rentAcock: The only reason why oil is up today is because the U.S sanctioned Iran. We should be diversifying our economy and stop allowing the global price of oil determine our fate. More countries are seeking alternative forms of energy through wind, solar and thermal energy; if we don't change our course, we will drown in our own oil. I concur with the principles.. Its the strategy we still have to work on. A good thing about the epileptic power supply is the uptake of inverters and solar power gadgets by local markets and individuals .. That will help drive the sector till FDIs can come to tap into the market once the distribution companies have the grid updated to increase commercial generation. We are marching forward steadily!! . |

baby124: According to Business Week’s investigation which was posted on NL. P&ID has scammed Nigeria over 20yrs of so many amounts. Outrightly scamming even on an HIV program and military contracts. Nigeria needs to go after P&ID hard!!! They owe us nothing less than $20bn.
They stole with their collaborators in Military, Oil and health sectors. They also evaded paying tax on all income and none of their companies are traceable. All Shell companies. Nigerian law makers must pass a law that any company registered in a tax haven cannot do business in Nigeria. All P&ID scams were successful and untraceable because all their companies were registered in the Virgin Islands Gbam!! You talk true.. That tightens up any defence we might need in court against any further deals which certainly will happen As their insiders/ internal perpetrators will laying under cover till this blows over. . |

OlujobaSamuel: They are not new in government circle. They have been having dealings with the Nigerian govt in the past and it always end in dispute with court awarding ridiculous amount against the FG. Some people in govt brought them to perpetuate scam against the govt. Report has it that this current deal was meant to be the retirement package for Quin before he died to cancer. They have always find it difficult to get the judgement debt, so they went to a foreign court to institute the case on this deal. Interesting... Then it's time to set the hounds after them.. Get counter-suits in all jurisdictions if economically possible. Sometimes at a great cost may come cleaning up the house.. Making a visible stand that it's not business as usual.. More so when Europe is trying to sort its house out. UK pursuing an "Epsilon Greedy Algorithm" of sorts. These guys are corporate mercenaries-- unrefined.. Other African countries who have dealings with these chaps better come forward and make an example of these 2nd-wave colonialists... . |

Why are these assertions just coming to light now
Where were these counter - arguments at the time of our agreement to settle at 850million..
All I can see is a very long day in court rendering counter-arguments regarding the salacious, extremely exploitative process with corruptible elements.. What might be more effective is several counter-suits bordering on illegality of the original contract and lack of social responsibility on the part of P & ID if it still goes along to effect seizure/payment. I still wonder why according to documents on their e-site... Why ExxonMobil and Addax aren't in the dock as well. Lastly dig up concerns about their activities.. They claim they've been in Nigeria for over 30 years, they would have done something dodgy.. This most probably isnt the 1st time they've attempted this in Nigeria or other African countries....
Mercenaries them lot... Corporate mercenaries!!!

Its a beautiful Island country.. Actually 3-Island country People are friendly, speak English as well as local lingua.
A lot depends on tourism,..... exciting medieval history--knights and castles - - a season of Game of Thrones was filmed at the Mdina Castle complex....visible Arab influences .......... in addition to agriculture and ?Oil..
And actively seeking to be a financial hot-spot of sorts... With low corporate/ entry tax.
Affordable living.. Average1-2 bed rents for 400-600 pounds.. Food not terribly expensive, not certain about Healthcare affordability. Public transport quite affordable and reliable - - it's only a small Island!!
Weather... Wonderfully beautiful.. Sea.. Aquamarine to coral green in places.. Explains high tourist numbers.
Overall, seems a nice place to holiday and hopefully live..
Good luck in the future.

Enwhen: Double lose for Nigerians, is Nigerians that r working there
should rather ask the govt. to revoke their license and give it to our own investors like the Otedola, Elumelu, Dangote or who ever is competent to handle it , because it Nigerians that r working for these South African firms ,
PMB doesn't give a damn about it because the majority of those affected , their brother's here in Nigeria didn't vote for Buhari and PMB could have done same to Abuja pple but rather refused to give them minister for refusing to vote for him.
Just imagine if it were fulanis that are being killed in the SA , Baba Buhari would have flown to affecting area to stop it the way he did in year 2001 when the OPC masacher fulanis as a repraisal in Oyo state under the leadership of Lamidi Adesina as gov. Like you mentioned there will be a slow response from the government if at all.. In the meantime boycott the services.. Unfortunately there will be people affected in the short term but if its done in an effective manner, the CEOs should be able to effectively engage with their SA policy makers.. Displaying their successful interventions becomes another feather in their cap regarding their take on social responsibility in the different countries they trade in.. Eventual win-win . |

But neither are named in the class act..

Politics › Re: French President blasted Brazil's President for Mocking His Wife's Looks On Face by Tedpgrass: 11:12pm On Aug 27, 2019 |
APCHaram: On a serious note, this beef started as a result of Macron (the globohomo stooge puppet), declaring in a speech he made at the UN, that the Amazon forest (which the Brazilian president wants to open up to loggers, mining activity and farmers ) be declared "international" and handed over to the UN.
Macron is making this declaration on the premise of wild forest fires that have been ravaging the Amazon forest to which Macron alludes has been as a result of deliberate arson encouraged by the current far-right Brazilian president to quickly see to the opening up of the Amazon for exploitation.
Now this is pure Macron at his best! A man that declared "Nationalism is not akin to Patriotism". This sounds absurd at first but if you believe in multiculturalism and globalism aka communism then there is no room for national identities and border states. To Macron, patriotism is reserved to only the globalist one world govt. The man Macron is now in charge of negotiating Brexit on behalf of the EU and he has vowed to ensure Britain goes bankrupt after leaving the UK so as to force a new referendum to get a No Vote to leaving the UK.
The man Macron in typical eco-terrorism has deployed the false narrative on anthropological climate change to introduce higher taxes on pump prices of fuel in France - this is the origin of the yellow vest protests that have been rocking France for months on end.
Communist Globalists stooges from Macron to the batshit insane Alexanderia Ocas Cortez are highly ignorant people who know little or nothing whatsoever on what they are pushing for. This makes them the perfect candidates as puppets in the hands of their shadowy globalist masters.
Another trait of these Communist morons is their pathetic sexual orientation/deviancy. From Obama to Macron to Merkel, these stooges have very degenerate sex lives. You may say that is a private issue, but a persons sexual orientation and outlook goes a long way to expose the flaws in their general character.
The Brazilian president making a jest of Macron's beard of a wife is a subtle hint alluding to Macron's deviancy. The Brazilian president is by that mockery is saying : 'look at this faggy boy talking'. Erhmm Obama and Merkel tooo.. This your beard beard theory is a bit farfetched!! . |

Hamachi: One of the worst damages that is being done to the Nigerian image abroad is not the fraudulent acts perpetrated by some of its citizens per se, it is the mindless battle between cyber warriors, disgruntled citizens and political e-rats, trying to outdo one another, in their support of their favored candidates and political paymasters.
We are definitely not the most corrupt people in the world, but we are probably one of the most materially flashy, socially noisy and verbally toxic online. We are also one of the most negative minded citizens of any country, in the entire universe.
What we fail to realize is that, the internet is a global data collection and indoctrination system. The narratives we input into it will always comes back to either elevate our status globally, or bite us in the ass.
There are so many Nigerians doing great things in medicine, tech, sports, law, business, governance and many more fields, all over the world, but there are not enough platforms to promote these much needed positive narratives.
We will keep suffering indignity and shameful treatments at international airports and borders all over the world, until we understand that there is no country on earth that doesn't have its share of crimes and criminals, in various proportions.
They just don't let it define them and they don't openly show incredible disdain for their country on the internet while bemoaning that same disdain others show them for the same reason.
We will be alright las las! . |

Let's await further bureau indictment releases...
A lion and hyena were quarrelling over a fallen antelope. After a short while, the lion went away but the hyena gloated over his short-lived victory till he saw the gamekeepers. He made aggressive stances to gamekeepers..... .. Interestingly, the lion kept in the shade camouflaged by the bushes/grasses.. With every move or taunt of the gamekeeper, the hyena snarled and displayed his antics to scare the gamekeepers from his prize till the cage was deftly placed on him.
With his capture, the lion moved out of the shades after the gamekeepers had long left, to retrieve his antelope...
What is the morale of this story!!

Forgive my ignorance.. How is Magu looking to achieve this.. What angles are to be examined.. His jurisdiction resides over non-committal on the part of the government to terms and reference of the MOU... which is irrelevant given the original ruling with recent addition of loan costs. I'm a little confused over what counter-claim he can raise against due processes in the UK Justice system, if the topdogs in the MoJ have been unable to do so.. Empiree: fine. But public heading im talking about is not jungle justice but euphemism for saying a very harsh judgement should be handed down for criminal upon conviction even if it takes public beheading. You do this once and you get to sit everyone behave positively.
Yes, there will be public outcry but it will be shortlived. See Iran, china, Saudi. They execute criminals upon conviction. If Nigeria is able to do to a politician, you get to see a new Nigeria. I see the picture you're painting. But guess what, given the state of affairs as they currently stand.. It will be an innocent bystander or victim of political witchhunting that will be the unfortunate recipient!!! As long as there are people in the corridors of power that are known to have exceedingly very dirty hands, that remain untouched, this remains a pipedream!! . |
