So, if a pastor lies, we are expected to keep quiet eh? God is still moving hey?

No wonder Nigerian Christians suffer, and God does not hear us...tolerating sin in the house.

Deuteronomy 18 vs 22, KJV

When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.

Apostle Suleiman has spoken presumptously. And once again, God is being mocked by the unbeleivers.

The bullet didn't break her rib. But the rubber pipe did. I never knew rubber could break bones.

If delay was the cause of her death, why is it that only the hospital was blamed for that? How long did it take after the shooting for those with her to get over the confusion and even think of taking her to the hospital? Or is the hospital right beside the scene of the shooting?

The hospital's video evidence clearly showed that the lady was promptly attended to. But unfortunately we always find someone to blame for anything that happens. If the family wants someone to blame at all cost, I think they should question why their daughter was out at around 3am and why they didn't stop when instructed to by the policeman.
Good points, excpet for that 'she was out at 3 pm'.

Personally, as a rule, I always try to be home by 7pm latest, but there are times in my life, (and not due to party, the latest I have come from a party is 10pm)...I have been late...sometimes as late as 1.30 am (and was even stopped at a police checkpoint then!).

There is nothing wrong with having some fun late in the night. Of course....one must be secuirty conscious(here I will agree with you somewhat about her being late)...BUT....she did not deserve to die because of that.

Personally, I think we need to look at the way we train our police again. Plus...there are methods a policeman can stop a car at night...or maybe even note the car number and do something...like the UK's points system for car licencees (enough points suspension of licence)...but that involves good records systems, plus good facilities too.

“Based on the autopsy, the bullet was not supposed to kill her. In fact, all her organs were intact. Even her lung that was brushed by the bullet was not shattered. It was the blood that was clotting from the bullet injury that killed her.
I am sorry, but this does not mean anything.

1.That organs were intact does not mean that the bullet did not hit anything.

2.The bullet did hit something...how does the lady explain the bleeding.?

3.A bullet can miss various organs, and hit a major blood vessel....which is what happened...and (I have not seen the autopsy report, but I am sure that is what happened)...a major vessel was hit...leading to bleeding....leading to death

4.Blood clotting...is actually a means by which the body stops bleeding. Not a means by which someone can die.

5.The pipe inserted was i THINK...put in there to releive bleeding into the pleural space surrounding the lung...which means that there was some bleeding there caused by the bullet.

6.I wonder why we are not seeing the ACTUAL autopsy report...instead of hearing the family's interpretation of the report.

7.Anyway...let investigations continue. If wrong was done, let it be punished. If nothing worng was done...then let villificaiton be stopped.

That's all you've been yammering about. To paraphrase you: "Nigerians don't pay high taxes, therefore people heading institutions in the country should 'flex' until the people are ready to pay high taxes" If you cannot allude this as what you've been commenting all along then forgive me for not helping your comprehension skills.

From your comments, I can you almost deduce that you do not own or run any legitimate business in Nigeria to talk about taxes and levies and how much more you would like the government to increase them.

Is it high taxes that make over 75% of Nigerian annual budget to be recurrent expenditure and the national assembly consuming as much as 30%?

How much has Nigeria accrued from oil trade over the years and what exactly is the one sector or public institution thing you can lay a finger on that is efficient?

I read earlier you attributed private investment (GSM) to the government. Bloody shame on you! What next, Olamide is successful because of Nigerian government and policies?

There is no accountability and you are talking about taxes. Have you asked if all states have been able to pay the N18,000 minimum wage but you want increased taxes, from whom if I may ask?

Is it insufficient tax rates, that cause politicians to abscond with money for projects which you clearly think is the main reason the airport has been in that condition since 2012?

Or would you pretend not to be aware that all 'white elephant projects' that have been investigated revealed that the contract sums were not only over-inflated but the funds were fully disbursed.

I don't know if you are trolling, if so then you got me, but I hope there's just a little bit of conscience left in you and that is what I try to reach, even though you may be feeding fat off these sham projects and government officials' stealing.
Then hold your leaders to account.

Also, you pay higher taxes, you have higher incentive to hold leaders to account

We are no longer earning enough from oil. Even with restructuring.

Don't deceive yourself, the prices of SIM cards and tariffs came down because of competitions. I remember mtn telling us that they couldn't charge at per second billing until glo came with per second charge. DSTV subscription had been at the high side since. How many years now in Nigeria? Has their charge come down? Why? Because there's no competition.
And because facilities improved.

GSM facilities were built from scratch. Without govt assistance whatsoever.

It's very convenient for you to blame the victims ehn undecided So because Nigerians are not paying enough, the people in charge of all the institutions you mentioned should just cart away the money for themselves. I like your reasoning.
We paid high prices for GSM back in the day, and they took our money and used it to expand and improve their facilities and eventually bring down prices.

Also, why don't you hold your leaders accountable? Or vote for leaders you can hold accountable?

I didn't argue with you about the oil income and our population. The little we've got so far had been looted and still being looted by the few privileged individuals, it wasn't used for developments. It has never benefited the masses in any way. That's my point.

If we're going to invest in agriculture, is it not the oil money that will be used? Now, let them budget 2 trillion naira for agricultural revolution in 2019 budget. You will be surprised to know 95% of the budgeted money will be released while implementation will not surpass 5%.
Our income is low from civil servants to private organisations to artisans to traders, so should expect the purchasing power of people to be low and prices of goods and services to be equally low. That's Economics 101 for you.
The reason why they loot is because most Nigerians are too lazy to hold them to account, or only hold the chap to account if he is from the wrong tribe.

Plus, many Nigerians think development equals more money.

If GSM companies followed your logic regarding prices, the whole GSM revolution won't have happened. Once upon a time SIM was very expensive. But thanks to the high amounts of money raked in from selling Sims At 10000naira, GSM companies had the cash to expand and upgrade facilities. And to eventually bring down prices. And to think some people wanted govt to make them charge lower back then

Have you given a thought that an agreement would have been signed and you ask the repatriating country use 300 million wholly to lift the power sector?

Apart from Abuja airport, and Kaduna airport which got hurridely renovated ....the NYSC camps, and airports and roads in the North are not of good quality....

Plus, Stella renovated all the airports especially the ones in the South.

NYSC orientation camps are not necessarily better up North.

The funny thing is how our politicians travel and see the standard and beauty of life in developed countries yet return to see these craps here yet feel little or no concern at all. Seriously, it baffles me.

Like, they don't just give a damn at all. I think something is wrong with our politicians, I mean like mental issue or so. They are sick upstairs!
And in developed countries...they pay heavy taxes to keep it that way.

If our politicians introduced the tax rates that exist in the developed world into Nigeria...there would be protests on the street.

Developed countries have economies that produce things the world needs. Not like Nigeria that produces oil and agric produce for export, and then uses the revenues to import and import and import....and keep on importing

Then we complain when as a result of the importing, we don't have jobs...because we import the stuff we should be making.

This is Nigeria, you can only survive here when you assume to be mad.

How can you use this shrine as an airport?

How can you stay in a country without electricity for months and still pay bills?

How can you stay in a country with no functioning system?

How can you stay in a country with zero infrastructure?

How can you stay in a country where your life is worth less than cows?

How can one condone and still live in a messed up shithole like Nigeria?

It can only happen when you throw away your sanity and become temporary mad, then you will survive.

Welcome to Nigeria where everyone is a part time mad person...

It's really sad..
Yes, we know. We can all recite this poem off head.

But then, you Nigerians go and vote for a party that messed us up for 16 years....or the ruling party that has no idea to bring in the needed change to make things better.

And bills? You people insist on paying less than $5 for light monthly...and you expect 24 hours light...when you should be paying 5 times that? And you expect DISCOS and GENCOS to suddenly have the cash to be able to pay for gas?

You want good universites...and you insist on paying N50000 fees for N1 million naira education?

You insist on paying N97 for fuel that should at least cost N250 per liter...and you wonder why there are scarcity (and you blame govrement...for the worng reasons).

You know that there is a lot of infrastructure in a lot of countries...because people pay heavily in taxes and bills. Not the cheap thing we pay for in Nigeria.

Oil money cannot feed all of us. Neither can restructuring...because the prices of agric and other commodities rise and fall like oilprice. We need to invest in industrial development, and making things that the world needs...not in importing stuff and wasting our money on useless subsides...that prevent job creation, and leave millions unemployed.

So,we call on the Chinese government to fix the airport...and it looks beautiful..

then what?

The problem I have with Nigerians is that they want people to do things for them. Nigerians won't vote for sensible people to run things. They insist on paying small taxes, or N20 for something that costs N20000 naira. They somehow think that the funds for maintenance and construction will come from the sky...and so on.

The truth is, if we want beautiful airports in all our cities, we have to be prepared to vote for the right kind of people..not bring back a party that messed us up for 16 years (and pretended to fix the Port Harcourt airport...) or bring back an elderly general that really needs to be retired...or even vote for 'the young men and women'...but people who are prepared to work.

And we must be ready to pay proper taxes. And pay proper bills.Yes, it would be expensive. Yes, what have they done with the money they spent before? But you cannot buy a house for N200million, and be prepared to only spend N50000 annually for maintenance. High quality means high maintenance costs.
