A large number of vehicles on the road needs to be discouraged and we need a clean, safe and efficient public transport system.

They are been paid 27th of every month since the strike started. PRODA falls under this category yet all their staffs are getting paid while on strike.
FG is owning all staffs in federal universities their salary arrears of 2022 . Those ones suspended their strike to have something in their pocket. Let FG withdraw the salary arrears on fixed deposit and pay. That’s how they dragged new minimum wages areas for a year before they finally paid in May 2022.

All the striking unions already called off strike the past month after a brief meeting with the government.

ASUU has refused to call off the strike because the Federal government is not willing to pay them their 6 months salary arrears.

They've however been very tactical with the strike time frame. At first, they declared one month strike, then kept increasing the time frame while making it look as if they were willing to call off the strike in good faith.

They declared an indefinite strike after the government had met 60% of their frivolous demands.

Before the federal government thinks about paying the union their 6 months arrears, think about the effect it will have.

ASUU is known for declaring strikes every year because they often get paid before they resume back to class.

Where is it done that a union will declare 6 months strike, and still be expecting a salary for work not done?

There is without a doubt that the union has lost the sympathy of 80% of most Nigerians, and the only thing stopping students from declaring them public enemy No.1 in the educational sector is because of "fear"

If the federal government decides to pay them today, nothing will stop them from declaring a 3-5 years strike tomorrow!!!



ASUU is failing to realize that nobody is happy with the present-day government.

Declaring over 3 months of strike while expecting pay for work not done is selfish, and unjustifiable.

In a sane world, a union is expected to press its demands for a maximum of 3 months before resuming back to classes.

Before declaring an indefinite strike; the union claim they are not going to make up for the lost months if the government fails to pay them

No matter what happens, students will always be at the receiving end.

During our time, lecturers were so inconsiderate after calling off 4 months ASUU strike. They started exams immediately as if we were the cause of the strike/fight.

The bolded part has always been the tradition of ASUU. They don't make up for all the lost months.

"ASUU claims the strike is a sacrifice for the generation to come." They should also be willing to sacrifice their one-year salary for the generation to come.

Paying ASUU will mean more subscriptions to more strikes in the nearest future.

Not paying them their 6 months strike will make them more reasonable before declaring another strike in the nearest future,
(II) It will enable them to give more listening hears to what the government has to offer quicker, rather than standing on what they want!

To make the long story short.

I never realised what i was getting myself into until i started googling and then discovered what i had gotten myself into. This has rendered me hopeless, almost useless, and broke.

Since 2020 until now, i have only laboured in vain. i became unable to take proper care and provide for my family not because i don't get paid from work (i do have a work which i do) though the pay does not come every time. Greed, wanting more i would say has lead me to these part that is about to break and destroy me completely.

I have a very loving and hardworking wife, who has saved me countless number of times. i have broken her hearts by these singular addiction. i have tried several ways to stop. but once money gets into my hand the first thing that comes to my mind is to feed my addiction.

Most times i cry alone in the house and wished i could turn back the hand of time. I have felt depressed, lost weights, and my confidence, and the suicidal thoughts as deep down i know i should be better, i should do better for my wife and child.

i lost everything to these monster, my car, my peace, my respects, even some friends.

since 2020 now, i have no savings, infact i empty my account in less than 24 hours because of my greed.

on several occasions i have used the money meant for purchasing another car since after i sold the other one. i spent the money to feed these my monster.

even when i WIN i lose it all back. just 3 months ago. i had lost almost #2m. these happen within 2 days.

I am slowly dyeing inside. when i look at my child and my wife and what my actions have put them through. and for the fact that i keep going back. i then feel there might be something else wrong with me.


I have followed some forums for help but i keep going back. please and please if you know how or what to say to me that will help my situation please do.

Ordinal
Interval
Ratio

Nominal can't be counted or described with numbers e.g political party,sex, religion
Ordinal can be ranked but can't be counted e g first position, second position......,
Interval can be counted with numbers but has no absolute zero e.g temperature values 0°c is still a temperature value
Ratio can be counted and has an absolute zero e.g height,weight

Now good and evil falls under nominal data,we can't describe them with numbers just like you said but we have a reference point or basis for saying that a thing is good or bad. For instance you can say that a person is good if he acts a certain way, "acting in a certain way" is the basis for describing the person as good or bad. I used examples with ratio data because it is easier to relate to what I'm saying when I use numbers but it's still the same point that I'm making,there has to be a reference point !!!
But then to rove to you that my argument is still valid I will use a nominal data for my analysis.
Suppose to be regarded as male the reference point is possession of the XY chromosome,has a pënis and tësticles,produces testosterone and female as possession of YY chromosomes, a vågina and womb, production of oestrogen, then that means that anyone who possesses the former features are male and the latter person female. Now if you say that a particular person is male whether the person possess Yy chromosome or XY, whether the person produces testosterone or oestrogen, whether the person has a pënis or vågina then the word male looses it's definition and becomes arbitrary because there is no reference point to distinguish between male and female.

And i said, it depends on the criteria on which you define existence, or being alive.

I know the argument seems similar to you, but it simply isn't. And I've tried several times to explain why.

We have a fixed definition of what it means to exist, or at least, what it means to be alive.

We can define God existing or being alive based on these criteria... God, as far as i can see, seems to be subject to how we define these things.

That is why you can use this logical step to prove a point.

BUT ... God is not subject to how we define right and wrong. We've said it a hundred times and agreed on it.

Whatever God does, regardless of what it is, becomes the criteria for what good and bad are, not the other way around.

Because of that, the analogies you're trying to use there, simply break down.

God lacking the capacity to die, is viewed as immortality. It is NOT that whatever God does, whether he ceases to be alive or not suddenly changes the meaning of what being alive and dead are.

In the case of right and wrong, God not being able to do wrong isn't a case of him just doing good, based on an objective standard of good and bad. It is that whatever he does, become the new rule for what good and bad should be.

It's like this

Standard for being alive ----> God

God ----> standard for good and evil

You are the one who gave the analogy of the microbes in the toilet and the person cleaning the toilet, and how one thing can seem good or bad depending on the reference point.

You also gave 2 examples.. one of the obese child and the other of the child receiving rabies injection to prove your point.

I'm going by the point you tried to prove, and now you're trying to avoid it.

My perception of what good and bad is, is as irrelevant as the child when he was held down to receive his injection, or the boy who was locked up to save his life, or the microbes in the toilet.

You further said something along the lines of "if God appeared, we would be much smaller than bacteria or microbes to him" or something along those lines..

Stop asking the microbe what he thinks is good or bad. I am not the arbiter of good and bad. Whatever answer i give is irrelevant.
