When I found Islam

Coming from a weak islamic background attended a Catholic boarding sec Sch and it was compulsory to go to church on Sundays. Although some students were stubborn and refused to attend, but I was always an obedient person.
After attending church the 1st I liked it almost immediately. I soon started speaking in tongue as we were praying. The next Sunday I attended without being compelled to. That was how I started going to church. My elder sister was also a practising christianity as she always had her bible tucked under pillow alws.
I left that sch as I was always falling sick and my dad decided he had had enough.
Coming back home, my cousin back then was a student of uniben and was really into Islam. So he started introducing us to Islamic materials and it wasn't long before we (me and my elder sister and our entire family) became very convinced and embraced Islam wholeheartedly.

You make it seem like it's a waste of time educating you on things like this so I will leave you to believe whatever.

Just don't wait until your case is decided in a foreign court before shouting for help. Many of you have a negative mindset about this land and there's a negative spiritual implication of hating and speaking only ill about your land. It cuts off its blessings and protection from you when you need it critically. I witnessed same thing happened to someone I know who is always cursing Nigeria. When Nigeria sent help by airplane , the host Nation closed its airspace and the person was not airlifted to Nigeria and eventually died in that foreign land!
Funny enough, what you say is absolutely true. What if her tongue prevented help from coming to her. Rip to the dead. But like you, I'm an advocate for speaking good about ones nation. Good thoughts about your nation irrespective of party and whoever sits there tends to shield you from the casting down cos yours will be a lifting up.
Some persons have let hate drown them such that even when God's blessing comes, they can't even see it.

I'm in a similar situation. It's tough because she's tall, smart and also a virgin. Not that she isn't beautiful, but she isn't too fair, and she's not from my Geo political zone.

Right now, I'm trying not to be too committed, just place myself in the middle so that I might fall in or out if the need arise.

Its a tough one because at a point, I really wanted her. But now that marriage is in the picture, I'm beginning to have my doubts.
