I have a family of 7 that would like to visit canada for niece high school convocation in June. Need help with documents to add to the application and sample of letter to get from school.

thanks
Absolutely sorry to rain on your parade but I highly doubt the visa would be granted. Family of 7 for niece's graduation?
They better have very very strong home ties (like maybe leaving one kidney each in Nigeria) 'cos I don't want to tell you what would be going on in the mind of a VO given the recent trends with Nigerian families visiting Canada.

Where did you see Montreal to Toronto for $187? Plus his luggage, seat and all, he should be looking at more than $300, and that's probably for a low-cost airline.
Una don start. Did you try checking the Air Canada app before quoting me because I clearly mentioned it in my other post?

Please I need urgent advice from seniors who got their driving extract from Nigeria.
I would like to know if anyone successfully got theirs by applying through the Online portal and paying the 50k naira stated therein.

Or if the best and guaranteed way is to go through FRSC official?

I discussed with an FRSC official, he billed me 80k. I want to know if the online route works so I can save 30k😔.

Need to get the extract before entering Canada next month, so I can easily take the driving test and get my G license
You can drive quite alright with your G2 or get it from High Commission in Ottawa for $100

Hello gurus in the house.

Good day. Please I’m planning of applying for a study permit from my home country Nigeria. I already have an active visitor visa which is still valid. I have traveled to Canada as a tourist 2 months ago.

But currently I am in Nigeria. Will this impact on my application positively. I need encouragement and advice. Thanks
To butress the other person's response, I'll answer this way. It WOULD not have a negative impact on your application.
I have seen cases of people who had travel history and got rejected. The notes would say something like "while the applicant has some travel history, it is not enough to show that they would leave Canada at the end of their studies. For this reason, I am...".

Summarily, just prepare a very good application as though you do not have a travel history. If you have a good application, then your travel history is a plus. If it's not, then your travel history can't help.

Wish you the best!

Hi,, i know what I'm about to ask Might sound insensitive at the moment, please forgive me...

So i already booked my flight for the 2nd of June.

But I'm so scared of flying 😭😭😭 like very very scared
There’s not much to it to be honest. The only “special times” are during take off and landing. Other times it’s just like you’re in a BRT. As someone rightly suggested, chew gum cos of your ears and just enjoy your flight. Nothing prepares you for takeoff and landing but trust me it’s nothing to be scared of. It’s just a new feeling.

Safe trip!

Hello guys..,
Please help me, I requested for my CBSA notes and it came out this morning, but I don't understand it, does it mean my study permit has been approved.
I used an agent and he hasn't communicate with me.
Yup, your application has been approved. Congrats!
Reach out to your agent because you have 30 days from the day they approve for you to send your passport. I think 30 or 90, not sure but most likely 30.

My Japa Family,
@Relaxingend @Johnstan,

This is the only Ethiopian flight that is not stopping over at Chicago.

This one is ABUJA to ADDIS ABABA to TORONTO to VANCOUVER,BC.
Then he will do local flight ✈️ from Vancouver to Kelowna.

What are we to select here?
I assume this is for travel document. If yes, select "Passport"

Hello gurus, I want to use my frd's dad as sponsor. He has enough money in his account. Although I'm planning to add landed property that bears my dad's name (he's late).

Is the relationship ties strong enough? Pls what are the document I need to support with it

The tuition for one year PGD is 18,000 CAD
Paid - 2600CAD from my account
Let your friend’s dad do a sponsorship letter, show some commitment by sending some money to you or paying some more of your fees.

Then show proof of personal relationship, pictures, chat, etc.

It’s a long shot but having this at least would go a long way.

Good day everyone, I bought a return ticket just for the sake of pta but I wasn’t eventually given.
I’m trying to request for a refund and I was told I would only be getting 90k out of 320k. My question now is, is there any other way I can get my money back without requesting for refund from the airline.
Like maybe selling it off or other things, thanks.
Hiii, I don’t have an answer to your question but pls if you don’t mind, why was your application for PTA rejected and how long did it take CBN to approve?

I just did as you said, btw i have both savings and corporate account with that bank, so my account officer is asking me if i want two references or both account details in one letter, since they're going to the same place. What's your take on this
They can put both account details in one letter. Not an issue

Have you booked your flight? See a million and sometimes two million naira flight everywhere, any idea of where or how I can see anything less?
I have. I started the process on Qatar Airways website and went to their office in VI to complete it cos my card didn’t work for payment.

Check Air Maroc and Ethiopian, you’d get something cheap on those

Please you guys should help me with how to book ticket good bargain and a good deal. @Thomsyne @johnstan Which site or airline?

Thank you
I tried Wakanow but the prices weren’t looking friendly at all. Try Qatar or Ethiopian. You’ll still get 1m ish this year. Else, till next year o.

And pls be careful so you don’t buy tickets that will transit through countries that will need a transit visa. You won’t know that you don enter one chance till it’s time to board

Good morning guys, please how do i go about getting a reference letter from the banks i have accounts with? Also, must it be the branch where i opened the account or just any branch. thank you

@Charitojames @Johnstan @Pace6 @Thomsyne
Any branch will do. Just go there and request for reference/covering letter. Tell them you want to use it for visa application then give them the address the letter should speak to. They’ll know what to do

The account must not be 4 months old like the person above stated?
Nah, not necessarily. It is best practice but you have a lot of explaining to do if that is your last resort.
Is the account going to be in your name? Is the sponsor a third-party?

Please house,
I have a question...
The sales of land i wanted to use as proof of payment was paid in pounds, into my brothers account, he wants to transfer to me but the rates are so low now and we will lose alot of money if we do. So we came up with an idea for me to open a pounds domicialiary account and he will make the transfer there.
But I want to be sure if this would be accepted, because the domicialiary account statement will only show the pounds paid in by him.
If there are other alternatives, please advise me.
It can/will be accepted. The only thing there is, you have to explain thoroughly:

- why the account is new and the reason it was used for this purpose.
- why and how the funds will be used to sponsor you
- that the funds are easily accessible and are in fact meant for the purpose of your studies.

Hello Johnstan, pls did u send your PP to Abuja, what fees did u pay pls. Biko i need the info ASAP.
He did one way courier to Lagos.
If you wanna do to Abj, see attached. I’m guessing you did biometrics in Lagos so you’ll pay 9930 and 990.

However, this one people are saying DHL doesn’t do two-way anymore, I’m not sure what the other options are.

Address is in their consent form, isn't it?
I'm not sure they use that address for postage. So for me, the address on all my documents and correspondence are my parent's because of my bank statements and all.
However, the address I use and used for postage is where I live (which is different from my parent's)

Maybe they mean a "return address". That is, where they will send your parcel back to.
Maybe, just maybe.

Seniors,
Please can I use my fixed deposit certificate as proof of funds? or I should just wait till it matures before submitting my application.
Advice a brother please.
I used fixed deposit with few accounts having like 8m liquid funds and got an approval. Just make sure you explain how the funds will be available after maturity and the reason it is in fixed deposit. And if you can, attach all the certificates for the investment periods plus the bank statement and relate the previous maturity dates (if any) with the credit dates in the statement.

Most importantly, at least have some liquid funds in another account.

Wish you all the best.

90 days is 3 months, you mean 3 months is not enough to gain admission and renew student visa when you are already in Canada?
It's not worth the risk and the expense. People who do this extension/renewal thing, more often than not do a PGWP eligible program for the first one year.
That way, they're on an implied status of post graduate work permit for 1 year which is more than enough time to do the 1 + 1 method.

But, to each their own. This is my own POV.

Good morning gurus, I'm preparing to reapply for student visa by January 2023. My school resumption date is May 2023. I was refused on Nov 28. But as the applicant I felt I should include my own statement account.

Pls how much did you think I can send to my account?

Won't this payments raise suspicions?
Adding your own account is definitely a plus if you are reapplying.

At least, one year living expenses plus miscellaneous should be in your account (13k cad)

If you don’t have it and your sponsor is transferring to you, please explain and back it up with notarized gift deed.

Finally, it’s best to order your CBSA/GCMS notes to know the exact reason for the delay. Might not necessarily be ONLY because you didn’t add your statement of account

It can be anything. Good or bad or nothing.

It could be PFL, GCMS notes application, consent form signing (although I doubt this) or PM asking to sign ATIP.

He should just ask the agent whatsup
