Trust me tewmuch ,i know what i am saying.I just don't want to divulge too many details but trust me on one thing, detainees use cellphones in SA prisons. The guards in SA prisons are extremely corrupt. If you have any friend in SA or relative just call him to confirm. I am telling you what my friend saw with his own eyes. Let me tell you how SA prison works. There is a prison based Gang called the "the 26".They work with the prison guards, they are very deadly and they control everything that goes on in SA prisons. When you get arrested and get detained ,they will come to you and ask if you need anything especially if they know you are loaded. They sell drugs in the prison, they hire out cellphones ,they even organize you prostitues on Sunday nights. They are well connected in the prison community.

My guess is that Okah knows some of their leaders and immediately he was arrested he got in touch with them so that they can make his time in prison comfortable. I am telling you for a fact that in SA prisons ,there are gang leaders who have full HDTVs ,cellphones ,fax machines ,laptops with wireless internet in their cells.Their are mafia bosses in prison who still run their mafia business from inside the prison. You have to see it to believe it. Trust me Okah is not feared in SA ,he is not considered a dangerous man here because he dines with local politicians and he is HEAVILY connected. He is not a threat to SA so they don't care about him. Him using a cellphone is nothing in SA.

Anyone in SA will confirm what i am saying as being true.
This is not an issue of a local drug lord, yahoo boy or gun runner. This has to do with international relationships between countries. Trust me, what you wrote above will never apply in this case. UK, US, and Nigeria are involved. SA will not want to soil their name or spoil their relationship with these countries. He was denied bail so that he will not run from the country. Giving him a cell phone by any official will make escaping easy for him, as his accomplices will be well informed on the prison. This will not happen. I am sure they did not just put him under any kind of detention. This is a very high profile, international, criminal and terrorist case. No country wants this kind of news coverage or to be responsible for such a criminal.

Show your prove that Okah is a terrorist. Even your beloved GEJ has not referred to Okah as a terrorist. Until GEJ and his clowns come out with credible evidence, Okah remains an innocent man.
GEJ is not my beloved. He is the lesser among evils of the devils campaigning. If Okah was so innocent, he will not be in prison and denied bail. Even you should know this, stop turning a blind eye to obvious things. Concentrate on how Nigeria can be better, so that your descendants do not have to deal with all this bull$shite.

Faeb have you ever been to any prison before? How can you be sure that his cellphone is not with him. I live in SA and i am telling you that big shots in prison are allowed to make phone calls from their cellphones . I once had a friend who was arrested for assault and he kept calling me with his cellphone to raise money for his bail. There are prison official who will turn a blind eye and allow you to use a cellphone in prison as long as you "SETTLE" them. Okah is a big shot here in SA. He is well known and well connected. I am sure he is with his cellphone and probably a flat screen TV in his cell. This kind of thing happens even in western countries like the USA. In prisons there gangsters who have pimped out cells with waterbeds ,LCD tv ,xbox console e,t,c and they even get laid whenever they want. Okah using a cellphone from prison is no big deal in SA. It is a normal thing ,it may not legally allowed but it happens. He did not commit any crime in SA so they won't be strict with him. Besides the guy is a multimillionaire here so he can pay his way out of prison.
A high profile terrorist prisoner? Please think about this again. This thing has made the news and Okah will be under strict supervision because he is a flight risk. That is why he was denied bail. They will not let him near an exit, or leave him without guards watching him not to talk of a cell phone.

Where did he make such a claim please?
dappssee:
In a telephone interview from a South African number, a man claiming to be Henry Okah has said that government's efforts to cast doubt on the Aljazeera interview is what partly prompted his call to NEXT. In order to authenticate his identity, the man asked for, by name, some of the NEXT reporters Mr Okah has spoken with in the past.

When asked how it is possible for him to make phone calls from jail, he replied: "this is a civilised country. I can make calls anytime I want and to. I am aware of efforts by the federal government to de bunk my phone conversation with Al-Jazeera as a hoax and to dispel this, I am going to talk to the BBC and CNN tomorrow."

The phone call to NEXT, which lasted for five minutes, followed a telephone interview with the wife of former leader of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger-Delta (MEND), Henry Okah, (Azuka). During that chat, she promised to get in touch with her husband and set up an interview. A few minutes later, our phone rang, and the caller introduced himself as Mr. Okah.

He reaffirmed the accusation made in the Al-Jazeera interview that an official of the presidency did ask to him to exonerate MEND on the Abuja bombings and blame northerners, but refused to divulge the identity of the official. He did however say he saved a text message from the official. He read the purported text message out: "Please reach-out to MEND and ask them to re-tract the statement and the government will blame the Northern elements."

NEXT asked if his phones were not seized by the South African authorities, and he responded that "I have saved the message on another phone. Shortly after I got the text message, Dopkesi (IBB's campaign manager) was arrested. I will not release the message now because if I do, the next thing they will say is that someone/IBB has paid him to do this. As they continue to sour my name the more, I will release the message."

When asked if he had a hand in the bombings in Abuja, he replied in the negative.

For detailed interview, news and analysis on Abuja bombing, MEND and the Niger Delta get a copy of NEXT on Sunday.

Following the October 1st bombing in Abuja, and subsequent bomb threats in the Three Arms Zone of the Federal Capital Territory, the National Assembly management has heightened its security check.

The security checks and restrictions commenced on Monday, as shuttle buses were barred from the Assembly premises. The acting deputy clerk in the National Assembly, Olumuyiwa Adejokun, confirmed the new security measures, saying he was informed that the Assembly is one of the targets for the bombers.

Mr. Adejokun said the decision to stop the shuttle buses from coming in was to control the inflow of visitors into the Assembly. Other measures which the management has planned to deploy include restriction of visitors’ movement and a log to monitor the frequency of visits to every office.

Henceforth, visitors would not be allowed to drive their cars into the premises too. “They will park outside,” Mr. Adejokun said.

With the new arrangement, non driving staff and visitors would trek about 500 metres from the gate to their various offices. However, Mr. Adejokun said the measures are in the best interest of everybody.

“For the safety of every human being communing in here, we need to do this,” he said.

He also stated that some strategic offices in the Assembly complex would henceforth be closed to the public, including restriction on the use of personal laptops to access the free Internet facilities provided by the management.

National issue

Meanwhile, the Senate will, today, deliberate a motion on the October 1st bomb blast. The debate will be led by Anthony Manzo, of the People’s Democratic Party, Taraba State, drawing the attention of the Senate to the incident, which he described as a national embarrassment, for necessary legislative action.

The Senate is expected to come up with resolutions condemning the act and to urge the government to tackle the rise in insecurity in the country. It might also hasten the passage of an anti terrorism bill, which is currently before the legislators.

The blasts, which the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, MEND, allegedly claimed responsibility for, have been roundly condemned by Nigerians and the international community.

The area where the bombs went off, about some hundreds of metres to the Eagle Square, has been cordoned off since the incident occurred.

We would have gotten better, and better candidates will emerge. i hope a better election system is in place then. Jonathan will also win because he is just lucky, and is in the right place at the right time. Besides what have the 3 major ethnic groups got to show for their dominance? We may need a smaller group to show us the way, as we dont seem to be able to get along. The ND also deserves this opportunity, they have suffered and been exploited very much by the big 3. I may seem a little optimistic, but he will help us get closer to the light at the end of the tunnel. wink

I was referring to the location of the bombs. I think they have a moral and ethical obligation to the general public to report any of these kinds of deadly incidents if they are known before hand. CNN or any other reputable news company would not keep such information secret, because of the possibility of loss of lives. Which was the case in Abuja. What i am emphasizing is how they could be at the exact location of the blasts.

Focus? You do think too much of yourself, don't you? A WORLD NETWORK broadcasts stories on Nigeria and most EVERY other country out there, even North Korea and your EGO thinks it is all about Nigeria?
I LAUGH IN ARAB  - - - ROFL#&wink($$_()$

Simple, they were probably INVITED OVER BY MEND. Is it that you have a hard time making this sort of connection in your mind when faced with such issues?  Henry Okah CALLED Aljazeera so he can have his interview aired for the world to know. What makes you think MEND cannot do the same?
By the way, October is also the  Anniversary of the Amnesty ceasefire last year so it does also make sense that attention will be on the group and how far things have come in the year. You just have to ask yourself questions and probably do your research first rather than jumping on creating conspiracies where it is all SIMPLY IN FRONT OF YOUR EYES.

You are wrong. Everything foreign freaks DELUDED Nigerians -- Nigerians unable to accept what is right before their eyes as is but feel it is NECESSARY that they inject the ABSURD to make it more palatable for themselves.

Nobody OWES you NOTHING, not even the western Media. All they continue to do is reveal the truth of what is happening right there in your home. You either accept it or you  . . . .
Read over what you wrote, very daft. Nobody owes Nigerian's anything? And you are actually admitting that they were aware of the threat to Nigerian lives, did not tip off the government and that is o.k to you? Something is missing in your mind, no wonder you keep ROFLMAO. You need help, and sound very silly. Why does Aljazeera not report on Afghanistan and Iran? Why do they not go into Alquaeda hang outs where OSAMA is? Everything is not o.k with you. I wont even bother to respond to anything you say because you have just shown that your mind don throw way.

Nigeria, the North, And How It Will All End
By Leonard Karshima Shilgba, PhD

As I conclude, permit me to make some profound assertions:

1.There shall be no military take-over of government in Nigeria.
2.Many politicians will make a snare and fall inside. Some shall pay with their lives. Stray arrows shall get them.
3.The mystery woven shall be broken; the faces shall be revealed. That is the task of President Jonathan. If he deviates an inch from the true rule of law, betrays compassion, yields to pressure from “Traditional rulers” and “stakeholders”, he himself shall be consumed. Remember King Saul. If you spare King Agag, the throne shall be taken from you. I have spoken. He that has an ear let him hear.
4.I speak to King Agag. Although you say in your foolish haste, “Surely the bitterness of death is past,” you are deluded. For you shall be hewn down, even if not by the hands of a disobedient President Jonathan. “As your sword has made women childless, so shall your mother be childless among women.” You shall be blown up in pieces.
These are no ordinary times.
