voguepayonline:Look...stop trying to promote your Ponzi scheme here Many people suffered under MMM...you want them to suffer under Apex.... Dobule the investment in one week ? Are you a magician? What are you investing the money in? Stocks, industries? Mavrodi is dead. Stop trying to ressurect him. |
Oma307:There is a law...sort of...that has been ignored since we returned to democracy in 1999. |
nattyGENT:So signing pact with UAE= ISLAMIZATION? The same UAE that hundreds of thousands of Nigerians do business with year in,year out. The same UAE that has chruches all over the place (expats mostly). The same UAE that has a large expat population of Nonmuslims? The same UAE that one of my CHristian friends did honeymoon in some years ago? Abeg...talk better.... And by the way, how is Buhari going to islamize Nigeria, assuming he wins ? Me, I don't want the guy to win, (and i dont want Atiku either)...and I am aware of all his pro-sharia comments...but how is he going to Islamize Nigeria without provoking a civil war that would cost the North more than the South? Would all those big Northern businessmen with heavy investments in the South...especially those in oil and industry allow a Islamist Buahri to mess up their investments in the SOuth? Or the middle belt? Are Nigerian christians so weak in their faith....that all it takes is one supposedly Islamist leader to make us so scared, we are praying for the suuccess of a guy Atiku...who, in 2015 helped install the same so called Islamist? Guy it is ok to not like Bubu's polices, and to be critical of the man himself. It is ok to be angry with those who want to impose ther beleifs on others....but when you start indulging in outright hatred and falsehood....you better watch out before, like Cain,it consumes you. |
NLC is not going to get their 30000 minnimum wage....because the government cannot afford it. Oil yesterday was $62 per barrel. Yes, it is $2 dollars above the minimum set for budget...but it is still far less than our 2017 breakeven price of $140 per barrel. The breakeven price of oil is the price we need oil to be to have enough revenue to fund a budget sans borrowing, sans deficit. Since Bubu took over, oil has never been above $75 on average. So, essentially, we are earning at least $70 less than we need per barrel of oil in revenue. And NLC now wants a salary increase. The only way NLC gets an increase is either 1.Government cuts things like fuel subsidy, subsidy for educaiton, ...meaning that fees go up,and petrol retails for N250 per liter and above. 2.Government takes a loan to keep essential services running...while it redierects money to pay the wage from other ministries. 3.Yes, they need to cut their allowances. Yes, N1 trillion is a lot of money to spend on our National Assembly...and we need to cut it. But that means that things like constituency projects, etc as well as jobs (senators and reps employ people too) would have to be cut...and I doubt the money would be enough. Yes, Buhari should have diversified. The problem is, 1.Agriculture has not earned enough cash for us since the early 1980's. To rebuild our capacity in agriculture is going to take time...plus we have very very stiff competition (The South East used to be world leaders in palm oil. Now ...it is Malaysia and Indonesia. Can the SE rebuild its capacity to what it was in the 1960's). 2.Mining too...needs a lot of regulation. There is so much illegality there that cleaning up the sector is going to take years. The thing is, e no go easy to pay this minimum wage. I hear people shouting Governemt is corrupt...and yes, they are right. The current government is not exempt from corruption. But even if we removed corruption....giving everyone an increase is not going to help. Add the fact that the increase is for government workers only. Meaning..the private sector is going to come under pressure to match the public sector...increasing costs for a sector that is already finding it hard in Nigeria.Meaning...long term..investments get pulled out...jobs get lost. So,let's face facts Nigeria...this country is not rich...and we need to make the hard choices to adjust to that fact. If NLC expects govt to fund a salary raise with oil prices that are too low to fund it...then they better get ready for more loans, or cuts elsewhere. Either Nigeria takes the hard road to industrial development, or we keep on with our silly sharing money economics that we have been doing since 1960. ...which is why we are still underdeveloped. I don talk my own. |
Loydwilliam:In 2015...you people told us Buhari would islamize Nigeria... He won. Four years later...Nigeria has not been islamized. Is he going to Islamize Nigeria...when he did not do the job in his first four years....after you people said he would. And why are you voting for Atiku. Isn't Atiku not the same Muslim guy as Buhari ? Same tribe even. Stop trying to use this Islamic scare threat. If you are so scared of being islamized under Buhari...maybe your religious faith is not strong enough to withstand pressure. And no, Buhari is no better for Nigeria. But that is because he has no idea on how to make Nigeria stronger economically. And neither does Atilku. All they know is how to share money. Like most Christians and Muslims in this country. Time we grew up. |
Kingbookies:I think this answers the question regarding trustworthiness. Good evening to you too, sir. |
UltimatePrime:Please, stop lying. |
Kingbookies:Is your father among the subscribers? |
MMM was the biggest one. |
Ok That is the problem we have in Nigeria. We cannot probe the corruption of Obasanjo because some of those people involved are in Bubu govt. Abeg, why can't we probe them all. Whether Obasanjo or Buhari is disgraced, I am tired of people stealing our money! |
JasonScolari:Amen But come, no only two women wey dey take hold of am, so Scripture has not yet been fulfilled here. We need five more for the fulfillment |
born2reign001:Ah, am sure the ladies thought that it was truly the first.... |
anuma1:Bros, be thankful you are living in a democracy. Because there are many of us who remember the days.when things like. Parties, campaigning and elections were pipe dreams, or stuff that happened in other countries. |
Apine:Mavrodi is gone...and gone to his grave Hmm..haa...gone to his grave. Stop trying to ressurect him by style. |
Good points But Atiku could have shown up, at least for optics sake. So as to make APC look bad, and himself look good. Even if the other candidates bash him, at least he could have shown Nigerians that he is ready for anyone and anything. I followed the debate online. YouTube. Many Atikulators and neutrals were sorely dissapointed. |
Simple fact, only a United opposition wins elections A disunited opposition loses them |
BIAFRONIGERIAN:I am responding to the defence that the person I orginally quoted was saying...that Atiku would have been attacked by the other debaters. Plus...it isn't about attacking Buhari...it is about showing Nigerians why he is superior to the other oppositions....and also why he is fearless enough to appear while Bubu chickened out so to speak. Instead he chickened out as well...and his excuse was lame. A lot of people were dissapointed last night. And so was i...even though I don;t support APC or PDP...at least make them come respect us Nigerians to give us their ideas, and put them up for scrutiny. And what happened last night...only convinces me that Nigeria is being run by lack of ideas...from both main parties...And if you can't see that...be prepared to be dissapointed...whoever among APC or PDP wins...because nothing is going to change. Good afternoon. |
Deepthoughts:Bros, I watched the debate on Channels. A lot of people were angry and dissapointed that both Buhari and Atiku did nto show. It showed on the chat.. APC already looks bad....we know that. But Atiku not showing also makes PDP too look bad as well. You can vote for Atiku....but the fact is ,last night, a lot of people were angry and dissapointed in your candidate. |
excel101:Okay...so you PDP people have admitted that Atiku is just as corrupt as APC... And you want us to replace corrupt APC with corrupt PDP... Okay now..... If Atiku cannot withstand the heat of small candidates like Durotoye,Moghalu and Ezekwesili...then why is he running for President? And why is Bubu too not available as well? You better consider other parties ....because APC and PDP have not got it. |
Makito015:So you people are now in essence saying that Atiku does not have the intellect to stand up against the dwarves? Or withstand their attacks? Maybe he does not have the intellect to run this country. Just like Bubu. |
berrystunn:The three other people...so that he can show that PDP ideas are superior to the rest of the opposition.... And so that he can show up Bubu and APC for being scaredy cats for not turning up...making Bubu look bad and himself look good. (to use an americanisim). |
So basically, Kperoggi is saying this... The presidential debate is designed to be a match--or, if you like, a push and pull-- between the defending champion, i.e., Buhari, and contenders to the title he holds, i.e., Atiku, Moghalu, Madam Oby, Sowore, and others. If the defending champion declines to thrown his hat into the ring, the entire match becomes pointlessly self-injurious to the challengers. In other words, it would have been a fatal strategic and tactical error for Atiku to partake in a potentially bruising contest with other challengers while the defending championing sits pretty somewhere unhurt. The problem with this argument is that it can also be used against Atiku, and for that matter Buhari. Are you saying that both Atiku and Buhari are so weak that they are afraid of being bruised by three other so-called dwarfs? I mean, has Farooq finally and essentially stated that both Atiku and Bubu cannot take part in a debate on the running of Nigeria because they are so intellectually berefit compared to Moghalu, Sowore,etc... Abeg...Atiku should have shown face, and defeated the three dwarves. Ditto Buhari. Am sure they are not as dull as Kperoggi is presenting them to be. |
buharitill2023:He should still have come. |
Not sure what I think about this... Personally, this is just a rehash of an old idea of Awolowo's. I think regarding agriculture...any state should focus on educating farmers on cost effective ways to improve production ,plus giving more financial aids/incentives for large scale commercial farming. |
Sincinnati:Aregbe has left Government house a while ago.... Plus the settlements would be owned by the State. |
It's all very nice, but where were he and Atiku tonight? Nigeria needs to have an idea of what both men have in store for you and me, and they blew it. |
So why is he not on the podium. Where is he and Buhari? Where are they? |
Atiku and Buhari .....haba. |
uboma:So why could he not come in and show his stuff? |
it is TIME! |
Moghalu is the MAN! |
LiveByNight:Not a Bubu or Atiku supporter.... But i know that Nairaland does not represent all Nigeria. |
