GeneralPula:Certainly! And we are also reminded of very old but vibrant leaders like Abraham Lincoln, FD Roosevelt, and Sir Winston Churchill. |
Tigray has held political power in Ethiopia for many decades, and have used that opportunity to consolidate their gains from the greater Ethiopia. Now out of power for just a few years, they are no longer content with receiving orders from the rest of Ethiopia who themselves have been receiving orders from a minority Tigray for many decades. |
Why can't we have individuals in their 40s? Is 60 not already part of the tired generation of failures. |
In his current sorry state, he will humbly remember all the atrocities and outlandish promises and threats he made while he was a menace to society and a fugitive from the law. I think it is time for Sen Ekweremadu to go visit the supreme leader, with a dish of Ofe Nsala, and a copy of the human rights charter that both Ekweremadu and Kanu are entitled to, but Kanu did not hesitate to unleash terror on Ekweremadu. Meanwhile, Kanu's spectators in Afara Ibeku are still waiting for the head of Buhari that a certain clown promised them. |
While I never expected to come across an honest policeman, some are actually upset with Abba Kyari for the daring exploits he was able to achieve while corruptly discharging his duties. Some are even more offended that someone who is not of their own tribe, could be so well distinguished in his police career. As for USA asking for one Nigerian or the other, has USA itself ever regarded any criminal allegation against their own citizen, and released such citizen to another country for prosecution? USA should provide Nigeria the evidence they have against Abba Kyari, and then his employers and the Nigerian prosecution should do the needful within Nigeria. Why would Nigeria or any country ever release a very significant security personnel to another country, who will then try in their own court and extract critical security information to strike a plea bargain? |
AdaNri1:So you as an Igbowoman actually despise that the courts has liberated Igbo women from the shackles of the discrimination in inheritance that Igbos practice? You actually support that women should not get anything substantial from their husbands/fathers, so they don't take it away from the male line of ownership? |
fuckingAyaya:And now that you have realised you have been lying to yourselves, one would expect you would stop the self-inflicted lies. |
AdaNri1:Grace Folashade Bent contested and won the 2007 Senate seat from Adamawa state where her husband originates from, despite that she is actually from Osun state. Remember your mindset, next time you hear news of an Igboman or Igbowoman who has been elected to some significant political office in a foreign country. Charity begins at home. |
Same Saraki who hid overnight in the car park of the National Assembly, just so he could spring a surprise on his own party to become Senate President? Even as a staff of his father's bank, Société Generale Bank, he was already involved in a fraud case investigated by the Nigeria police in the early 1990s. |
Emergingnation:Continue begging for human rights. Even the Igbo man whose house was burnt down by Kanu's terror squad also had human rights, and had never at any point requested that Kanu should be his supreme leader. |
Can anything good come out of Nazareth? He was never celebrated for exhibiting saintly attributes, but for showing effectiveness and courage in a profession populated by cowards and unintelligent minds. But to think he was not getting some Roger in typical Nigerian Police manner, Negro please! |
So long Jimmy. |
I have no sympathy for the foul mouthed terrorist who does not tolerate any dissent from even people who do not acknowledge him as their self-imposed leader. Let Kanu be given his own human rights as Sen Ekweremadu received human rights from Kanu's terror squad in Germany. I am waiting for the day he will return to Afara Ibeku with Buhari's head as promised. Little wonder the UK have distanced themselves from their trouble-seeking parasitic fake citizen. |
I like such effective reactions from people who have been taken for a ride for too long. Why is it that the most important of roads are the ones allowed to decay? Now that the youths have blocked the road, and no access to Onne Port by all of the industries and oil firms within Port Harcourt, let the federal government come to the reality of how important the road is. |
jlinkd78:Very courageous decision. I also hope the CBN can be steadfast to see it through. |
Newton85:I know it was named after the Bight, which itself was named after the kingdom that once thrived and traded along that coast. Conclusion is that the name Benin Republic owes its name to the Benin Kingdom. |
Newton85:And the Bight of Benin is named after which Benin? So whatever route you take, you will still arrive at the fact that Republic of Benin is a borrow of the name Benin from the defunct empire that is in present day Nigeria. |
Alba3:So the Bight of Benin is in reference to Benin that is in Japan or where? So which other Benin was the Bight of Benin named after? Or the Gulf of Guinea is in reference to the Papau New Guinea in Polynesia and not the Guinea that is right by the West African Gulf? |
Rugaria:Very soon your type will claim it is Igbo Oil money that developed NigerDelta or that built Abuja. What is the meagre contribution of Abia and Imo state oil compared to the total oil production in Nigeria? Or is it the futuristic gas exploitation that is to come in Imo state that is making you backdate its impact on past and current infrastructural development by the federal government? |
Well it is OK to borrow a name from a neighbouring tribe. Gold Coast borrowed the Ghana name from the defunct Ghana empire in West Africa that was not anywhere near the territorial geography of modern Ghana. Dahomey borrowed the Benin name from the defunct Benin empire in West Africa that is currently within Nigeria. So Dahomey became Benin Republic. So I see nothing wrong that an Ijaw will provide the Igbos the name to call their Igboland, from the now defunct coastal description called Bight of Biafra.

Ebitimi44:Is there any Ijaw village in Lagos? I know of Ijaws in Ondo with their own land/villages, but claiming there are Ijaws who are ethnic to Lagos is like claiming there are Tivs who are ethnic to Lagos |
fenibak:Look at typical Kanu people begging for human rights, yet they do not have any regards for human rights or contrary opinion. Terrorists want to benefit from human rights? I reckon this is the same way Kanu will rot in jail and never see the light of day. |
Who would give a lunatic 5 SouthEast states? Is he elected by anyone to represent Igbo interest? Or you think any national government would invite a nonentity to have such deliberations on behalf of people who already have democratic and constitutional representation? Is the Catalonian demand for independence from Spain being championed by a clown or the democratic leadership of that region within Spain? Is the everlasting Scottish demand for independence being championed by a comedy troupe or the political leaders of that region within the Greater Britain? Don't entertain the delusions of a clown. |
Investigative:How was Ojukwu on exile in 1995? Was Ojukwu not pardoned since the early 1980s during the regime of Shehu Shagari, and even contested for Nigerian Senate in the 1983 elections? |
Arrewa:You have now adopted IPOB strategy to checkmate their nefarious activities. They are very quick to appeal to anyone be it UN, EU or FIFA or WAEC, in an attempt to police the reactions of those who are on the receiving end of their bile and terror, while doing much worse themselves knowing they will get away with it as others do not have a standing mob of zombies under oath to a supreme leader to execute propaganda. |
richie240:I tire myself. It was like trying to teach a Fulani herdsman that ranching is the civilised method of cattle rearing. |
lexy2014: Sowore was interviewed earlier on why he was at the court. He said wanted to make sure no trial was held today, as Nnamdi did not commit any crime. However, OyigboUpdates overheard the conversation and challenged Sowore, and he took to his heels, blabbing "bring the evidence to the court" Is that not the reason he is being brought to court today? |
lexy2014:How can evidence be brought forth in a court you are intent on preventing from discharging its duties? |
lexy2014:How can evidence be brought forth to the court, when a lunatic protestor declared that he has come to court to ensure that the trial does not continue, only to then say anyone with a claim should come to court to prove it? |
lexy2014:He is brainless based on his own intent to physically stop a court trial and by passing judgment of innocence on Kanu, but when challenged on the recorded crimes of the fugitive, he said the accusations should be proven in court. The same court whose trial he wants to interfere with. Is that not a display of brainlessness? |
