I am looking at renewal cost.

Someone said its best you buy 2 names $300 each=$600 & pay renewal fee of $16($8 each)

Than register 75names for $600($8 each) and have renewal fee of $600.(75 × $8 )

I support this. Thats why I reduce the registrations I do & lean more on SH registration.

I plan to focus on backordering names & closeouts now. You more quality names this way, though more pricey

My decision for SH to register only, is costing me.

I submitted Zo bel le(unregistered), it was accepted

Weeks later,

I submitted Ho bel le(unregistered), it was rejected

Few days Later Ho bel le is a fully developed site.

As I always say, have a plan & stick to it but make room for tweaking.

I know i have lost names this way.

Also, a bit of advice if you want your names to be accepted more.
Study the marketplace very well, know the popular keywords, become familiar with the words.
Whenever u face high rejection, sit back and give it some time b4 u continue to submit.
First 2 weeks of May i had 19names accepted, last 2 weeks i had only 1, maybe due to a very slow review many of us faced but still i had high rejection, i sit back for a week, relaxed and 1st June i continued submitting. I now have 8 names accepted in 2 days and counting.
So Always give them sometime, ignore them for sometime if you feel the rejection is from their end. Improve yourself if you feel it's from ur end.

I have moved from 15limits a day to 3limits a day.

Dont think if your limits increase it will stay there of your rejection rate is increasing.

Follow his advice, if the rejections are becoming too much. take a chill, read more, refresh & fire again

"I am ok with both options" has a higher acceptance rate. If they accept & the name but dont want to take the risk for investing in the name based on metrics known to them only, they will shift the risk to you but if you had choosen SH to register the name only and they dont want to take the risk. Then its outright rejection

Take these words and search through their marketplace notice the word placement. keyword ending or begining (which is more)

Then coin your words or search through ED using the end with or start with(My book covers this clearly)

Some of my names on SH with these keywords are MedyFit, FitRatio, FitnessNitro (I have other Gym keyword which is in the same category with Fitness on SH)

Most of the good name combination are taken and can only be gotten through auctions, closeout and marketplaces BUT you can still coin or find on ED

NB. According to domaintools this domain is over 11yrs old and has dropped only twice since then.

If he checks WHOIS will he see 11yrs?

The answer will tell you the year of the domain or ask him to clarify further

what does it mean for your domain name to be shortlisted by potential buyers on SH?

I have one abandoned domain name there and i have not logged in there for long while. So minutes ago, I check and noticed 2 things

1: The domain name had received enough votes to be searchable and with this, I discovered that the views on the domain name had increased.

2. In the Shortlists column, I see 4. Initially, I thought it was the number of domains I have listed but I know it is just one domain name that I have there and therefore that is not possible. So, curiously, i hovered my mouse point on the small "i" icon in the "Total Shortlists" column and right there I found that it means the number of times potential buyers shortlisted the domain name...

Question: What does it mean for a potential buyer to shortlist your domain name? Any Squad Help expert here?

You have been answered. Truth is you don't need those stats. Names have sold that had no shortlist, while some have 200 shortlist yet to be sold.

It's like going on jumia to shop for shoes, you add to your cart anyone that catches your fancy, thats shortlisting

You will then look at your cart & have a second look, ask friends to check them out & finally make a choice. That's a sale

You can also do the above because you are just window shopping

You can also make final choice but don't go ahead to buy or you to set a target to save money to buy it in 6months

SH has also said that "Strong Buyer Interest" is much more important than the number of shortlist

Yes in a way, it depends on what the contest holder wants, sometime they specify invented or one word, then other times 2 words.

When they specify they want one word, most creatives will point it out to them that, one word are expensive and unavailable so they are left with blended or invented.

You should participate in contests. I dont have that time to sit & rack my head for names. I prefer to go thru ED.

Pitching names to companies should be names they can upgrade to, not downgrade to

Glitter is also defined as

In my opinion, I dont see how this word flows well with health. For compound words to be good, there has to ne meaning, flow & synergy

HealthGlitter.com has no meaning, no flow(plural) has flow kinda

This appraisal does not mean the name cannot sell o. One enduser now might just like it.

There are always exception to rules, domaining is filled with it BUT we teach & advocate you stick to the rules because you can replicate the results of the rules over & over.

You cant replicate exceptions, because it was a one or two or three off thing.

I cannot begin to go into the basics for you right now. Your need right now is not to know how to outbound but for you to know how to get the right name.

Firstly, HealthGlitters.com would have been the best combo(I talked about word combination, singular/plural words in my new book)

secondly & most importantly, Health is a health niche keyword

Glitter is a fashion niche keyword(when I hear the word glitter, what comes to my mind is shiny, to shine)

Please how do you combine a health & fashion word? does it make sense?

I am not sellfish to shield info that there is Geodomain just because I want to sell my books on brandables. They should be exposed to that & make the decision on which to focus on.
