ayo84:So anyone who doesn't support your overhyped candidate is 'Pro GEJ'? How old are you? 12? If you agree with my allegations, why are you still exhorting innocent Nigerians to donate their hard earned money to this fellow? |
@Macjive01 This is stale news you dolt! It's dated September 2010. First you post 'news' that a Witch 'confessed' to powering DaGrin. Now you post this stale rant from a drowning thief. Methinks you need to get a life ASAP. |
I can't believe people are falling for this crap. His campaign expenditure will be comfortably funded by the ACN and their medley of thieves. They just want to paint a picture that Ribadu is being sponsored by the masses. i have no idea why people are being decieved into believing that this corrupt, hypocrite and liar is the messiah for Nigeria. As an EFCC boss, he did not do his job in an outstanding manner, preferring to let the media sing his praises. It was Ribadu who told the world in 2005/2006 that Bode George had no case to answer. Naturally, the whole world was stunned when he came out to condemn Bode George only AFTER his successor had brought that old thief to book. While in power, the man helped shield and protect corruption by turning a deaf ear and blind eye to frantic calls for the prosecution of crooks like Anenih, Andy Uba, Bode George, IBB etc. When the going got tough the man lied to the whole nation about an 'assassination attempt on his life' to skip town. This man is no messiah. He is no solution. |
Only an idiot would post 'news' from the National Enquirer. Especially something of this nature. Thank God real oncologists have rubbished the claims of those two idiotic doctors. |
seanet02:Even worse! Instead of egging on the citizenry to go out and vote out these monsters, you're actually distributing this? Foolishness upon foolishness! Why should i have 'checked whether it was printed' before commenting? Perhaps i should also have asked you how much Indian Hemp you smoked first before posting this nonsense abi? |
Kobojunkie:You may find this difficult to understand, but the participation of everyone else in this forum is not limited to answering your silly questions. Good thing you confirm that your question was anything but intelligent. Good job on your part in dodging my own question, reproduced below. texazzpete:After all the tripe you've been posting here, why don't you just take up the gauntlet and tell us plausible ways INEC could have guaranteed that there'd be zero cases of minor registration. |
Kobojunkie:Ask an intelligent question if you want an intelligent answer. A system put in place to detect multiple registration cases will not detect minors or foreigners. the security personnel deployed to the polling units were supposed to be the line of defence against this scenario. It will be churlish indeed to hold INEC responsible for any lapses in this regard. |
Obviously you don't own a car and that's why you made such crass comment. Pot holes in freeways are death traps and can also constitute danger in low speed lanes. Do you expect him to be driving at 25mph on Lagos-Benin expressway in case of unidentified potholes?. Think before you type.
Look at this bush man. At 25mph (and if you spot a pot hole 100m away), you'll be able to easily stop in time. The OP says the car 'plunged into a river while trying to avoid a pothole'. No one drives at a river at top speed, so it's clear that the driver lost control of the car. Is this not only feasible at high speeds? |
Kobojunkie:I gave a simple answer: INEC cannot accept culpability for cases of registration of minors. It's common sense. If you need someone to blame, target the Nigerian security services and the Politicians that encourage this vice. |
Eko Ile:Typical sycophant! Constructive criticism has now turned into 'negativity'. Yet we wonder why Nigeria is still struggling. This is a decent move by Fashola. |
Kobojunkie:Now you're just being silly. I made that statement to cover registrations from foreigners and minors, not all cases of 'illegal names and prints'. INEC will be held culpable in cases of multiple registration. For registration of foreigners and minors, how are the corps members and the security men supposed to tell the difference between a Nigerian and a foreigner from west africa? Even if this exercise was outsourced to the FBI, there would have been no way to tell the difference (especially with the flop of the National ID card project). The 'doom-and-gloom' scenario you paint is laughable. Even in the worst case scenario, it is extremely unlikely that minors will make up to 0.5% of the names on the register. Kobojunkie:By the same standards, since Obama promised to safeguard the lives and property of the US citizens, he should be blamed for the snowstorms sweeping through America! 'free and fair' does not mean PERFECT. |
What a whiny letter! There are elections in April to vote in new leaders. Instead of the OP to start sensitizing the people in his/her environs to vote for credible leadership, they'd rather waste their time on useless writeups. If the Ogun people need change, let them troop out en masse to vote out PDP and all the rascals in power. Any other course of action is sheer foolishness. |
Kobojunkie:Why don't you tell us how INEC was/is supposed to protect us against child registration? Perhaps some magical software that can scan photos and determine their ages? Perhaps cloning our undermanned Police force so there would have been adequate security coverage to prevent intimidation of corps members? Perhaps give all Corps members employed weapons and martial arts training to scare off the thugs? Perhaps INEC should have issued a truth serum for the people coming to register? INEC is not responsible for the crookedness inherent in most Nigerians. |
alj harem1:Sun Newspaper is one of the top newspapers in Nigeria. They are crap, I agree, but they seem to have a substantial reader base. |
monkeyleg:Jega's system will provide the Government with a database containing 62 million names, fingerprints, photos, age, sex, address and occupation. It is not perfect, but it's significant. I cannot understand why any rational person will dismiss this significant data as irrelevant. Jesus Christ, is there no pleasing you people?! Tell me when in the history of Nigeria have we had such a significant amount of data captured with this level of efficiency! Give this data to FBI consultants and soon we'll catching armed robbers and kidnappers by their fingerprints. |
Kobojunkie:That is not under INEC's control. |
blacksta:So what kind of job do you think is best suited for primary school cert holders? of course these kind of menial jobs aren't aimed at graduates. |
Eko Ile:'old and irrelevant' information? You numbskull! CONMESS is a fixed agreement! 100% implementation is what the state doctors were asking for. if a doctor gives the expected income under 100% implementation of CONMESS, that is the maximum possible that the State Government will ever pay. Current information my foot! I don't know why this is so hard for you to understand. Eko Ile:Read this http:///index.php/news/4156.htmlThe article confirmed what i have been saying. The doctors could not trust the Fashola administration because of several failed promises. The Head of Service promised that all the negotiated demands would be implemented in January 2011. Where is all this talk of February 2011 meeting coming from? Does the promised re-instatement of Ibrahim Olaifa depend on the budget being passed? Tax review nko? At the end the Lagos State Government did not even do for their doctors what the likes of Ekiti and Ondo have done. Eko Ile:I'm saying that the Lagos State Government should walk the talk as far as medical welfare of Lagosians is concerned. I'm also concerned about the lack of transparency in all these matters. All we have is Fashola's word that he sent 300 patients out for kidney treatment. Where's the proof? Where's the transparent process for application to the fund? If there's a special fund set aside for renal failure patients from taxpayers money, why did the family of Lanre 'Shakomended' have to write to Fashola before he got state sponsored treatment? the Doctors strike lasted for 14 weeks. In this period, people died from Malaria, typhoid etc. The federal hospitals were overflowing and ordinary lagosians suffered. Why doth it profit a Governor to brag about saving 300 people while subjecting tens of thousands others to trauma and reduced healthcare? |
Ibime:Ribadu is just being a dreamer. He has no chance of winning and will steal valuable opposition vote away from Buhari. Tinubu's ambition will end up gifting PDP with the presidency once again. This is the best chance to strike PDP when the cracks are everywhere. |
hollandis:We don't have any slaves in PHC, sorry. Kobojunkie is right, this is entirely off-topic. I know you do not have anything meaningful to add so why not leave now and let the grownups discuss this issue? |
hollandis:It's 'Grammar' not 'grammer'. You forgot to send your address. My dear slowpoke, this is no time for false pride! |
hollandis:Please send me your address. I will ship free copy of Queen Primer, Brighter Grammar and Oxford Dictionary. They may be the same old dog-eared books i used in Primary school, but that should not trouble you as i observe that your skills at comprehending written English are at the same level i was at in Primary 4. PS: Please don't call me a f.o.o.l again. As a modest fellow, i am extremely uneasy at being called by a term you usually reserve for members of your nuclear family. |
Eko Ile:I must now admit that you're an irredeemable dolt! So on top of your low IQ you cannot even comprehend basic English? The man is talking about the pay regime at 100% CONMESS, not what the doctors were earning before the strike. This was stated in plain English! Go and call any JSS3 student and ask him what he understands by the statement "If CONMESS is implemented" Just to break it down to your level, 100% CONMESS is the best case scenario for the doctors, and it's the pay package that they would be receiving in that regime that the good doctor was referring to. What a shame, no wonder all the points i have been making have been flying over your head. Please indicate in your next reply if you will understand better if i write in pidgin English. |
Eko Ile:Oya now, since you keep asking people to 'research', go and ask the proportion of consultants to regular doctors and see if the word 'many' is apt. Also go and ask any consultant you know on the path to become one. This stinks of the same tactic the Federal Government used to kill our Universities. They go around bandying the salaries of Professors without mentioning that it takes years and years to become a Prof. Or even the salient fact that less than 10% of Nigerian lecturers are Professors. As a result the world forgot that entry level lecturers were taking home less than half of what their mates in banks were earning. The result? Even first class students were heading to Zenith bank instead of lecturing. And we may yet see a similar scenario in Lagos where the brilliant doctors emigrate to greener pastures. Since you're paid well enough for your cyber thuggery and sycophancy, you can afford to go to private clinics. I'm more concerned with the masses in Lagos who cannot. |
Eko Ile:You see why it is not good to skim through school? You see why i always contend that you're of limited value to your employers thanks to your low IQ? I mentioned 'TAKE HOME SALARY' and your paymaster is just dividing the annual salary before tax and coming to paint a false picture to the public. See the statement attributed to the head of the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors, (NARD), Lagos Chapter http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/features/goodhealth/2010/nov/09/goodhealth-09-11-2010-01.htm Commenting on the sympathy strike, President, National Association of Resident Doctors, Dr. Lanre Ekujumi said it is just the appropriate step to take. “The earlier the Lagos state CONMESS issue is resolved, the better for all. If you come to LUTH, the over-flow of patient is overwhelming and some of these patients are dying. Chairman, Nigerian Medical Association, Lagos State Chapter, Dr. Temisan Olusoji threw more light on the issue when he said that the Lagos doctors strike is over stretching Federal hospitals in the state, adding that the doctors in Lagos state have been on strike for 11 weeks. “Because of the strike, federal government health facilities in Lagos are breaking down because of pressure. Four federal government hospitals cannot cater for the number of patients that 26 Lagos state owned hospitals and 1 maternity home that Lagos state have caters for. Lagos has about 17 million people living in it.” “Patients are already suffering from Lagos state employed doctors going on strike. Lagos state government has been pretending that they don’t know the stress patients are suffering seeking medical attention just in four federal hospitals. “Several times we have contacted the Lagos State Government and no action has been taken. We have been reaching out to them through the Medical Guild and directly and nothing has happened. The doctors are of the opinion that the response of the Lagos state government to the issue of implementing CONMESS had been unpleasant and lacking in goodwill and reciprocity. They believe government could avert unnecessary industrial action if it so wills. Dr. Ekujumi said Lagos state is the only state where nothing has been put on paper as regards its commitment to implement the CONMESS. “They just want to force doctors to return to work without meeting their demands. Many Northern States have started paying CONMESS. Ekiti is supposed to start this month. Delta has offered to pay 70 per cent CONMESS and promised that by next year they will do more. The revenue drive of Lagos state is ten times bigger than that of these states. “If you want to offer free healthcare, than fund it, if you cannot, increase the fees. Don’t do free healthcare system at the expense of doctors. If CONMESS is implemented, according to Dr. Ekujumi, a resident doctor will go home at the end of the month with about N187,00, by the time they remove tax and bills, it comes to about N100,000. A fulltime consultant takes over N400,000, but of they are teaching and are also consultants, they take less than that. “In all the states, it is only in Lagos state that everything about CONMESS has been confrontational, Ekujumi continued, “the first step they took was to take doctors to court. If northern states, Ekiti, Ondo can pay CONMESS, Lagos can, because the revenue drive of Lagos is ten times bigger than that of these states. I don't know about you, but i'd rather believe the Resident Doctor leadership than the word of a typical politician. Why should we trust and believe Fashola? The striking doctors did when they called off their strike late last year. They went back on strike a few weeks back when the State Government FAILED to implement their agreement. The man earning the money says that even when CONMESS is fully implemented, after taxes and bills they will average around 100,000 net. I even assumed 120,000 and you're disputing with me. slowpoke. Fashola's statement is laughable at best. What is he trying to say, that in CONMESS, doctors will earn too much. Why was this 'obscene salary' not an issue with Ekiti and Ondo State? Why is in not an issue in many Northern States? Why is it only in Lagos that it suddenly becomes a greedy demand? Please answer the question ASAP. As to his statements that all state doctors get houses and cars, i must make time out to laugh. Politicians! My friends in Lagos who work as doctors for the state are busy saving up to buy Nigerian used 1998 Camry on their meager salaries and this man is telling the whole world that he has given the doctors cars. Even your messiah Fashola is not immune to such lofty and grandiose claims. I feel sorry for Lagos State doctors. They played a major role in getting the Federal Government to agree to the CONMESS salary structure, only to be cut off at the knees by their 'working governor'. They work harder than most of their counterparts in any other state in Nigeria and they are severely under-appreciated even while living in one of the most expensive states in Nigeria. Instead of their Governor to do the right thing he is going on the pages of newspapers to undermine them, to try to turn public opinion against them. It's bad enough when a smart fellow like Fashola does it. It's bound to be more painful when a buffoon like this Eko-Ile (aka babapupa) starts trying to spread FUD. Smh. |
Eko Ile:She's talking about transparency, you dolt! Even if the people are not consulted at every step, the Lagos taxpayer deserves to know where his money goes to and how efficiently it's being used. Or if it's being stolen. As it stands, the 300 people claim is just from Fashola. A cynical fellow would ask you if there's anything to corroborate this. Afterall, we've had Governors who claimed to have imported 1000 cows, only to see only 300 on ground. We had an Ekiti governor set up a chicken farm with no chickens. See why transparency is good? As for your 'lies' claim, i will not take blame for your stupidity. You threw down the gauntlet, asking us all to google the term 'Fashola kidney'. the first 30 results on Bing and Google do not carry anything else about any other non-celebrity patient. Am i to start doing your research for you? You say strikes occur everywhere. But i'm talking about strikes from members of one of the most critical professions in Nigeria! We all agree Lagos is overpopulated. Do you know the effect the strike action had on the suffering masses? And the strike was for extremely reasonable demands that 11 other states in Nigeria had already agreed to, including poor Ekiti State! Even the NMA Lagos says that if CONMESS is adopted for the state government, a Resident Doctor will now take home around 120,000 naira a month. So what it effectively means that your beloved paymaster does not think an overworked Resident Doctor should take home 120k a month even after putting in 7 years of intense study in a University! So much for 'protecting the lives of his citizens'. I am not impressed with your defence at all. Your masters should have hired someone more intelligent to argue their case, not an uncouth, ill-mannered rabble rouser such as yourself. |
sponspon:New G1 for 68k? bros, you don't have to lie. |

Check out this excerpt i grabbed from Gizmodo a while back. Most of the WP7 hate is from people who haven't used it. Watch a few YouTube videos, download the WP7 emulator on your desktop and see why the OS shows so much promise.
Still dwelling on what has been, eh Right now Windowsphone 7 is a mobile that seems to be completely disconnected from the reality of the present mobile industry. Imagine? No copy and paste, no Flash support, no multitasking. This might have worked two years ago, in fact it did work two years ago with the first and second iPhones, but tell Microsoft, this is not 2008 anymore. If they want to seriously compete, sorry to be cliché but they need to get with the times.
You said Windows Mobile has always been a failure, i countered it with factual data. Why the cheap dig? Windows Phone 7 will get copy and paste in March. Flash support will come eventually. IOS doesn't have flash and it's still running neck and neck with Android, scoring points as the better overall OS for now. Multi-tasking is coming as an update this year too. They are, in your words, 'getting with the times'. Nokia's first WP7 device will ship at the end of 2011. By then, all these updates will be out. The Windows Marketplace will have a load of apps (windows marketplace grew faster than Android Market and AppStore in the last few months). Nokia's Ovi maps will provide FREE turn by turn OFFLINE maps, every bit as good as google's offering. Bing is every bit as accurate (if not more) than google search. In short, by end 2011 Windows Phone 7 will be every bit as attractive as android for the vast majority of mainstream customers. |
