Sad...there is discipline, and there is torture. |
Well 1We fix the railways 2.We stop the Sahara from encroaching 3.We enforce ranching 4.Better land management practice 5.Better border control 6.Law enforcement does its job. |
Alezy:Yeah, yeah...have got the memo... Meanwhile...Northerners and Southerners are dying on the field against a dangerous enemy. I hail their efforts, and thank them. |
DrGoodman:Lots of Northerners and Southerners have died protecting this country from Boko. Cut the bigotry out please. |
Cult at 14-16? And after, all them cultists will be struggling in life 20 years from now...... |
ItsMeAboki:Got a source for that? (I'm serious). Doesn't make this round of violence right. If the Fulani feel aggrieved...report to the police. Don;t take the law into your hands. Same for the other guys. |
OK darling, you've had your 15 minutes of fame, now go and get a real job. In thrity years, when those things begin to sag...na then you go know that vanity upon vanity= vanity.... |
otipoju:Word. It is supposed to be the same in Nigeria...but sigh.... |
Juliusmalema: ![]() You really don't want to face the facts, don't you. OK....here is INEC result sheet.... Come, now, it isn't damaging to you to admit you were wrong. That is life. I have been corrected on this forum myself many times, and all that got damaged was my pride. One more thing, I don't know why you don't like Middle Belters. But in this case, they did vote for your candidate. So, why the hate? They are not Hausas. Me, I am not inclined to hate people, because my hating them means that I have allowed them to have power over me. Better wake up. This life is too insignificant. |
Celestyn8213:Life must go on..... I work in a hospital. In one ward, someone is dying from an illness, while in the labour ward, babies are being born. That's life. |
Live healthy, eat healthy, and you may live long and well. |
silastemplar:One of the big problems with democracy is that everything is fair game. So,for example, government official loses his temper over a trivial matter......the ruling party is a fraud. In Nigeria, this manifests as politicising even the dead. When GEJ was in power....lots of his opponents used the boko and even the cattle herder issues (yes they happened back then, and even long before GEJ or Bubu thought about Aso Villa)...to make the(GEJ) government look bad. Same thing is happening now with Buhari....the herdsmen crisis and even Boko Haram are used as ways of making him look bad And government supporters give as good as they get (see how GEJites blamed Buhari for being the head of Boko Haram, and for the Chibok 'scam', while Buharists blamed GEJ supporters for deliberately stoking up the killings to make their man look bad). Add the fact that people are scared, plus decades of bad blood, plus the fact that Nigerians are worried that the sharing of the kudi wont get to them...and you have an anarchic situation developing. Maybe we should have not gone back to democratic rule....but remaining under Army rule, or one man dictatroship won't solve the underlying problems...and that is the failure of governance at the local, rural level, the failure of strategic infrastructure like railways, and the effect of climate change. (Modified: I still beleive that democracy is far better than any form of governance, and that if people had done their jobs all these years, Nigeria would have been much better.) |
Juliusmalema:2015 result for Plateau Buhari: 429,140 Jonathan: 549,615 Jonathan won Plateau. Results via Google. |
kolaish:The same things happened under PDP, they happen under APC...because over the years, government agencies refused to do their work...back when these disputes were isolated things. Add the collapse of infrastructure likerailways, the overgrowing population and the effect of climate change...and you see the problem. Thing is, we should expect the people in Aso villa and the people in the villages and the herdsmen community to do their jobs...not to play with fire. |
soberdrunk:Bad public water supply, simple. |
Juliusmalema:PDP won in Plateau at the presidential level in 2015... either you beleive it or you don't. So, stop pretneding they didn't |
zombieHUNTER:Plateau has been in crisis long before Bubu took over. The problem has plenty to do with land crisis, the failure of the railways (which offered alternative to transport cattle) and the fact that wandering around with your cows no longer works. Am all for voting out APC....but PDP had no answer to the same crisis when they were in power. And they have no answer now. |
slimfit1: ![]() As it ended in Zamfara and Borno..... |
Juliusmalema:Plateau voted for PDP in the last presidential election....by a margin of over 100000 votes. It was in the election for governor that APC won...largely because PDP was disorganised at the local level, and also largely because the APC candidiate was from a part of Plateau that had never produced a governor before. And don't be a bigot. |
Hmmm In Nigeria every car owner is supposed to have third party insurance. So that in case an accident like this happens, you exchange your insurance information with the other party and the insurance company pays up for the mess (Ideal example... there was a three way colision in a certain American city involving Brad Pitt the actor. All three men incolved, got out of their cars, exchanged insurance infromation, and that was that). In Nigeria, 1. Most car owners don't carry insurance 2.Most car owners don't expect sufficeint payout from the insurance company So, an anarchic situation, where might is right results. |
skitozblog:In 2002...many French players were playing in European top teams...and naturally were exhausted from too much footy.(ok..na excuse...but some merit in it ). Plus some key players were injured.Italy 2010....they had lost several of their 2006 players to retirement...and the new guys were not up to sctatch. Spain..same thing in 2014. Now let'sgo back Germany 1990 winners, 1994...quarterfinals. Argentina 1986 winners, 1990...second place. Italy 1982 winners...1986...second round. Argentina 1978 winners, 1982 second round (they took Maradona out. Nuff said) W.Germany 1974 winners, semis 1978. Brazil 1970 winners, semis 1974. England 1966 winners, 1970 quarter finals. Brazil 1962 winners, 1966 first round (they took out Pele, nuff said). Brazil1958 winners, 1962 winners.... |
nicetime:In 2002, the Belgians were the worst team in Europe. They completely were a nonentity in the world cup, and they perfromed awfully when they hosted the Euro 2000 (with the Dutch). The Belgian FA sat down and thought about how to improve their football...and the answer was simple 1.Teach kids how to play a passing game 2.Ensure that every youth coach gets a UEFA B licence. Nowadays, Belgium is a force to be reckoned with. They reached the quarters of the 2014 WC, and have won both their games in this world cup. Why this story....Because in Africa, we are not interested in developing our football...we just want to win tournaments. That's not how it works. Because we want to win, we go and do things like overaged players, players lying about their age at youth level...and at the same time we refuse to invest in local clubs, local facilities. We even don't invest in the training of youth coaches. FIFA...Havelange and Blatter were both corrupt. But these two men tried their best for Africa. Havelange tried with the U17 and U21 cups...which we messed up by sending overaged players , expecially in the 1980's. Blatter even released some of FIFA's largesse for the Goal project...which was chopped by many African FA chaps...and even some non-Africans. (Jack Warner of T and t infamously used his to build some 'facilities' that had nothing to do with footballers...). We better change our mentality. Me, I hope we lose to Argentina and go out. Not because I am a bad Nigerian ,but because if we win, and we reach the semis...we will keep on thinking that everything is ok. When it isn't. An African team can win the World Cup...but it starts with changing our attitude. Developing football..instead of trying to win. |
Organism000:Any issues Mugabe is facing were selfinflicted... 1.You allow your wife to move against a vice president who was not only one of your main guys in the millitary, but STILL has connections to the high ranking Army rank and file...of COURSE...selfpreservation strikes. 2.40 years in power, and your economy is still dependent on exporting stuff whose prices you cannot control. Meanwhile....China, Japan and Korea woke up ages ago...and based their economies on innovation and industries. As one African king some 300 years ago said...he who makes the gunpowder wins the war. (And Zim has or had a very good education system). 3.Is Mugabe the only one? Must we be dependent on one leader.? |
emeijeh: ![]() Planta was a good margarine brand...wonder why they stopped making it in Nigeria? Blue band doesn't even taste like Blue band these days.... Before the kids there was.. With that good rich taste, rich creamy planta with that slight buttery taste for you! |
Drienzia: zinizta:So, all of us saying that wrong is worng are hypocrites eh? Look chums, the yahoo guy is despicable. Yes , he should not have been killed....but he is still a bad person who has stolen other people's money via deception. I know no one is perfect, but the fact that we are not perfect doesnot mean we should keep quiet when wrong is done. Or maybe I should come and defraud you of your money....hope you would forgive me, since nobody is perfect, and since those who would call me a bad guy are just doing so to feel holy. Don't justify bad things. We are suffering in this country because people for decades have been justifying bad things. |
PurplePatch:That's the sad truth about the story...the murder victim probabaly would have been arrested by EFCC within a few years, if it had not been for this happening. |
zombieHUNTER:Propaganda for what exactly? Nigeria police may be very backward, but that does not mean they don't get it right sometimes. Propaganda for what? To get Buhari back into Aso Rock.? Like Police was not solving crime before Bubu thought about Aso villa. To make everyone forget that there are still bad eggs in the force? Yeah, right. SARS did not kill that guy and his girl. A group of jealous parasities did. (And before you start, I have treated victims of SARS, so I know how far). |
OK, let us hope that APC has an agenda for 2019 which involves diversification of the economy. Apart from just crowning you know who. |
Legitimate money better pass illegitimate money |
OK, 2 nil. Argentina here we come |
OK. We scored. One more |
mannyU:We don't have a Good good enough structure. (Yes, we won two U17 trophies in the last 6 years, but then, the guys go back to their backward clubs) |
