Kobojunkie: Finally, someone who is reading my mind. There are so many ABANDONED women out there today that need the help of these elders to deal with what has resulted from their being sold to the men they ended up with. The issue of the RIGHTS of these women needs to be dealt with. Not how much more or less we can settle with when selling them. Thanks! This is what I mean!!!!!!!!! The two issues are inter-linked - BRIDE PRICE and INHERITANCE! Igbo daughters are sold to suffer at their husbands place without consideration. If their inheritances are sorted out before they leave their father's house to theirs husbands, all the financial hardship and suffering they encounter at their husbands home, would be minimal. So, that's the issue the Imo State of Assembly and the great Ohaneze Ndi Igbo should look into, now. |
bashr8: your father decides who gets what, it has nothing to do with culture or elders. i know lots of igbo women that inherited a lot from their father, besides theres an igbo tradition called idunno , when you marry your family gives you properties, share of inheritance etc depending on how wealthy they are, my sisters got plots of land, houses, cars etc and they are direct heirs to my mums properties most of which she inherited from her mother and father and some she earned during within her marriage with my dad so stop this your cries and talk to your father about it.Lai, Lai, Lai! Generally, Igbo women are dis-inherited and it is a well known fact in Nigeria and Africa. You are coming from another planet of Igbo land - you hadn't penetrated and don't understand the culture. Your friend father is one in a Million and her brothers are very kind - wait until their Papa dies then, you will know if their brothers/wives/children are kind! Most affected by this urgly tradition, will equally argue this out with you. |
Tell them that I said, they should also fix the family INHERITANCES for all children born in a marriage, in Igbo land - MALE and FEMALE, ok! Because cultural injustices perpetrated on Igbo daughters, are too much and it's got to stop - it is evil! Igbo daughters are dis-inherited from their own fathers wealth e.g land, properties, Ngwu i.e. Palm trees, Ngwo i.e. Tombo trees, kola trees from the moment they married etc, why? Are we not our father daughters just like our brothers are his sons? And why, should marriage deprive us of our 'Birth rights' when the sons themselves keep everything they inherited, and will go and bring a woman from another family to take over our inheritances, in the name of being married into the family? It is unfair, and we must keep our inheritance - married or not! I need my own inheritance to take to my husbands place to look after my children, just as my brothers are doing with theirs and I ask, what is wrong with that? If its good for the goose, it is also good for the gander! And for those who would argue, what would a woman do with land, properties, Palm, Tombo and Kola trees respectively? I say, sell them all to the highest bidder and take the money to establish yourself at your husbands house, for the benefit of your children. Their wives should also, do the same and bring their own inheritances to their husbands house to establish themselves for their children - that is fair! For most Igbo daughters, the most painful thing is that, should your mother/father become ill, the brothers will abandon the responsibility on their sisters who are married away - yes, they don't want the responsibility but they want the rights. Look, Rights and Responsibility goes hand in hand - you can't have one without the other. Why call the sisters? Why can't your wives whom our inheritances had been give to, care for our parents and leave us alone, to care for our parent in-laws where we are married to, why not? It is fair that way! Even some girls from well-to-do families, may fell in love with a poor man and married him and, that's the end of her inheritance. She will then begin a life of struggle, poverty and suffering with her children at her matrimonial home where as her brothers and their wives and children are all, swimming in luxury in her own father's house - how could that be right? Now, you put up the above topic for discussion here please, go tell them to look into all these unfair ancient and obsolete laws and do something with them, in this 21st Century. Igbo daughters, are not happy about these issues and are seriously discussing about them in their respective locations via all communication technologies - one day, they will hear from us, about these injustices - tell them! ![]() |
Yes, 88 babies what a wonderful achievement in a country that lacks children? Hurray! When one check on some of these innocent babies after their 1st Birthday, you could count the ribs on their tiny chests due to malnutrition and you're here praising their demise. You inform their ignorant parents to stop and see the evil they are doing to their children because of their Ego! I think the law should look into punishing some ignorant parents for abusing their children this way - why bring a child into the world, you can not feed or care for? ![]() |
My nairalanders, Please, I need some advice from you yet again. My sister is in a very difficult predicament in London and I don't know how to help her out of this wahala...any constructive and actionable advice will be greatly appreciated. A little bit of background: My elder sister has been studying for a Bachelor's in the public health field at a university in London for the past 3 years. These 3 years have been exceedingly difficult for her. Our uncle and aunty pledged to support her financially through the program but every semester when the time would come to pay school fees, come and see fight and struggle. The girl had to beg and plead with them and do all manner of things to get them to pay up. Worse, because they were paying her fees, they took it as an excuse to convert her into a 24-hr nanny, maltreat her, etc. This semester she had a very stubborn American professor who made her life and those of some of her classmates very difficult (she had favorites). One day she threw my sister out of class on test day because she walked in a few minutes late (through no fault of her own) and eventually removed my sister from her module's roster. She maltreated so many students that a group of them lodged a formal complaint against her. Under pressure, the woman evenutually re-enrolled my sister in the course. Fast forward a few months. My sister had pretty much completed all the coursework for her degree and was on track to finish with a second class upper. All that was remaining was for her to submit one essay to this American professor. My sister slaved away at this essay for a solid two weeks - she wasn't picking me or my mother's calls because she was so focused, she wanted to finish well. She then submitted the essay only to find out a week later that the essay was not graded and she did not receive a mark for the module. She spoke to the professor and the reason she gave was that the essay was supposed to be submitted electronically AND in hard-copy - my sister had only submitted it electronically. My sister had missed the portion of the syllabus that read that it had to be submitted in hard-copy as well, an innocent and honest mistake. The woman has refused to mark the course point-blank and the university is now insisting that my sister resit that entire module next term (beginning February). The problem? 1) my sister's student visa is expiring in November, 2)my uncle and aunty have withdrawn all financial support from her and will certainly not be ready to pay for an additional term, 3)if she takes one module, she'll be considered a part-time student and thus ineligible for a visa, 4)she's barely managing to feed right now talk less of paying visa application and tuition fees. The school has offered to give her a basic degree, as in 3rd class, but my sister refused because it's an insult - if you know what she has been through these past few years?! It's a miracle that she stayed in school talk less of getting a 2:1. She spoke to a lady at the international student office and the lady said that she cannot help her because the directions for essay submission were very clear. What's more, she said that if my sister appeals the decision, she will have no choice but to bring evidence against her. Me, I think the American professor has a personal vendetta against my sister for reporting her. She picked my sister as the scapegoat becaause she was the only one in the group (that complained) who is not a British national. They are playing with my sister's life and future and it's simply not fair! Can anyone please advise us here? Justwise? Anyone? Who can we talk to or appeal to? Is there any room for legal recourse? These people have chopped 3 years of my sister's tuition money - they can't do this to her now! This is a lesson for every family member in the world to learn. The Scripture warned us in Jeremiah Chpt. 9 v 4-6, and again, 12 v. 6 and said,"Beware of your friends, do not trust your brothers. For every brother is a deceiver...". If you can not trust your own brothers, how then could you trust your own Uncle/Auntie let alone someone outside the family. People don't understand, in the West there's no such thing as family - stresses of life here can make the family lock their heart and throw away the key so, you're better off living on your own if you can afford it or with a stranger than family member. And how about, when you succeed in your mission? The same family members would say, without them you wouldn't have rotten in the street of London and wouldn't have made it - and I say, really? You see, what's destined, is destined and whom God has blessed, who can curse? So, that's family for you! You see we don't know the full story - there are 2 sides to every story and we've only just heard one side - yours! Thus, we don't know what the agreement/contract if any, your sister and your Uncle/Auntie reached at the beginning of all this however, with due respect, I am not really happy with your Uncle/Auntie's behaviours towards your sister. Everyone knows, most people struggle with a lot of things when they first arrived - a new country, a new culture and for a student, a new but different educational system/experience and now, what about the British weather etc However, I would only forgive them, causing all these hassle for her if both were illiterates and would not understand/fully appreciate the value of education especially to that level. I'm sure they are educated themselves hence I ask, why this lack of understanding from them both? Perhaps, we could blame it on your sisters behaviour towards them and not showing appreciation of the amount of money they had to pay, each semester? Sure, they understand the level of commitment - time, efforts etc one need to put in their studies here in the UK - this is not Nigeria or America - this is Britain! You do it yourself and be seen doing it - that is why, the qualification is an International Passport, it is respected all over the world. And, what are we talking about here? a) the Essays b) the Presentations c)the Exams d) the Attendances (at least 80% during my time!), the practice, plus your small, small contributions in class discussions/lectures, team work etc perhaps, your sisters attendance and performance in all these were inadequate for the American Professor thus, she blew her top. Remember, for her to be a Professor, she knew her trade very well and expect the same for her students because, it was not handed over to her easily therefore, she is not going to let them get that degree through the back door and without trying and be seen, trying! ![]() Most lecturers don't tolerate lateness to their classes. Baby seating and doing other things to support your Uncle/Auntie as they are supporting her too, may have contributed a lot to her lateness to lectures and practice hence, the threats of bringing evidence against her if she pushes the button again. Don't be surprise, they have a lot on her which she doesn't know, trust me! My advice to students who find themselves in this situation, and have difficult lecturers to contend with is, try your best to be friendly with your lecturers, try to find out if he/she can take e.g. jokes - it does help. At Christmas, send them Electronic Christmas/birthday cards - it doesn't cost money! If all these fails and you find yourself late to their lectures, in order to avoid embarrassment - don't bother coming in else, you'd be thrown out of lecture hall and evidence could mount against you - just ring in to say, you're sick and then go to your GP the next day, and get a Sick Note to cover yourself (if necessary) but I ask, how many times would you do this, before you're found out? ![]() And for your anger against the American lecturer, please, don't blame her, she has her own workload to manage and would not be responsible ensuring your sister manages her time well. Everyone knows, the West is full of stress and anxiety - Africans and certainly, Nigerians are not prepared for the level of stress they are going to encounter when they come here because, when compared with our country the stress level is minimal. I am not saying your sister could not manage her time rather 'how consistent?'. Your education is being monitored from the moment you first answered present in lectures, until they give you that their Hood - this is to ensure that, education actually went through you (touching every fabrics of the cells in your body)instead of your floating through education - as we do in Nigeria. ![]() And now, for the legalities - Because, your sister is a student and had no money, I suggest your sister check with the Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) with regards to her Visa Expiration/Extension to cover her resubmission in February or so... and circumstances surrounding it. Also, try to find out from them if she has a case against the University (don't think so... but worth trying, you never know as the laws changes quickly here) also, to research about Legal Aid, and Solicitors that offer the scheme. Finally, if CAB says you have a case, they usually point you to the appropriate Solicitors you can access failing that, try and put all your case/paper work together and contact the following: The FRU in London (i.e. the free representation unit)and here's their address. Please, Google their website and find out more. Free representation unit, 6th floor, 289 - 293 High Holborn, London WVCV 7HZ You need to download their form from their website, write a very good article on your situation and tell them you are a foreign student and, have no money and need free representation (that is, if shove comes to push!!!). The FRU is for Solicitors and Trainee Solicitors - so, atimes the trainee Solicitor will want some practice and do your case for free. Sorry to hear about your difficulty and Good Luck! |
Ebucca: This is a true life experience and i want you all to open your mind and read it carefully please moderator i want this on the front page. On the 10th of August 2012, at about 6:28 pm i was inside my dad's room after i have finished eating with my mom. I decided to lie down 'cos i was feeling weak due to my sickness. As i was about to sleep, a voice woke me up and asked me to pray for the world (which i haven't done before) my family and friends. After the prayer, the same voice asked me to read Psalm 100 i was reading the short verse before i noticed myself sleeping. I believe you!!! God bless you for sharing this wonderful Testimony! I believe every letter you put down here about your heavenly experiences, and I have not only taken a lot on board but have also, reconfirmed to myself, a dream I had few weeks ago which I am not going to discuss here - but as you said and as our Lord Jesus Christ always said during his Ministry on earth, 'he who has ears, let him hear'. Glad you obeyed the Holy Angel and declared to as many people as you can on here and other places you'd been, with this wonderful story - you've done your job, it is up to them! For me, I am a sinner and I am trying my best to make heaven however, I would say for the past 4 year I gave my life to Christ, I have been doing nos: 1,2,3 and 5 consistently but right now, I will endeavour to ensure, the remaining 3. Please, continue to win more souls for God's Kingdom in Jesus Name, Amen! God bless you for sharing this powerful message! |
Blame our Culture! A culture that raises their daughters to feel inadequate of themselves - to feel that, they had to have a man in their lives to be a 'woman' is a sick culture. In Nigeria, girls' are raised with the mentality that, everything you want/need in life, it's your husband's/boyfriend's role to provide it for you - so what do we expect when young girls throw caution in the air and chase what they could get and, they usually get it - don't they? ![]() Girl's are raised from a very young age to behave well and act well, to be able to find a good husband when the time comes. Therefore, men would find them attractive and of good character and come and marry them. Marriage is the ultimate ambition and achievement of every Nigerian girl - ask them! Thus, young girls began to learn the tricks of the trade from a very young age and by the time they reach their late teens, they're already well averse in their specialist areas - they all know what to do to catch a man! Yes, that is how I see it and, how do you see it yourself? Is it too far from the truth? Because, there is a demand for it and parents subconsciously, supplies the market with what it needs, through their daughters. You could hear friends, sisters, parents, family members all claiming 'my sisters married well, all my daughters married well, all my friends sisters married well!!! However, when you probe and analyse a bit further, you would see all the hallmarks of materialism and we are here asking why our daughters are materialistic. huh! Because, Society is in competitions with itself on material acquisition! Yeah my brother has got himself a new babe - the latest car, gadgets and the best luxurious home with 1,000 rooms, abi! And you'd ask, how many does he sleep in, at night?? For example, Babangida with his 50 rooms, how many does he sleep in, at night...just only one. huh!!!!!!!!!!!! It all centred on, the need to acquire - acquisition, acquisition, acquisition and if your soul is called tonight, all would be left behind... It is a thought the ill-gotten wealth suckers don't want to entertain but it's on their door waiting.Famous people like Michael Jackson, left the Never, Never land Estate behind. Elizabeth Taylor, left all her famous gold and diamond jewelries, hehind. Elvis Presley left Graceland, abi o o! And these lot, too will abandon ship when the Good God calls! Shouldn't detract from issues here. Therefore, if we need to deal with the issue of materialism in our society well, the diagnosis and cure is in the 'HISTORY'. Until we dig deeper into our consciousness and re-evaluate our beliefs and values as a society, we will not get anywhere faster on our backs! Let me prophesy now - it is going to be worse!!! And before we do that, let me also take people to the other end of the spectrum. There are parents who were able to raise highly intelligent, independent and high flying career women - whom no man can provide any thing for. In fact, they have it all, and there's nothing a man can afford to give them except a baby (as if the man himself doesn't need a baby, too!) but that's not a need for these girls. And it's not a need at all these days because, there's always a bank to get them if they want to so, there's nothing a man can give/offer them, eh! ![]() Parents of these sort are also in turmoil/exhausted with worry as some of them even keep men and give them allowances each month - only a lazy hangers-on of a man, the son of a b i t c h would appreciate a woman to keep him, and we all can predict that the end of such relationship, is not too far - and then, society picks up the dysfunctional aspects of it. Black man with his ego, would not want to play a second fiddle in a relationship for too long - don't we know that? So, which of these categories of daughters would you ladies prefer then? I leave you all to inform me! All I can say is pray/fast hard that the devil does not locate your door. And please, don't come here saying, he can't - because the Bible tells us that, he is busy prowling about, looking for opportunity to devour - so, never say never!! Instead raise your children with the fear of God, be on your knees with prayers/fasting always for your children and commit them to God everyday. Ensure, your social group and other people you interact with, are true Christians and God fearing (whatever that means - I leave you to interpret for yourself!). Finally, attach yourself to a strong and Highly Anointed Ministry of God - that way, you win the devil and his messengers, over your children. Remember, the devil's eyes are on your vulnerable areas - the weakest link in your life, any thing you love so much, and your heart is on! It could be your only child - son/daughter, any of your children, your finances, your family, your job/career etc so far as your heart is on it - he will make a visit. So be watchful/prayerful and, trust in God - the devil will flee from you - and that's my 2 pence!! |
That's how he will make Heaven! And I ask, what would he stand to loose, by going into a Church? All creature great and small are made by Jehovah, Almighty God - whether Muslim or non Muslim, whether Righteous or sinners - we are all God's children and we have all sinned. Goes to show what the Bible says, about the Pharisee and the Sadduces - a typical Nicodemus, a person of the world who would rather please things of this world than God his creator e.g. he could not go into the Church for the sake of his standing/status in the Muslim community. He rather, please his colleagues and Muslim brothers/religion without any consideration for his Salvation - where would your soul go, when you depart this world? For him, it's far better to please man and his world than God the Creator! |
Yes, so much in love with him...but he's long deceased now, unfortunately! |
Yes!!! |
Rubbish! |
And where shall the wicked go from thy spirit? (Psalm Chpt. 139 v. 7 - 12) Ignoring the word of God saying, "Touch not mine Anointed, and do my Prophets no harm" (Psalm Chpt. 105 v. 15), satan's agent thought he's home dry, and that he would not be found out. Now, he believes there is a man called "God Almighty in Heaven" who sees all that we do in secret and in the dark - there's no escape from his presence. I am only sorry for the unfortunate Prophetess but rest assured your blood, the Holy One of Israel, your God will Avenge! |
rokiatu: Damn you went hard. Thanks sis! But, sometimes we have to say it exactly as we see it - we are too much for our selves! Can't see it ever changing. |
It will never end! Women have always been mean to each other since Biblical days e.g. Sarah and Hagar (Gen Chpt. 16), Rachel and Leah (Gen Chpts. 29, 30), Hannah and Peninnah (1 Sam. Chpt. 1). So, women's jealousy/envy of each other will never end - because the elements are in our nature. Jealousy gives rise to gossip - gossip gives rise to betrayal/backstabbing - these gives rise to threats, verbal and physical abuses and to an extreme, open doors to ogboju, witchcraft and to all the world of darkness has, and if care is not taken, the eventual demise of an innocent person. In our nature we look gentle but we are not - we are even worse than men in our underground activities. When a man says, you will see - don't worry too much about it because, after a pint of Beer/Larger he forgets all he had said in anger however, when a woman tells you the same - be cautious! We never appreciate each other and will always look out for others weaknesses and use their vulnerabilities as a weapon of attack on their personality. A woman would latch on any thing to cause embarrassment and destroy her rival/opponent. We never see anything good on each other - it is a curse! |
Hope, she knows what she's doing! Hope, the man's heart is not broken after honeymoon, I pray o o o ! |
And I should add, only in Nigeria would International Community watch a University graduate more than 60 students with First Class Honours under one shot - quite dodge!!! Every where you look is corrupted, fear catch me for this country! |
Ha ha ha ha! Here's the closest you can get to the truth - check it out! https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=Uk+-+married+men+live+longer+than+single+men%3F&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a |
Hmmmmmm! Very sad, indeed! But, I have a word for the lady that did this - never, ever think you're home dry! "... for I the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for sin of the fathers (and mothers!)to the 3rd generation and 4th generation of those who hate me". Ex. Chpt. 20 v.5 You see, A 4 1 9 is a 4 1 9 however innocent looking they might be!!! Never, let their claws enter you - always, watch out cos' there's a tiger out there roaming the streets with dangerous demonic portions to entangle you in their webs until they destroy you and they certainly, do!!! But then, his family warned him, didn't they?huh! ![]() You see, I find traitors revolting - can't stand them. Give me a gun, I will definitely shut the hell out of their a r s e s, honest! In fact, any human being (man/woman)that selfishly, ignores his family's advice over issues as this, because of a cheap trap of a 'dick' or 'fanny, that can easily be gotten or replaced from everywhere you look, is nothing but 'Judas Iscariot' - a traitor. Don't we all know how that evil man ended up? Those who sell out their families over cheap emotional encounters, will eventually find themselves lonely and cold in the dog house and perhaps, end up like their master as in this case - watch who is in rehab now obviously, not me or his family! In situations as this, that's when these f o o l s should rely on their families antenna because, family sees those corners your drowsy eyes will never reach when the love portions hit you! Sure, when the boat rocks as it would surely rock because of the evil motives at work in the first place - I think family should forget about you, and let the world learn from your foolishness if at all, they would. Obviously, there's bound to be another f o o l out there like you, to take your mantle as the world continues to go round! |
madridsta007: The name London, is like a brand... Albeit, a dwindling one, I must admit. People come here not because that they can not get what they want in their home countries or other countries of the world, but just because of the hype, 'I have been to London'. And the government then milks people through taxes, they simply tax anything taxable and non-taxable. From the airports, to schools, to councils, to train and bus tickets, to goods and services. Like someone earlier said, it is a multiplier effect as the landlords, the small Indian-own shops, the phone providers etc, make sure the consumer bear a brunt of the taxes. Very soon, we shall soon, I foresee in the future that the air we breath, we would soon be taxed of it.Don't think so, bro!! You got to know the Country behind the City you're talking about And, for it to fall down in ranking as you dream - you'd first of all, smash the 'HISTORY' of this country then, your dream will come true until then, keep dreaming...! Remember, London has been going on as a city since the 10th Century - so, she is not a young girl, ok! Generations move in and out of London. Before this generation, there was one before and they all have moved out, both in the country and other parts of the world. You see, this is the way it works - before you hit London, put on your thinking cap and devise a strategy to quickly make your money and get out of the 'rat race' else, you'd sink in - why? Because, if you don't take your time, 'Every penny you make in London, you spend in London and you won't have 2 pence left, to rub together, let alone take the money home, to Niga'. It is obodo oku na eri ego - Magic city, American wonder!!! So use your brain, work hard and make your money quick and leave the city that's the key!! London can make some people millionaires quick and others very, very poor indeed! |
You see, inasmuch as UK legal system is effective, I'd rather have these thieves tried in the UK however, let the American legal system do the hand-over of sentence because dat side, na dem specialist eria o o. ![]() UK, too lenient o o, too sympathetic o o when it comes to sentencing. To me, these thieves must die in prison, honest!! What they'd done to Nigerians only God can inflict the maximum punishment I have in mind for them. Unfortunately, my thought doesn't matter. And based on that, I rather have America try them at least, Nigerians can get solace from the fact that, they will never see the sky much in a day, for a very long time, and it will be best they die than serve American sentence - they know it. But one asks, what would happen to the money when retrieved, back home? Sure, another thief will embezzle it and this time, run off to China and the saga continues all over again - how endemic!! Here we go again, same old story. Sigh!!! |
krap: Nigerian Politicians Are Very Insane, They Kill Dreams – Richard BransonThanks for bringing this news on here! Another foreigner unveiling the evils of Nigerian politicians - God will vindicate his people one day. Nigerians, when will you all, RISE UP and drive these politicians (past and present) that have ruined our country out, when? Men of other countries are busy cleaning up their country - Egypt, Libya, Syria etc are all on it and you are all sitting there, waiting for who to do it for you? Imagine 50 yrs +, they say, we are still developing and I ask, when will we ever stop developing and be developed? This story not only confirmed but threw serious light, on why Nigeria at this rate will never, ever develop. Imagine the level of bribery that drove a conglomerate out and thus, made way for the new private Airlines we have today that are never up to standards, never maintained and killing people? And, when the level of bribery is this high - which conglomerate would want to waste their time and money investing in Nigeria and create the ever needed jobs for the poor and young people? Now we have private Airlines, secretly owned by these thieving politicians, running on our tarmacs when our own National pride - Nigerian Airways is dead almost 25 yrs ago - how could this be right? No wonder they killed it, in order to float theirs, which they bought with our money - what a country This is why Nigerians up and down the country must 'RISE UP' against these thieves that have no shame, drive them out of our country and put in place a constitution whereby them and their families will never step foot into our country again because, they don't love Nigeria and its people. Now, we all can see why Nigerian Airways collapsed and varnished from thin air. An i d i o t was here last week, defending the collapse and blaming it on not being 'cost effective' and now, we know it was only cost effective in politicians pockets. Nigerian was not the only country in the 1980's running a National Airline - UK, America, Spain, Germany, France, South Africa, Kenya and Ethiopia were all there and still are as we argue over this, now. Instead of blaming themselves for laziness, lack of foresight/intelligence, business skills and competitive spirit as the others, they have bundles of excuses to give, just as the Bible declares, "The sluggard says, There is a lion outside or, I will be murdered in the streets" Proverbs Chpt.22 v.13. They are lazy in the brains compared to other leaders of this world, that's the problem! Competition does you good, everyone knows it! It not only brings prices down, it also empowers the consumer with lots of choices and quality service thus dictating the course of the market - what is wrong with that principle? That brings me to the issue of Dangote Industries having Exclusive Rights to supply Nigerian Market and I ask, why should one man alone, supply 160,000000 million adult Nigerians with essential goods when other companies could and should compete alongside him in that market so that prices are not only brought down for poor Nigerians but also more job could be created? These leaders just want to stifle Nigerians and keep us under bondage forever, na lie for them - time will come when Nigerians will wake up to their realities and chase these evil men out of our country for good and never, to return to our country again! Imagine, the way they'd ruined our country, and Nigerians are all over the world looking for opportunities to survive at all cost - you only have to look at the number of Nigerian thrown out of Libya yet, Nigerian government did nothing to rescue their own people or even put in place relief for them to get home - what a shame!! Nigerian leaders (Past and present) do not like us therefore, do not deserve to live in our country and, why must we spare them on our soil if they could do things like this without a thought for their own people? It is so painful!! When I look at the excuses of that son of an evil politician and his supporters who should know better, and considering some of them lived abroad where they had the opportunity to break out of suffering and poverty and now, had returned home with their investments intact, living well in Nigeria when they wouldn't have done so if they'd remained in Nigerian all their lives, with the likes of Dangote spreading out and controlling everywhere. By supporting this politicians son's argument, about Nigerian's lack of development, I feel disgustingly sick about them. But then, when one analyze the degree of intelligence in their comments it does not surprise me. They claim the thief's son was able to substantiate his arguments with evidence and I ask, what evidence? An evidenced-based research statistics or a press report or what? Personally, I do not have to bother about going to back up my own arguments with research because, there are lots that would provoke me the more, if I dig in there but why would I, when I have as many as 160,000000 Nigerian adults as witness - enough evidence for any courts in the world. ![]() Yes, that thief was able to convince the low-minds and made you all believe that the White man is to blame for the ills of our country and not Nigerian leaders (past and present) despite that, you lot went to a White man's country and made your fortunes - if the White man was that bad, why did you have to escape to their country, for your future? At least, they gave you opportunity in their own country and I query, why shouldn't Nigerians have same opportunities in their own country and, what opportunities did the leaders you support create for you, talk of your children's future? You are all here secretly supporting these thieves because of your own evil motives - seeking contracts from evil government officials and wanting to make us believe you are in support of the people, when you have a lot in common with the thieves, themselves and I leave you with this, "He who oppresses the poor to increase his wealth, and he who gives gifts to the rich both comes to poverty", Proverb Chapt. 22 v. 16 - watch it one day it will happen! This is why, Nigeria will remain a developing country for the next 300yrs, as that son of a thief declared on that thread, last week. Finally, chew on this, continue with your evil ways and forget that, a man can die and all he acquired perish at a flash - there is a man call God Almighty, and he will fight for the poor one day - good luck! |
Man's greed, greed, greed!!!!! That's why! Also, people want quality lifestyle just as the rich and famous have, and someone will pay for it through their taxes hence, UK will never be a Tax Heaven. The NHS, the elderly, the disabled, single parents, jobseekers and child benefit etc must be cared for and paid for and this can only be achieved by hiking up the Tax/NI of those who work/businesses. When you're sick NHS picks up the bill - you get looked after, get fed plus your treatment and you don't pay a dime - you, your children and wifey get cared for whatever the sickness, and your children also, get free education, abi! Even those who have not contributed in any ways, still get care e.g. foreign students as yourself but one could argue that foreign students contributed via their tuition and I will argue, in other countries you still have the added responsibility of paying for your health care issues e.g. in America, you will still put in place Health Insurance should you fall ill whilst studying therefore, give UK a credit for that. They don't charge students for health problems and remember, without health there is no life. Your health is your life/future. Yes, Uk is expensive but most things were hiked up as a result of the this Olympics - before, it wasn't this bad at all! As you can see, the Olympics committee over charged/priced a lot of things out of this world hence, the empty seats here and there - shame on them!! They thought they would recoup their Olympics investments in one day but it was a washout for them, on Day 1 - when they could have adopted Tesco's early days market strategy 'Pile it high and sell it cheap strategy ' in order to recoup their investment, plus profit. So, it was because of this Olympics that prices went every where - utility bills went up, British Rail tickets went up, Council tax went up, therefore, landlords raised their rents. Personally, I don't live in London as I can't stand the 'rat race' but I live in a University Town where I rent my rooms to the University for £380.00 per month, might increase it come this academic year - Students be warned as you all know, education don't come cheap and you will recoup it at the appropriate time in your life, so don't look at what you pay - look at what you will gain, after all!! Now, you can see the few reasons, UK is not a Tax Heaven!!! ![]() |
ROSSIKE: Blah blah blah...... Madam. please kindly spare us your irritating noise and don't expect for one second that using upper case letters makes you sound any less stu.pid than the others who have posted their rubbish here. You're talking of things like power shortage and so on. Only an ILL EXPOSED BUFFOON thinks Nigeria is the onlyt place on earth with power cuts. India, Brazil, Jamaica, Venezuela, Thailand etc all suffer power cuts. If you don't believe me, simply Google those countries 'names and type 'power cuts' after them, and see all the evidence for yourself.Hey, hey, Mr Well Exposed! Is that the best you can do? So, these are your model countries - pity! You can do better! Stop taking Nigeria 2 hundred years behind enemy lines as we will all perish, if these are the countries you model Nigeria on - disappear from my face you sluggard brain and backward thinker! India, Brazil, Jamaica, Venezuela, Thailand are your supper countries, eh! Even as third world and emerging markets as these countries, you're trying to rank Nigeria with are, can Nigeria ever compare? Aside, Venezuela that is more than developed from oil money compared to Nigeria at this stage, and given the achievements of these countries past and present rulers - what did Nigeria do with its own oil money - coward? Ah! But India had no oil, Jamaica none either and what of Thailand, mugu? Yet, they were able to develop their countries to the best of their abilities and how about Nigeria with her massive oil production? I think you want to compare them, when you placed Nigeria in their category. How dare you insult them?? These people have their own well trained Doctors, Engineers, Economist, Scientists etc who can compete on the world market and win billions of Dollars contracts abroad for their own governments and countries and bring, the money home, unlike your Nigeria thieves that take our money away abroad - that's the difference, if you don't know! Now sluggard, I ask again, how many of the above, have Nigeria?? Where can Nigeria see the back of these countries you listed here, in competition? You are here trashing mouth about something you are ignorant of. I ask again, how much foreign contracts do Nigerian Engineers and Scientist win for us abroad and bring the money home? Show us?? Instead, money that should be invested in these important sectors in our society to develop our own Engineers, Scientists etc or even to smarten our Universities to enable them raise these important people in society, are stolen by your leaders and hid away in foreign pots thus, leaving the country bare and vulnerable and you are here defending your 50yrs El Dorado. That's how I feel about you, and people like you and more! Imagine, Nigeria has been crippled by these thieves to an extent, she can not even boast of it's own 'National Airline - not even one, no modern Fighter Jets/bombers and our Nigerian Navy, is a broken man' and you have the gut to vomit shit here. Shame on you - you are a disgrace to this nation. When did I hear about Nigerian Airways last? As far back as 1985 and that was my last flight on it to Nigeria even then, I swore never again because of the state of it - you're a disgrace!! Yes, it's now obvious to you, that Nigeria couldn't compete on development, with these your model countries. At least, she can compete on corruption, power cuts, political assassinations, undeveloped educational system evident on the recent ban by British General Medical Council (GMC)on your so called qualified doctors. Banning them from taken up training in the Uk and other Western countries are watching them because, they lack basic medical skills - what a shame! And, how about the 'River Niger pot-holes' on your so called Express Roads up and down the country.huh! And, your General Hospitals? Don't even mention those mortuaries, please!! Yet, when their children/families feel sick they are the first to rush them abroad for treatments and pay foreign fee, with our money but, who rush Nigerian sick children abroad for treatment, I ask?? God will reward every one of you that has stolen or received stolen Nigerian money thereby, forcing our country on its knees and making her vulnerable this way, in Jesus Name, Amen!!! ![]() Again, I hear you say El Dorado within 50 years as if it's impossible. Now I can see, you are not only blind but also, have some neurological deficits - some connective tissues/cells are not really, synchronizing in your head, at all - badly wired and I don't blame you, but nature! Now, let's talk about this El Dorado that you mentioned on here. Because, you have small mind - you are a small thinker, frightened little mice, scared to take a giant leap in case, it break its limbs - everything seems to you an impossibility. You're a small minded man - get off, here!! You see, those thieves - you call your past and present leaders who had led Nigeria to oblivion now, and for the sake of Nigeria, if they'd left out oil money alone, in this past 50 year, mumu - can't you see, Nigeria would have reached her El Dorado - her promised land, eh? I promise you, at least, no Nigeria would have been living abroad now because, Nigerians never used to go and stay long abroad let alone to live there permanently. Because, of what these thieves have done to our country that's why Nigerians are every where in this planet including North/South poles respectively, seeking greener pastures - how shameful! So, your El Dorado would have been a possibility some 30yrs after Independence - if they've left our money alone. Based on your thinking, and with these kind of leaders you have in place and those in queues, waiting to take their turns in destroying our country, even in her 100th Anniversary, you will still give me the same crap excuses, sluggard! But then, the countries you are categorizing Nigeria with, have not got as much natural resources as Nigeria. India, has no oil, yet they are able to call on their Human Resources and out perform Nigeria, in every strata because, Indian leaders are smart - from Mahatma Gandhi to their present leader, are smart guys with foresight besides, they love their country from the bottom of their hearts - do your leaders? What your leaders are good at - is only embezzling their hearts off and out of their wickedness, and you are here to defend the indefensible when you should get out of that couch and chase them out of our country for the sake of future generation - and never to come back again as long as Nigeria exist - that's what all of you sluggards should do. That's what you should do mugu, and stop defending nonsense! With your attitude, I'm sure, you have connections to these thieves otherwise, you won't be here vomiting bile and I don't blame you. How could I, when every Nigerian little boy in school have nothing else to think about or engage his mind on, other than how he could make it to Aso Rock and embezzle more of his own. Tell me, what hope have Nigeria if her young people are thinking this way? So you can see, at this rate and as I said above, Nigeria can not make your El Dorado even in 300yrs - there is no hope. Yes, United Kingdom, America, Germany were not built in 40 - 100yrs and they had their own corruption but I ask, 'sluggard' were humans beings not created the same day? Were they not given the same brain cells - brains to think out good ideas for their own benefits instead of corrupt ideas? Certainly, sluggards will always have quantum excuses, for their under performance and lacking in ability to achieving targets set for him - they blame the White man. Keep blaming the White man! Yes, corruption is a human thing and the White man is not an exception - yet, they love their Country and have compassion for their own people. Despite their corrupt way, they were able to establish efficient systems favourable to the poor in society - e.g. efficient Health system, free education, Welfare system, good Air, Road and Sea logistics etc and I ask, how many of these can you boast of, in Nigeria? Name them!!! Yet, White man is not corruption free, is he? Nigerian has been independent for over 52yrs, now. A man born 50yrs ago, is nearing the age of retirement - imagine, power was given to Nigeria that long ago, and what did the leaders do with it? What are your tangible achievements, show us? All infrastructures Nigeria has today are still the same as the British handed it over to us in 1960 - in fact, they are in worse condition than ever, e.g. our Post Offices, Railways, the Nigerian Telecom (NITEL) etc are only just ticking - tick, tick, tick because, Nigeria doesn't even understand the meaning of the word 'MAINTENANCE' as we don't have that in our dictionary. And that brings me, to your online etiquette - here you're trying to teach me about technology. When did you first ever set those eyes on a 'COMPUTER', let alone to touch them and then, own one and work with them both at home/work, huh? Remember the date?? Eh? We all knew when Nigerian began to think about them - even as early as 1980's it was very rare and unheard of in Nigeria and here you are, coming to educate me on how to access information - soon you'd start, exposing your ignorance about 'MOBILE PHONES' too, and again I ask, when did it first commonly, appear on Nigerians streets - how long ago? Perhaps, 1970's, 1980's, 1990's.huh! ![]() Listen, until you wean yourself off this backward mentality, you will never get anywhere soon, on your back!!!!!!!!!! Get out of my face - thick!!! |
alexola20: Nice one @OP. Yes, alexola20, you are absolutely 'RIGHT' and on the spot. You know what, you can say that again 110+ times, please!! If insecurity are not gripping or felt by Nigerians on their own soil certainly, Nigerians live in 'DARKNESS'. Where on earth would you get 24/7 electricity without sudden power cut here and there - SHOW ME!!! I want to see! Also, where on earth would one go to bed sound and wake up in the morning exhilarated without worry and fear of who's knocking on the 'DOOR' uninvited gone midnight?? SHOW ME! And, if you survive tonight how about tomorrow, that's the query? Imagine, some Nigerians have lived abroad for over 40yrs and are frightened to go home because of the stampede they will experience from groups of armed robber every night when no one had ever harassed them in their own homes, all their lives abroad - what a shame!! Yet, someone is here pretending all is well at home, really? In your dreams!! Basically, this is nothing but blind patriotism!!! Call a peg - a peg and it won't change its structure, ok! It will remain a peg, right? Therefore, stand up and be counted. You see, these people are more concerned about the status and image of an already shattered country than the welfare of it citizens. I don't blame you, material world!!! Now, let's analyze the situation in our country a bit further maybe, some of you would understand that Nigerians are living below par. Imagine, Nigeria is not even at wars with anybody/country by any standard yet, most Nigerians are suffering hardship as if Nigeria is at war with other countries as a result, we must all put on our STRUCTURAL ADJUSTMENT JACKETS AND CAPS in order to stave off the war effects - shall we?? Oh, kwashiokor come back, hasn't it? Some Nigerian children are so malnourished and suffering kwashiokor as ifin Nigerian/Biafran war time. Some adults go without food for days not because, they are fasting rather, nothing to eat or feed their children and high level crimes are everywhere as a result. Don't want to say any more to these pretentious backward thinkers. That's just a little picture painted for you! Now, I wonder, how we would all fair in this country if another country challenges our National Security now, and invite us to war - I wonder! A lot of people would perish and the thieves would run off with all they stole from us thus, leaving these bind patriots in shame and hiding away for their own safety because of what they said, at peace time! Imagine, the thief politician James Ibori stole the heart off, his own state - plunging them into perpetual suffering and poverty yet, a Nigerian court set him free only to be convicted and imprisoned for 13yrs by a foreign court - what a shame and tarnished image of Nigeria world-wide and you lot are here blindly trying to preserve dignity Nigeria haven't got anymore - shame on you! I don't blame you all, as some of you hadn't even left Lagos or Abuja before how then, could you have seen the world you live? So, what could you bring to the table, when you have no point of comparison - nothing!! And for those arguing about these overt issues, I can only say - you are BLIND PATRIOTS and I rather, stick out like a sore thumb, exposing these evils in my country than glamorizing it at the expense of poor and hungry Nigerians who are out there in Nigeria streets, up and down the country this night, begging food and money to survive. ![]() To these cowards, I will only say, shame really shame to you all, for covering evil that is already a wide spread knowledge!! |
This one wey say holding a woman's waist whilst walking is necessary, I worry about him. I wonder, what made it necessary? Is it because, her waist will brake and fall off or what?? Is he sure, he hadn't gone further than holding his sisters waist? And this sister that allows her brother to hold her waist, whilst they walk, hmmmmm! Hope this does not unravel more sinister/immoral sexual acts going on between both of you - and what does your mother say, as I could smell some incestuous relationship going on, without any member of your family being, aware. Why? I assume both of you are intelligent adults and that you should know better but, it doesn't look it! For your sister to feel comfortable at your touch let alone, waist gripping says a lot about your relationship - I wonder what her boyfriend/husband would say to such an 'eyesore'. You know what, next time try offering your sister a bath. Ask her, 'Can I give you a bath' and see what she says - Nairalanders will be pleased... |
I don't believe this story The man is yet to say the truth surrounding this accident. It was night, and I believe everyone had gone to bed including his wife who should be sleeping next to him, or should I say it was Caroline's night and not the madam's? Or should I assume he was sleeping alone that night and don't know where madam or Caroline was that night? Hmmmm!!! He has to say the truth - don't trust his story. |
Thanks for engaging us all here with this beautiful pictures of Cities in our great Continent - Africa! However, if Nigeria thieves hadn't stolen the heart out of our country, Nigeria would have carried the torch for them all. Wake up Nigeria, wake up you are too old to crawl on your knees!!! |
Copiousworld: Nice wedding but was wondering why not a single black lady around? Are there no black ladies in Finland or she got no black female friends?Well, they did say there ain't many black people there as the land is infested with White people besides, na their land be that nobe so o o o? Hmmm, it indicates all them your black brothers out there, will be coming home with a few white wives soon - watch it!! So, if your boyfriend is out there, do not relax until you get him home safely... |
What a dis-functional way to start a modern family!!! The work of the devil who can stop but Jesus Christ - satan has used these twin sisters to hold this man and his family in bondage, pity! Soon they will be running down to the Synagogue Church of All Nations seeking Healing and Deliverance, I can't wait to see and hear their confessions and testimonies there, one coming Sunday. Yes, I am not surprised to hear that they are Christians or so called. And I am not surprised to hear that they are not the first to do so and point to the Bible as their source of encouragement and authority. For example, they'd say, Jacob's wives were from the same family and what's the problem? There, two sister (Leah and Rachel) married to one man so what's the issue? But hey, one should analyze this event based on the context, place and time the event took place and not on sight/feelings of the heart. Besides, it wasn't Jacob's intention nor God's that Jacob would end up with two sister in one go rather, the devil that enter Laban - the con man (dare not underestimate the power of satan in our minds - also, remember the greatest power ever, Jesus Christ our Saviour is always, with us if you believe!). Yes, it wasn't his intention but because, God was interested in Jacob and loved him - satan became keen on what he does. The same principle applies to all today - once one gets closer to God, watch what will be happen to you - temptations/attacks will be raining down on you, here and there. Check it out!!! Your only weapon is to be too strong in God and in your Faith to defeat him (Prayers, Prayers and more prayers and fasting, you need!). As you can see, it is not today that 419 atrocities began - it started long, long time ago. Well, Jacob came to serve and actually served his uncle Laban 6 or 7yrs for his beloved Rachel - Genesis Chpt. 29 - end. And, what happened at the end of his service to his uncle? Instead of giving him the woman (Rachel)he came for, and served for, satan entered Laban and made him change the original contract or agreement with Jacob forcing him to serve another 6yrs for Leah when that was not his intention. If it was you, how would you feel?? ![]() We all know he did not love Leah and when a man does not love his wife, it it really difficult to love her children, whole-heartedly e.g. see how Jacob adored Joseph and his brother Benjamin compared to the other 10 in the family. In the same manner, the devil has used these twin sister to distract this man Mr Kaunda or what from thinking right and doing what is right - he would be think his lucky stars are finally, here. Just wait!!!! I can't wait to see them in the Synagogue! Imagine the kata kata polygamy erupted in Jacob's home - Leah had all the sons whilst Rachel had difficulty conceiving and when the Lord opened her womb and gave her Joseph and his brother Benjamin with whom Rachel died in childbirth, the family jealousy led to him being sold out to the Arabs alias, God's blessing upon the chosen family. Remember, these events took place hundreds of years after the Flood and before 'Sin' i.e. immorality could be sanctioned by God as there was no 'Law' to condemn sin, people were living their lives any how and doing all sorts of immoral things e.g. murder, stealing, men sleeping with men - sodomy etc. Thus, our terrible sins appeared before God so much that it unnerved him as a result, Sodom was wiped out and afterwards, God established for us the 'TEN COMMANDMENTS' to keep us in check and in line with his 'Will' Exodus Chpt. 20. So, anyone trying to emulate such behaviour now is a condemned man/woman - there is no need for such behaviour now as it would be the devil, pushing it into you. It was ok, before the 'Law' was established because, there were very few people on earth at the time. Now, see people everywhere you look and its even difficult to feed your wife and children talk more of two wives and kids. If all is going well with this family as they want to believe, why are one of the twins at work, she should have stayed home and baked cookies thus, emulate Leah and Rachel and let the breadwinner bring all the bread home and see whether Kwashiokor wouldn't price their family. As for the consequences of in-breeding - I am too sorry for them. Goes to show that the two women and their husband are complete ignorants of modern times. Education in South Africa as a whole, is quite minimal and we wouldn't blame them at all rather, blame History. To the ladies, I say good luck with your well planned out family but we lot on Nairaland will continue to 'WATCH THIS SPACE'. Finally, can anyone who knows better, kindly en-lighten us on how well the other South African family is fairing after their 4 in 1 marriage ceremony almost 3 yrs ago. Sure Nairalanders would want to know as it's all too well to bring down these ugly stories here, but too difficult to update us on events. Please poster, update us on that topic - our ears are wide open, as we await your findings. |
Congratulations! May the Lord lead you both on this great journey in peace in Jesus Name, Amen! |
Super1759: Who is this one and where did you originate from.we all know that tinubu said the truth.am nt siding anyone self my take is if the quota given to lagos is given to abia state.definitely things can't be the same.tinubu is a cr.ook infact he is a viper while orji uzor kalu is a snake. He has no right to say anything cos he is as guilty as TA orji.moreso.d issue of gender difference is nothing here.I lost it for women after dora messed herself up dinning on d political table.where is she now? Nigerian politics is not for ladies, take it or leave itYou see, based on your comments on here - it's obvious you lack economics/mathematical skills and knowledge. How could any reasonable person suggest you give Abia State equivalent quota as Lagos State - are you crazy? Lagos is the grandmother of all Capital cities though she's no longer the default Capital city of Nigeria, she still is, remotely. Why? Because, she continues to influence issues that matters in Nigeria and that can never change whether we like it or not because, it's a job she has done for centuries that she could easily close her eyes and get it done without even lifting a finger - get it now, ok! Secondly, Nigerians would like to know how many tourists, visits Abia State in a year compared to Lagos State? It's a simple question and if you don't know, get your Tourist Board to check for you, ok! And now, I also want you to compare the population of Lagos State with Abia, when half of Abia State resides in Lagos talk-less of people from other States of Nigeria and the World at large - they have all stampeded Lagos State thus, Lagos requires more resources to operate. So, Mr, your Arithmetic does not add-up, ok! Now, your eyes are a bit opened isn't it time you ask your State embezzler what he'd done with all the money and revenues Abia people produce every year plus it's own Fed Govt allocation/quota - isn't it time? I suggest you stop this blind patriotism and stand firm for what is right! |
sambos994: Smaller font plz!!!Excuse me!! But, who invited you on my territory? Next time, you gate crashed into my territory again, trying to teach me online etiquette, you'd know whose toes you'd stepped on! Now, vamut and never rear your ugly head this end again! |
