There will always be jobs for doctors, nurses and engineers.
Did you hear about nurses and doctors complaining about low working conditions in the UK recently? Did you read that immigrants would be taxed higher than others. Those who Japa now will be the ones bearing the economic weight of the citizenry, and they can still be kicked out.

taxes in their lives will still say, you shouldn't advise them, they would rather go and see the suffering for themselves. From frying pan to fire.

The industry preceded Alaba, not the other way around.
Which industry? When you could count the tv stations on one hand? How many people were buying video cassettes of Nigerian movies before living in bondage? We were even still listening to foreign music and yabbing Nigerian movies.

Which were the first movies to go mainstream on DVDs, then on cable TV ? Certainly not the early Yoruba movies, but English speaking Nigerian movies. That was the birth of the industry called Nollywood. It was not just about making films.

Some people actually think that Nollywood started with 'Living In Bondage ' and 'Domitila'. Smh.

Aisha is even schooling them for free when they should be paying to recieve this kind of knowledge.

Everything about entertainment in Africa, from the first TV station to the first stadium etc, has its root in Ibadan, the heart of Yorubaland through the vision of our forebears. Thank you Aisha for the free education you are giving them.

Entertainment business is total package and it's bringing in billions into Nigeria through the Nigerian music, sports and film industry pioneered by the Yoruba and still owned by the Yoruba.

The chart bursting Nollywood films are produced in Yoruba but subtitled in English, Asake sings in Yoruba, all the Nigerian music Stars that performed at his UK show, including Tunde Baiyewu of Light House, are Nigerians and Yoruba with link to Nollywood. Most of those sound tracks in Yoruba films come from these Yoruba global Musicians.

Even Gospel musicians like Tope Alabi are connected to Nollywood while World Boxing Champion Anthony Olufemi Joshua, World Athletics record-holder Tobi Amusan, along with Odunlade Adekola, Olamide, Teni and others are Glo Ambassadors, Iya Rainbow, Lateef Adedimeji, Dele Odule from Nollywood as Airtel Ambassadors, with their faces all over local and international Nigerian entertainment contents sponsorship.

Yoruba started Nollywood when the rest of Nigeria and Africa had not even seen or watched a TV in their lives and the Yoruba still own Nollywood till date.

The Yoruba can teach others in Nigeria and Africa how they sustain this global feat and dominance of entertainment if others are humble enough to learn from the Yoruba. We are all Nigerians/Africans and we can learn from one another. Check my signature for free stuffs!
Many people here don't know what Nollywood is. There is a difference between making films
And building an industry around it.

Yorubas made theatre like films very early. But it was Alaba market and Iweka Road that made an industry out of it.

Please ask among your friends, family and acquaintances, look outside to the real world to know if unemployment has actually dropped or increased.

I can tell you for free that many companies have shut, have laid of staff or have stopped hiring in the past three months alone, thanks to the rising cost of living.

FamilyRe: The Guilt Of Locking My Husband Up For Two Days by TheGift: 8:20pm On Aug 22, 2023
Verokeena:
Good afternoon Nl family
Please pardon my epistle

My husband lost his job two years ago and ever since he has been so reluctant on getting another.. not to brag but I can say I have been the one keeping the family going ever since the job incidence (not like I ever complained) .

What I noticed about him is he now drinks and smokes and he is always hissing (obviously he is not happy and I try to always console him just to elate his Spirit)

Fast forward to last two months.. I got back from work and I was very tired.. I had to go pick the kids from school , bathe them, feed them and to make matters worst I wasn't feeling too alright .. (when I got home he (my husband) wasn't at home)

When I was done with the kids and fixing the house I was so tired I thought to myself to take a lil nap that was how I slept off (and this was around 9pm) ..

He got back around 10pm obviously drunk and smelling like a skunk.. he went straight to the kitchen. That was how the whole problem started.. first was insult.. then my phone, smashed it on the ground later my clothes he started tearing them .. saying all those things he was destroying was why I was feeling untouchable that he knows I have male friends sleeping with me..

I tried securing my items so he doesn't destroy more things that was how he pounced on me..

The next day I got him arrested he spent two days there.. but now I feel so guilty... He doesn't talk to me anymore.. I have apologized times without number

I don't just know what to do...

Nb: even while he was there I was still taking food to him
If He cannot understand that you did it to defend yourself from His drunken self, then He is not ready to be responsible.

I am not in your shoes but I think you did a reasonable thing by reporting to the police. Or What other option did you have?

RomanceRe: I Love My Colleague But She Has A Boyfriend by TheGift: 5:03pm On Aug 21, 2023
opicgif:
chief,
in everything you do, be true to yourself
don't lie to yourself

you have been friendzoned. you know it.
deep in your heart, you know she doesnt love you. she was only nice to you and you mistook it for sexual interest.

you couldn't have been close to her, talking morning and night, and didnt know that she has a guy who has met her parents
deep in your heart, you know she said that to keep you away without breaking your heart

stop making excuses for women. did they tell you they love to keep their options open? are you a woman?
she is telling "YOU", if it were another man that she likes romantically, she would go ahead and have sex with him
the problem is "YOU"

STOP!!! stop reemphazing anything. this is how you got friendzoned in the first place!

my brother, you have not moved on. you are pained. And its perfectly alright. so many guys have gone through this. its alright.
don't cut off communication with her. you are colleagues. don't deceive yourself

you are not fucking her, if not you wouldn't have been this pained. you are pained because you have invested time, effort, attention, money,, emotions on her, and YOU ARE NOT GETTING ANYTHING BACK. this is the truth.

in life, you win some, you lose some. its not bad. its not the end of the world

move on, pursue other sexual interests, have more friends, dont show her you are jealous when you see her playing with other guys in the office, join them and laugh and play. play with other girls too, in church, at work, in your neighborhood,
this is the most important: DONT SPEND ANY SINGLE RESOURCE ON HER AGAIN.

not time, effort, attention, money, don't do anything for her!!!
dont gist with her for hours at night, you are not a counsellor
dont escort her anywhere, you are not a bodyguard
dont make her laugh, cheer her up at work, you are not a clown
just do your work, smile with her, as you smile with others
laugh with her as you laugh with others
and go home alone

LIVE your life bro
live
we have all been there before

women make rules for people they don't want (i did not say love), and break rules for people they want (again, i did not say love)
Very well said, I couldn't have put it better.

Thank you for taking your time to respond to the young Man with reality. I appreciate it.
RomanceRe: I Love My Colleague But She Has A Boyfriend by TheGift: 4:56pm On Aug 21, 2023
I don't like to give relationship advice like go or no go.

But between the fact that she has a boyfriend (not husband) and the fact that she is your colleague (which may be even worse) I think you should not go.

Except maybe you think She is THE ONE and you want to marry Her, as in life not sex partner. Still don't chase too hard. She needs to confirm you are the one too.

Don't start what you can't finish
FamilyRe: I Am So Worried About My 5-year Old Son by TheGift:
Sorry, but I thought it was even a
More serious issue.

There is nothing wrong with your Son. Don't go and start planting negative vibrations in Him about His intelligence.

Don't. Judge His intelligence based on some formal standard of education that has been shown in some cases to make people stupid in relation to their real talent.

Five years old is to small for him to be put under that kind of pleasure. Focus on teaching Him things like empathy, resilience, self confidence, self love, friendship and never giving up.

In countries like Norway, kids don't even start school till about the age of 7 and they still have one of the best educational systems in the world, that carries every kid along.

I have a friend who just posted today that her son got all A's in the last three terms, meanwhile he couldn't speak when he was four years old.

Finally, please, please and please STOP COMPARING your kids with other kids.

Good luck!

This woman had first-hand experience in hell because of these things
Maybe some God told you, but i doubt that it is the same God that placed Man naked in a garden, that will now be concerned about type and style of dressing.

This is what happens when we don't read our Bible but mix our cultural practices, with religion. There was nothing like trouser when the Bible was written. The only thing the Bible speaks to when it comes to adornment. is decency, modesty and propriety 1 Tim 2:9
Christianity EtcRe: 3 Sweet Things That Keep Sending Many Men To Their Early Graves by TheGift: 12:59pm On Aug 20, 2023
Thank you for this very powerful and timely message.

These three things are what John summarized in 1 John 2:16 when He spoke of "the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life"

They are the same things the devil used to tempt jesus,
“If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread" - Lust of the flesh
“All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.”- Lust of the Eyes
“If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written:He shall give His angels charge over you,’
and, ‘In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’ (Jesus knew it wasnt beyond God or Him, but He wasnt going to tempt God with a miraculous and spectacular display of power:- The Pride of Life

If i will add a fourth sweet thing that sends Men to an early grave, it is marrying a Woman that is easily moved by these three things.

May the good Lord help us to be truly discipled and disciplined Men. Amen.

If the Judiciary eventually sacks PBAT which is not likely to happen Atiku will be handed the mandate, my surprise is why are the 3rd position ppl crying over this matter grin . Because if the 1st position is disqualified the 2nd will be technically installed and not the 3rd and Obi's petition to the tribunal is not that he wins the election but to fault the process. Atiku camp should be the ones crying this hard undecided
First of all it is not about Atiku or Obi as it is whoever getting there based on the will of the people and not by criminality.

Secondly , I keep hearing this logical sounding but invalid questioning of how someone who is 3rd can claim to be or become 1st.

First of all, The petition at the tribunal is challenging the very basis upon which your 1st, 2nd & 3rd were arrived at. I don't know why you struggle to understand this.

Furthermore, it's simple primary school
Maths:

If A=13 points , B= 12 points and C= 11 points

All C needs to do is prove that A stole just 1 of His points and they will all have 12 points. Therefore, re-run.

If C can prove that A stole just 2 of His points, he becomes the winner.

Do you understand now, because if you don't , I doubt you ever will.

The Judiciary should be allowed to do their job. This online bullying won't work.
First of all, it is not online bullying.

Secondly you need to ask your self first, why there is such a low level of trust in government.

Thirdly you need to ask yourself how all eyes on the judiciary is different from the phrase the judiciary is the last hope of the common Man.

Fourthly , is it al lie that all eyes are on the judiciary?

Fifthly, if the judiciary is able to hold people to account and have the final say, should they not be held to account by the people whom they are expected to protect?

Sixthly, did the Judiciary complain that they were being blackmailed? Do you think they are kids? Do you know the kind of cases they have handled before getting to that position?

Seventhly, if why is the acting government so quick to jump and defend the judiciary, that even they are supposed to be checking and balancing if they are not so bothered by people stating an undeniable fact that #AllEyesOnTheJudiciary?

You put money on Anthony Joshua to win a fight, and two weeks to the fight, Joshua is fatter than you, and you actually believe Joshua is going to fight. Immediately the Kaduna warlord learnt of the outcome he quickly manufactured his exit. Guyman decided it is better to live and fight another day, than make this the mountain to die on.
Those people that keep sayin they want to see how 6M is higher than 8m and how someone who came 3rd can claim that they came first. Are just showing that they either don't understand the issues in contention and/or they don't understand mathematics.
