. 9ja is becoming worse by the day.
No 5. If nigeria breaks up there would be increased safety in the southern nations hence Boko Haram,, bandits and herdsmen would be localized.
No 4. It would be much easier to address corruption, as leaders wouldn't be protected by ethnicity anymore.
No 3. No nation can ever look like nigeria.
No 2. No one is depending on Nnamdi Kanu to build a great nation. His struggle is to create another country but the growth of the new nation would be collective not a one man effort.
No 1 formation of a country can be based on ethnic groups or any agreement made by the groups involved. The Nigerian system does not truly represent the nigerian people.
Now I do not want 9ja to break up because I believe it would be bloody and some of us are over invested in other regions we may lose our investments. That's all

CareerRe: Money Cakes: Nigerians Keep Emulating Habits That Kill Jobs (Pictures) by Tcwork: 1:37pm On Mar 04, 2021
Peterobi90:
Job can be defined as employment, work or occupation, it is a person's role in society. More specifically, a job is an activity, often regular and often performed.

Jobs are not created from the blues, they are created via our daily specific activities.

They are coined from our daily habits alongside country policies..

The main purpose of this thread is the new habit of money cakes in place of actual cakes.. some might call it bluff, but its becoming a trend and gradually becoming a norm.

The activities that involve cakes are diminishing daily..

Weddings are on an alltime low, Birthdays are barely celebrated these days. How then do we want the bakers to feed when we deliberately kill jobs with trendy habits.

Of what use is a money cake to the society, what economic gain has it added to the economy?.. zero/zilch, but has taken food out the mouth of millions from that created through cake-baking.

Please let's be cautious, our money cake trendy habit kill jobs, our economy is at the brink on employment.. we cant keep harming ourselves. Coming from our so-called celebrities goes to show most dont think beyond their noses.

Note: I am not a Baker, just a concerned citizen.
Oga, it's all about prefrence. We live in a world of diversity. Not everyone must bake a cake to celebrate.
Let us allow everyone to do as he or she pleases.
Baking cakes isn't the only job out there

CelebritiesRe: How "Nkerehi Women" Protested Against The Law In Anambra (Photos) by Tcwork: 8:50am On Feb 27, 2021
AlexReports:
HOW 'NKEREHI WOMEN' PROTESTED AGAINST THE LAW

Gozie Okafor (Esq)

The right to protest is a constitutionally guaranteed right in Nigeria as enshrined in Section 40 of the 1999 Constitution. It is essential to our democracy, giving voice to those with no platform or privilege. It is one of the powers that people can exercise beyond voting in an election. Democracy thrives on deliberating, arguing and dissent. However, like every other human right, the right to protest or freedom of Assembly is not absolute. It has its limitations and when the bounds of the law is breached, it can be said to be illegal.

Some women who gathered under the banner of "Nkerehi women" embarked on an illegal protest to register their displeasure on the name change of the community to Umuchukwu. To drive home my point, there is a need to provide a background information.

The former President General of the community, due to popular demand and in order to avoid controversies and unnecessary bickering that wanted to tear down the peace of the community, applied to the then Government of Anambra State led by Mr Peter Obi for a referendum on the name change. When Government of the day moved to honour the demands of the people, it gave rise to a suit brought by Barr Basil Igwike and others from the community challenging the actions of the government. These parties approached a High Court sitting in Ekwulobia and sought a restraining order against the respondents, including the representative of Anambra State Government Mr Dubem Obaze (the then Special Adviser to the Governor on Chieftaincy and town union matters) The lower court threw out their application for lacking in merit.

Dissatisfied with the decision of the lower court, they appealed to the Court of Appeal sitting in Enugu seeking to upturn the decision of the lower court. The Court of Appeal in Suit No CA/E/162/08 upheld the decision of the lower court stating that the first respondent (Mr Dubem Obaze)as the representative of the executive arm of the Anambra State Government has the authority to conduct referendum in Nkerehi after which the outcome would be forwarded to the State House of Assembly for necessary action.

The State Government has since gone ahead in obedience to the pronouncements of the learned Justices of the Court of Appeal to conduct a referendum on the name change devoid of manipulation or deceit and majority voted for Umuchukwu. The State, acting in accordance with the wishes of the community has through the instrumentality of the Anambra State House of Assembly, gazzetted the name change, documenting it in Anambra State of Nigeria official gazzette ISSN 0331-1880. Awka - 6th March, 2008, Vol. 18. Currently, there is no stay of execution on the judgement of the court.

The judiciary as an institution is the final arbiter of the limits of the rights and duties of the rulers and the ruled. Upholding and obeying a judgement of the court is a sacred obligation which the law expects of every party before it. Failure to do so amounts to a direct insult or resisting the powers of the Judges. The protest embarked on by those women is contemptuous of the court. Contempt of court is an act calculated to prejudice the course of Justice and or likely to erode the dignity of the court either BEFORE, DURING OR AFTER proceedings.

The Nigerian jurisprudence is replete with cases where the courts frowned at such attitudes by litigants. It affects the dignity of the courts and the administration of Justice. It embarrasses and desecrates the sacred honour and integrity of the court and the judicial process. If such actions are countenanced and left unchecked, it will create an odious precedent which every party can utilize to interfere with and or jeopardize the powers of the courts. That is a perfect recipe for anarchy, uncertainty and confusion in the society. This is not and will never be the intention of our laws. The Court of Appeal has made pronouncements on this matter. The State Government under Mr Peter Obi has gone ahead to gazette it. Until the Supreme Court upturns this judgement, the Court of Appeal pronouncement stands and must be obeyed.

The State Government should be mindful of entertaining frivolous grievances from parties who hide under the banner of dissent to sow discord for their selfish political ends. Currently, a lot of town unions in Anambra State are engulfed in crisis and there can be no development without peace. The role of the government should be conciliatory instead of stoking tensions. The traditional institutions are over politicised and for a people with republican worldview, the traditional institutions will lose their relevance if this trajectory continues.

Borrowing the words of the author of the Igbo Bible Chinua Achebe, it is morning yet on creation day. Someone who destroys his bed will definitely sleep on the floor. May the rule of law prevail, for the sake of us all.
I read through your article. It's clear that like many nigerian, you do not understand human rights. And I don't blame you. The government has over time striped us of our rights that we don't even know what our rights are.
You were wrong to say..
"However, like every other human right, the right to protest or freedom of Assembly is not absolute. It has its limitations and when the bounds of the law is breached, it can be said to be illegal."
Just because you don't agree with the cause of a protest doesn't make it illegal. People should be free to Air their views even if you do not agree with their side of the story.
If nigeria would have a shot at freedom, then we must all change the way we think
PoliticsRe: Army Restores Normalcy On Kaduna-jebba Road After Trucks From North Were Blocked by Tcwork: 12:36am On Feb 27, 2021
I hear people say that southern nigeria depends on the north for food.
But this isnt true. There are so many other food markets outside northern nigeria.
But our government closes our borders and insist we buy from the north at very expensive rates.
Remember when the price of onions went up, it was still very cheap in Cameroon and other neighboring countries. Rice is super cheap in benin.
We do the north a favor by buying from them. The northern food market depend on the southern finance and not the other way around.

FamilyRe: I've Never Seen A Girl As Dirty As My Cousin Sister by Tcwork: 9:14am On Feb 20, 2021
Danhoys:
I thought I knew what dirtiness was until my cousin's sister started living with us. We gave her a room, a roof over her head until she finds her bearing.

She's an orphan, almost going to 28 years, and sells food on Sundays for cash.

But, looking at her, she's the replica of the word 'unappealing.'

Her hair is always shabby, dirty, and she never attempt to even braid it to keep it in order. Black is beautiful, but hers comes in brown patches and acne.

She doesn't even care.

We have a water closet, and she's ready to keep popping without an attempt to flush. The last time I traveled and left the home for a week, the toilet was beyond what I could comprehend.

To the point I had to do renovation, repainted the wall, and had to hire a cleaner to help wash the toilet thoroughly.

I couldn't risk catching a disease doing it myself. That was how bad it was.

After doing all these, she stopped using the toilet, but would prefer to pop in the compound with a black nylon at night.

Sometimes, she even forget to throw them away. I had woke up very early in the morning. Saw her bucket and wanted to use it, what I saw changed my day.

I saw her feces, and since then I vowed never to touched a bucket that is isn't mine.

Aside from her protruding stomach which she does little to hide, the wrapper she wears every evening have never seen water in months.

Women are supposed to be conscious of their unclothedness, but not this cousin of mine.

She can avoid all the bathrooms, and choose to bathe outside in the open at night.

Like, around 8 to 9 pm when everyone is still very much awake.

Sometimes children will bump in on her unintentionally, and the kid will run away traumatized by what he or she have seen.

I dare not go into details to recount how she prepares the food she sales, and how dirty her coolers and kitchen utensils can swim with maggots for 6 days before she finally washes them on Saturday and prepares food on Sunday for her esteemed customers.

She's not beautiful facially, nor wear makeup or earrings since it's against her belief.

Doesn't wear clothes that suit her. If she dresses like an mbeke, that wouldn't be a problem. I just don't understand her dressing at all, coupled with her dirty look.

When it comes to religion, hers is the worse, jumping from one church to the other. And worse, we hardly sleepy at midnight.

She is always in battle with demons, with her speaking of tongues that don't just sound ridiculous, but deafening and irritating.

She's just 28, and I doubt if any man has ever stopped her on the road, and I still suspect she have never laid with a man before.

She's not mentally unstable if that is what most of you might think.

She's lively, knows how to joke and hold conversations like we all do. But when it comes to her body, grooming, overall cleaningness, she's zero.

There are grades of dirtiness, but when it comes to a stage where someone now dines and wines with feces, then there is a problem somewhere.

She's shapeless and doesn't want to do anything about it despite my numerous advise. She eats junk, like...

She runs to the backyard, gets some vegetables and fry it up with some concoctions and food is ready.

I know all their foods, and the things she cooks is nothing less than a concoction. I've eat her food once and my stomach testified.

A thoroughly analysis of her personality fascinates me to some extent. Is this her personality? Something that is genetically engineered into her that she has no control over?

Can she change?

Do you think I can help her, how?
Wow, you really don't like this cousin of yours.
The problem here is not how to change her but how to love her despite her strange ways.

Sex is a very nutural thing. It shouldn't cause you so much discomfort that your family members had sex on your bed.
Remember, she is family. Even though you don't yet fully accept her. You still view her as a stranger.

Learn to forgive the small stuff. And sex isn't disgusting. It is a sweet, enjoyable, beautiful and Natural thing.

There's china

US is not even producing anything
Why should we bow to them?

If we revert to gold as oil currency exchange they'll bend to our decisions.
Ever since Nixon made petrodollar a transaction currency it has been open season for them. They literally generate money out of thin air by the click of a button
I just laughed when I read comments like this. It's clear that you are very educated and quite enlightened so it would be easy for you to understand how wrong you are to underrate the power of US sanctions.
We can't just revert to gold, the entire globe is dollar dependent and dollar hungry.
Just ask Iran and Russian if you want to know the power of US sanctions.
The US can make nigerian oil loss value in a day by putting pressure on the international market.
You also forget something, the US may not be the number exporter (they are still 2nd behind china) but more importantly, they are number 1 consumer. Every company wants to sell in the American market. That is why businesses would rather loss trade with nigeria than offend America.
We can't afford financial sanctions.
China is probably the only country that can face America in a trade war for now without its economy imploding.
AgricultureRe: Crisis Hits Nigerian Maize Supply, To Affect Poultry Production Negatively by Tcwork: 9:28pm On Feb 08, 2021
Our government both state and federal has invested billions into rice production, yet the price keeps rising.
Maize has also joined.
USA is the largest exporter of corn yet they have only 1.3% of their labour into agriculture.
Over 36% of nigerian labour is agriculture. That is, more than one in every 3 working Nigerians is a farmer, yet we can't feed ourselves.
They tell us to return to agriculture but the truth is, we don't need more farmers. What we need is better farm practice.
We need to understand what crops work best for our environment. We need to develop system that thrives even with changing climatic conditions.
In the next 30 years, we would be 400 million, if we do not make the necessary changes now, we would be walking into a time bomb of hunger

A number of Christian organizations believe that after the death of the early apostles, the church fell away from the truth and began to mix pagan practice's with Christianity.
What is your take?
Remember, the bible we are use came during this so called period of apostasy.
Also, are there any verses in the scriptures that speak about this?
Again if there was a falling away from the truth what doctrines were changed and is any church today practicing Christianity like the early church before the apostasy?

CrimeRe: Lagos Assembly Passes Amended Law Punishing Parents Of Convicted Cultists by Tcwork: 8:49am On Feb 05, 2021
post=98755814:
Train up a child in the way he should go,
And when he is old he will not depart from it.

Let us shed more light on that verse from our Holy Bible.

This is not a promise to parents who raise their children properly but a warning to those who allow their adolescents to grow up without guidance,
Those parents who raise them to go their own way.
Children left to their own way are not likely to change; they will become adults who go their own way.
The wrong way.

Interestingly, Solomon wrote later in Proverbs 22:15 that “Folly is bound up in the heart of a child.” He obviously recognized that children don’t tend to make the wise choice on their own.
As you lay your bed , be ready to lie in it same way.
We guess this will curb/reduce cultism in our country to a certain degree.

To all cultists reading this, repent now before it is too late.
Jesus Loves You,
So do we kiss kiss kiss
Even in the bible there are good men who's children were wayward.
Ezekiel 18.20
The one who sins is the one who will die.The child will not share the guilt of the parent, nor will the parent share the guilt of the child. The righteousness of the righteous will be credited to them, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against them.

Just don't get confused. Go back to the bible.. keep learning. Get to know who Jehovah is.
Read the bible with an open mind. Learn the role of Jesus Christ. No man living or dead can come to the father only through him.
All the father does is to bear witness of his son.
From the creation to the final judgment it's Christ all the way. right at the door.

Acts 10:42
And He ordered us to preach to the people, and solemnly to testify that this is the One who has been appointed by God as Judge of the living and dead
2 Corinthians 5:10

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may be recompensed for his deeds in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad

Exodus 6.3
And I used to appear to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob as God Almighty,+ but with regard to my name Jehovah+ I did not make myself known to them.

Jehovah is the begotten son of God Almighty. He appeared to the father's of old in the name of his father but revealed his name to Moses.
Before the earth was created, he was chosen as the lamb to bear the sins of the world.
Before Adam ever ate the fruit, it was set in the heavens that Jehovah would die for the sins of the world.
He came to his own but they knew him not. They could not recognize that this was the same Jehovah that led their fathers.
To those that follow him. He will lead back to his father and like him they would inherit all that the father has.
That is the role of Jehovah according to the bible. So yes I get it, you worship another God but not the one taught in the bible.

The only people the Hausas and even we the fulanis are not happy with are some of the foreign Herdsman who engage in banditry and kidnapping!

Nobody ofcos is happy with rate of banditry and kidnapping in the north cos majority of these kidnappers are herdsmen.

But as for fulanis and Hausa relation in the city is something that the enemies of the north cannot succeed in derailing!!

We have been marrying each other for over 400yrs now!!

You hardly come across a family that have no fulani or Hausa blood in the north!!

So there's no way fulanis or Hausas can rise against each others.

We can only collectively rise against our enemies within and outside our region.

The Hausas know who their true enemies are!!

So if you are waiting to see Hausa and fulanis rising against each other then you go wait tire!!

Infact come here to kano... You'll not be able to different between the fulanis and the Hausas.

Expect for the fact that most Fulanis are fair skinned!!

Now you know.... Herdsmen are not even up 20% of fulani population!!

80% of the Diallos are either in government, Bussiness, military, health or occupying powerful institutions
Thanks for the education. But then why don't you (the Fulani) join us in fighting against these herdmen. The entire nation is suffering at their hands. They are making us hate each other and driving us to war. They have also given the entire Fulani race a bad name. Since they are not up to 20%, it would be easy to overcome them if you their brothers join in this battle.
