You de craz wALLAHi
The fact is alot of arguments here are unnecessary. Nationalism has eaten so deep into people in here.

Alot of arguments here are based on this one is betye4 than this etc but they never mention why instead start E-war.

Arguing like an intelligent fellow brings joy and respect. Imagine someone saying the f16 is a better aircraft that the Rafale with no reason or whatever. The next action is using vulgar languages at each other. What's wrong with analyzing speed? Turn rate? A rafale uses sososo missile and if able to lock on the F16, the f16 won't be able to do sososo due to sososo.
Now that's an intelligent argument, but instead useless arguments start in here.

Yes nationalism comes in and I'm not in support of any one here but I'm Nigerian if you say shit at Nigeria, I'll just ignore you and if you're going to keep acting dumb I'll give you a reply you deserve . I have seen alot of useless, unintelligent response from nairalanders so I'm used to it.

Patches seems to be a guy always picking on Henry posts even at the slightest issue and Henry too comes in hot.

The damn fact here is only few people have access to technical capabilities of some of these hardware being discussed in here. Just a bunch of internet fanboys arguments. I don't usually contribute If topic ain't about Electronic Warfare, Aircraft and communication where I have first hand information. This thread is about military and someone brought out economy issues? When you all have nothing to argue again, I see people taking arguments to each other country economy, HIV, Internet and what so ever. Moreover I see people taking about race here angry What's with race and military? Look at the Algerian guy here, the guy does his things well and avoid issues. There was this issue of him claiming men of the Nigerian Navy SBS were not Nigerians but the guy apologized with him posting a picture of their face uncovered and admitting his mistakes.

We all should learn to accommodate each other.

In the military sense Kenya is far superior to Nigeria, in COIN at least.

You want to talk about foreign interventions?

Somalia > Gambia + Sierra Leone

Give credit where credit is due
In military, South Africa is way behind Uganda.
Your stat in this forum is too shallow for someone who claims to be a pro in defence news and information details.

However, everyone is entitled to his or her opinion so it's okay. This comment is my opinion and any reply base on your opinion will be majestically discarded.

CHALLENGE OF INCOMPATIBILITY OF CAMERA AND MULTI FUNCTION DISPLAY ON AGUSTA 109 HELICOPTER

17. The Agusta 109 helicopter is frequently employed in the Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance role in the Northeast and other theatres of operation. The helicopter’s camera and its Multi Function Display, which displays various aircraft parameters, were integrated by the Original Equipment Manufacturer. However, with time, a conflict arises between these systems with attendant adverse effect on operations.

18. The foreign firm, which was contacted to rectify the snag, submitted a bill of 158 Million Naira, an amount that the Nigerian Air Force considered as being prohibitive. Consequently, the Nigerian Air Force, looking inwards, set up a Research and Development Committee led by Air Vice Marshal I Bukar, to try and rectify the snag. The Committee was able to successfully separate the camera from the Multi Function Display while providing an additional monitor for the camera. Both of them now work independently without any operational hitches and 5 Million Naira only was spent to accomplish this feat as against the 158 Million Naira that was demanded by the foreign firm.
Have always said it. Most of these foreign companies are thieves. Well it's buisness generating billions of revenue. Prices on UAV are too high yea I know and I'm very sure.

Mouth sealed.

[s]this right here is the your problem? it's either you lack cognitive or just acting out of your low self esteem?

so which modern aircrafts do we have to counter an air raid of a 4th/5th generation aircraft?

or what SAM batteries or any modern ADS do we have to protect our skies?

read the question again carefuly this time or just keep mute if your light bulb remains dim[/s]

don't shift the argument henry.

does Nigeria possess any modern ground based air defence systems aside rolands, guns, shilka and manpads to counter high altitude targets. which of the SAM batteries do we have?

[s]are the f-7s capable of countering a 10 formation rafael jets say if france decides to play?[/s]

that's how you argue objectively.
Your question is of no need. Why compare the F-7 to a rafale??

[s]I believe you are the one beating your chest for no reason you are entitled to your believes but i still maintain my stance, Nigeria has shitty air defense. Even with our shady weapon procurement we have not gotten any advance air defense systems heck even our air force is not equipped to protect our airspace if they were we wouldn't be using alpha jets as our main stay attack aircraft[/s]

[s]No dude, you deployed trainers that can't even do CAS, it's just a toy that drops free-fall bombs.

Let's do the math again. We can deploy

- 10 Gripens
- 10 Rooivalks
- 20 BAE Hawks

Now do you want me show how that rape.s the Nigerian airspace? [/s]
Unrealistic Dream.

I haven't replied all through but I am forced to say you just typed shiit.

Your air combat capabilities are limited to the Gripen multi-role fighter and the Rooivalk combat support helicopter although in insufficient number to allow regional deployments while maintaining national air security and current training commitments.
Nigerian Airforce has deployed to Gambia while fighting BHT.

We didn't deploy just Helos we deployed jets.

Just had a look. The info is wrong. For one thing, it lists prices for projects that weren't even finished, like the Bateleur MALE UAV, G7 LEO. And of course, that laughable $40m for Rooivalk.

You really are quite pathetic. No jets were brought out for him; that was file footage. And the SA naval chief was asked what similar challenges did they discuss facing the SA & Nigerian navies. Our naval operational environments are dissimilar and the most common challenge remains fulfilling objectives with ever-diminishing budgets.

Oh well, dogs bark while the caravan moves on.
