shonepa:Don't even try to question my depth, talk less of compare it with Burna. It's kids that will think Him deep. FYI, I was referring more to His communication off- music such as during interviews and while posting on Social Media. But even when it comes to His music , I leave you to what Rolling Stones had to say: "The album would have gone off without a hitch if Burna hadn’t decided to close it out by taking a shot at the people in his home country. On “Thanks,” an admittedly club-ready Afropop number, he accuses his fellow Nigerians of being ungrateful for what he’s done for the country’s image. He admonishes his fans for calling out his various misbehaviors, which include allegations of his bodyguards shooting at a man whose wife refused his advances at a famous club in Lagos, his deplorable treatment of the fans who attend his concerts in Nigeria, and his most recent miseducating opinions on the Afrobeats genre. Even worse, he does this without offering anything to suggest that he’s grown or learned from his past. What Burna seems not to grasp is that most of the criticisms thrown his way aren’t attacks. What he continues to find difficult to understand, despite his incredible talent and staggering self-confidence, is that, if he bothered, he could come to terms with the lines between his actions and the reservations people have about him personally. Burna Boy seems unable to distinguish criticism from hate, and such surprisingly shallow reasoning threatens to leave a bitter taste at the end of this project. I Told Them… might be a triumphant sonic adventure, but its creator remains stunted, refusing to grow." |
All I have to say is be careful of Pastors and stories from your past like this that is not lining up to your relationship with God. More importantly be careful about pastors that are comfortable taking to other people's Wives and giving them prophesies about their husbands and family members. Finally, I won't tell you to be careful about Women who are more easily swayed by what their Pastor said than what their husband is saying.. Selah! |

IconicR:I think Burna Boy is more ignorant than arrogant, it's His ignorance that brings about His arrogance. He also lacks communication skills. |
wasuka14:Is Lago SE? Is FCT SE? Is Plateau SE? Is Nasaarawa SE? Is cross river SE? Keep on deceiving your self |
nairalandkachy1:Many People voted for Peter Obi and, if only Wike had not interferred in Rivers, Obi might just have won. |
justwise:My point was that there are many kids who have never paid taxes in Nigeria who are calculating all the money the can make in UK without calculating that they will be paying income tax that can be as high as 40-45% of their salary, in the UK. |
justwise:I do not have any problems with any one doing same in UK. Please go and read my comment again. |
On this same Nairaland yesterday, there was a news headline that read: "Man Spends 40years In US, 20yrs In Prison & Is Deported Back To Nigeria" So it is very possible. |
Whiteangel1234:APC can keep pointing one finger at the opposition, while four fingers are pointing to their Lord and Master who is the only one that can bring this matter to a simple close. Except that He is hiding something. Atiku is the one demanding His records, but it is Peter Obi and Obidients getting all the blame. Confused clowns. |
justwise:If you are asking me whether I pay taxes in Nigeria. Yes, I do. Do you want my tax identification number too? |
Beolly:Keep quiet, because You clearly don't know me. I don't belong to any political party. And you are the one who is triggered. |
Beolly:LPDP member Adeleke did not come into power by INEC & Yakubu's glaring and shameless shadiness and incompetence. With majority of the electorate voting against him. |
Triangles1:They concentrate on certificate because the constitution concentrates on certificate. And if someone can lie about their certificate they can lie about anything, including their ability to perform. |
TemplarLandry:😝 😂 😆 blaming opposition instead of your lord and master who went to university without going to primary and secondary school. You are very funny. |
Ballmer:Assumption is the lowest form of knowledge. Stop being foolish. |
wasuka14:Keep lying to yourself. |
Thonyb:As tempting as it is, I still refuse to call Nigeria a zoo. Not because of a few Animals in power and their followers. |
Ballmer:I am sure in your mind there are only three tribes in Nigeria. Such ignorance. |
Ballmer:What a super foolish response. |
zangaozanga:Dangote the side chick of the Nigerian government , who cannot succeed in any business unless he gets government support. Continue, your cup will soon be full. |
1Sharon:These are just a few. You can Google for more. https://amp.rfi.fr/en/europe/20221215-uk-nurses-stage-nationwide-strike-over-cost-of-living-work-conditions https://www.nursingtimes.net/news/workforce/nurses-and-junior-doctors-to-strike-on-same-day-in-london-07-07-2023/ https://www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2023/07/13/foreigners-immigration-health-surcharge-public-sector-pay/ https://amp.theguardian.com/uk-news/2023/jul/16/borderline-racist-rishi-sunak-plan-to-fund-pay-rises-by-hiking-migrant-fees |
1Sharon:Did you hear about nurses and doctors complaining about low working conditions in the UK recently? Did you read that immigrants would be taxed higher than others. Those who Japa now will be the ones bearing the economic weight of the citizenry, and they can still be kicked out. |
Some Nairaland kids who have never paid taxes in their lives will still say, you shouldn't advise them, they would rather go and see the suffering for themselves. From frying pan to fire. |
ElSudani:Which industry? When you could count the tv stations on one hand? How many people were buying video cassettes of Nigerian movies before living in bondage? We were even still listening to foreign music and yabbing Nigerian movies. Which were the first movies to go mainstream on DVDs, then on cable TV ? Certainly not the early Yoruba movies, but English speaking Nigerian movies. That was the birth of the industry called Nollywood. It was not just about making films. |
FreeStuffsNG:Many people here don't know what Nollywood is. There is a difference between making films And building an industry around it. Yorubas made theatre like films very early. But it was Alaba market and Iweka Road that made an industry out of it. |

Everything about them is always midnight. Like Tinubu's selection as winner of the elections. |
dre11:Does working 1 hour a week mean that you are gainfully employed? What kind of foolishness is this, for Gods sake? |
TajuDEENaMao:Where are those who believe that fake statistic that unemployment has dropped. This is the reality of many businesses. |
tsdarkside:I agree, but your message about employing myself, doesn't change what I said. And it doesn't apply to me. I currently employ people, and I am I in the process of hiring more. I have always believed- since my undergraduate days- that unemployment is a choice. |
tsdarkside:In the words of Bejamin Disreali, there are three kinds of lies; lies, damn lies and statistics. Please ask among your friends, family and acquaintances, look outside to the real world to know if unemployment has actually dropped or increased. I can tell you for free that many companies have shut, have laid of staff or have stopped hiring in the past three months alone, thanks to the rising cost of living. |
