This is exactly the kind of mentality the list of regrets is trying to tackle.

So they cross over and find out there is no God but they have not lost living decades of moronic restricted lives all in the name of following some values/morals/nonsense of some ignorant medieval people when they could have fully lived their lives as they wish?

It is that same moronic mediaval moral and values that has kept many people from danger. Nothing is as dangerous as freedom without restraints. Ask those in jail, drug addicts and most HIV victims, they wish they had more disciple. I know there is a Heaven, but even if there is none I still thank God for the way he kept me from many traps that would have destroyed me.

I only agree with few of the above except those people in India think differently. Here are possible regrets of a dying Nigerian in his/her right senses

1. For Epicureans/ politicians and corrupt leaders: vanity upon vanity, all is vanity why did I invest all my energy struggling, killing and maiming for frivolities that have come to pass. I wish I lived with eternity in perspective. Now I know that the most important thing in life is not things embarassed

2. For stars and celebrities: I lived for others, I married for the public, they all said we were the best to-match couples on earth, unfortunately it crashed before it took off. I wish I actually lived my live the way I want it and not the way my fans think it should be. Now I've made others happy at my expense, I wish I could borrow happiness from my fans. I have external success but internal collapse; not even drugs can alleviate my malady, yet a lot of young folks wish they could be like me undecided

3. For Atheist: I wish I believed there was a God. If I cross over to discover there is no God, Heaven or Hell I have nothing still to loose(except probably the pleasures of sin that may end in jail, addiction and HIV), but if it turns out to be real, I'm FINISHED.

4. For Tribalists/Racists: imagine that all my life I have been fighting to show how superior we are. Now the same death awaits all of us. Race is only skin deep and ethnicity is a random occurrence. If I have one more year to live,I would start an NGO to let people know we are one and the same

5. For Religious Folks who never fulfilled purpose: I was so engrossed in my religious practices that I never lived the life God gave me. I never touched lives, I never did any thing to change my society for God but simply went to church/mosque, prayed, fasted and believed God to meet my selfish needs. I never answered the question: why was I born? So I never fulfilled purpose.

Let me recommend two books of wisdom for you: one is the holy Bible and the other is 48 Laws of power by Robert Green. They will teach both how to be smart and humble though the later will induce craftiness and sometimes false humility but you will be exposed to some inherent practical wisdom

The FRSC admits it gave false information as regards a BRT accident in Lagos.

The Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, has regretted a tweet from its handle, Monday noon, saying a fully loaded public transport bus, BRT, fell off the 3rd Mainland Bridge, Lagos.

The Commission’s spokesman, Jonas Agwu, said the tweet which was sent out from a Blackberry phone at 12:33pm Monday should be “disregarded.”

The tweet has also been deleted from the commission’s handle. The commission went ahead to say the hoax it had “retweet” could not be confirmed.

Mr. Agwu could not immediately say why its officers sent out the tweet, he, however, said it was a “hoax.”

“We have spoken to the Lagos Command and there is nothing like that,” he said.

The Lagos state sector commander of FRSC, Nse Akpabio, denied that the information that lead to the tweet from Abuja emanated from them.

“Who called them (FRSC Abuja, managers of the twitter handle)?” he asked.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, however, said a BRT bus crashed at about the time FRSC sent out the spurious tweet, at another location.

“A BRT bus was involved in an accident at Ebute-Ero, near Idumota, Lagos Island, with casualties, no mortality,” Oluwafemi Oke, LASEMA boss said.

FRSC applys the social media extensively. It has operated its twitter account since September 2009 and has over 13,000 followers it feeds with road accident updates and driving tips.

It also maintains a Facebook Page with over 16,000 ‘likes’ and is one of the government agencies that are open with information.

Very effective. Most of the clients we promote online can testify that the contact us page has been very useful as they have received mails and calls through them. With a good SEO strategy, the page can rank high on search engines making an enquirer to bump into it immediately for further enquiries. I advise hwever that the contacts should be on almost every page of the website but the contact should have the form and more numbers if more exist.

I don't know about mosque's power to transform, but history has proven that the greatest powerhouse of change in any nation is the church. The church increased the influence of Rome over the entire world that that Nation ruled the world in so many areas. Then Christianity blossomed in Europe through the works of Martin Luther and others. before long Europe ruled the world that Great was once refered to as an empire that the sun never sets. It is remarkable to note that the industrial revolution rode on what is today called the protestant civilization.

Then the New World(America) was born by the church and most of their constitution was built from the Bible and the principle of biblical grace and freedom contributed to shaping their democracy. In a few century, this nation became the most powerful nation on earth. It is worthy of note that in Rome and Europe, immediately there was a decline on church influence the nations power deteriorated.

Now the church is God's institution to change a nation. The problem is that Nigerians like most Africans approached Christianity like their tradition religeon where they go to see natibe doctos for solution to problems. So people fill churches not for God to transform their thoughts and minds; not because they are hungry for God but because they are looking for magic answers to their marital and financial challenges. The day we get church right, Nigeria will lead the world read my lips

I will not be surprised if one Nlander runs his mouth against the church over this. The words church, pastor etc are so abused these days that ignoramus believe it. Last tima I saw some never-do-wells sleeping wt a woman under the pretext of praying for her to concieve and the medi carried it as "pastors". When you dupe in God's name u are called a pastor. Funny!

Another argument I hear most Muslims make when criticized for terrorism is to take people back to history when the "church" killed people en mass

Let me make it clear here Christianity was carved from Christ by those who observed the similarity of some people's life to that of Christ. Jesus is our model and unlike other religious leaders, he never killed nor married an underage. Judge who is a christian by the Christ he exhibits.

I don't know about you but since I became very active on Nairaland, I have noticed certain certain issues that have be come redundant due to overuse. It starts looking as if we lsack creative subjects to keep the forum running
1. Tonto Dike's stories: It used to be interesting now its annoying. I don't know which of the moderators is benefitin from this cheap publicity

2. Pastors are buying jets from poor people's tithe: hmm! Abeg e don do. No be your money if pst Bimbo Odukoya get private jet, she would still be alive now

3. Proud to be a muslim: almost every thread, sm1 will chip in that. We don hear, if you have to be reciting always there must be smtn you are struggling wt internally

These are subjects that bore me I dnt know abt u. Mwhile I don't expect this to mske FP, becos its anti-Tonto promoters

1. Set your house in order before you die so you don't create more problems for the next generation. This wisdom is actually gotten from the Bible, God said to Hezekiah, "set your house in order for you will die" Abraham, Jacob and David all set their houses in order before they left.

2. Be careful what you do in your youth, you may live the rest of your life struggling to correct a mistake. It is best you don't make it in the first place. God is merciful anf will forgive you if you repent and confess but cannot guarantee you freedom from the consequences of your action.

3. Why waste your life fighting for what you can achieve on your own. Why follow a path, create one for othets to follow. As controversial as Charly boy is I still respect the fact that he did not tow his fathers legal path and ride on cheap popularity already earned by the father.
