what is dumb about the need to have peace and money for education not WAR ? You stand there talking about the sister ship and brother goat and mother cow. Peace through education is keen for a stable society.
What is dumb are the criminal elements. If you don't pick up fight against a givernment there will be no need for her to pick up a fight with you.

It is will depend on the ambition.

Nigeria has shown interest in the helicopter. Major General Irabor Operation Lafiya Dole's commander was in SA to witness the testing of the Mokopa missile on the helicopter.

Witness and enquire about the helicopter. Stuff about endurance, range when airborne etc.
Oh cool so this means the army air wing will be the one in charge of the Rooivalk if purchased or what? Cc:henry

Its never been exported so i can't say, It cost us about $40 mil per unit, but that includes the entire 20 odd years of R& D cost!

There are apparently quite a number of countries interested in the Rooivalk according to Denel including us and you guys, but to reopen the production line a minimum of 75 units have to be ordered!

Anyway if i have to guesstimate an export price, i would say between $15mil - $30mil, depending on the number of orders ect ect!
Thanks @mike

Oh good. How many months will production take and what's the last known info from Nigeria about ghe rooivalk.

Gratifying to see NNS Unity arrive home port. Mission accomplished! It's also beautiful that she was escorted into port by 3 locally made vessels. Andoni, Ugwu & Karaduwa.

Unlike Centenary which we only tracked in South-Africa and finally Angola, we were able to track NNS Unity from China, Malaysia, Sri-lanka, South-Africa, Angola and now Nigeria. Only missing out when Unity was in Mauritius, perhaps no Internet in Mauritius. grin grin
She came in like a boss cheesy I think the JF17 should be escorted too by the F-7 lol.

I think to some extent, Africa can effectively defend itself from the US if there's an attack.

Apart from the subs which would be approximately around 10 all together, the Airforce of countries like Egypt, Algeria, Morroco, Tunisia, Angola, Sudan, South Africa, Namibia, Nigeria, Uganda with an array of Sukhois, Rafales, F16s, Northorpe Grumans, Chengdu F7 interceptors, JF-17s and so on, will give America a run for its money.

The population would also play a major role when it comes to ground ops, as well as the air defence of these countries.

It is sometimes easier to defend than attack.
Africa air defence systems are kind of not too strong except for Algeria. I don't know much about SA ADS. I'll be happy if anyone can post pictures of SA ADS and capability.

Moreover, US navy will give us a very hard time on her own.
