If the banks do not have CCTV CAMERAS to capture the image of the robbers, then they have to be held responsible. I knew that the policemen would have ran away. Though I am happy no live was lost, but the psychological trauma from this kind of experience cannot be underestimated. The victims need to be helped
Crime › Re: How A Lady Led Robbers To Attack Banks In Ikorodu Today by Time2Smile(m): 5:11pm On Jun 24, 2015
Just thinking does anyone have an idea the amount of money the robbers will be able to cart away from this kind of operation. And I imagine the policemen in the police station opposite the scene of the robbery would have ran away using the station backdoor while changing their clothes on the run during the robbery.

You don't have any problem of choice. Leaving Islam is not negotiable, please it should not even cross your mind. The only decision you have to make now is whether you want to be in a polygamous marriage. But I can tell you there are a lot of polygamous marriages in which there is more love and happiness compared to the so called monogamous marriage. And to even think you are contemplating leaving Islam saddens me. You want to turn your back on the greatest blessing God has bestowed on you. Pray to Allah to make you firm, guide you and make you taste the sweetness of Islam. Being and dieing as a Muslim is be the best thing that will ever happen to a any human being including you.

Before you reply just know that a lot of Nigerian women have slept with their bosses to advance their careers, and the husband end up spending the paycheck with her. So is it not better to do it for a 900,000 job instead. If you don't have any problem marrying a non-virgin then you don't have cause for complaints. The issue is fornication, which will never be right not who she slept with or why she did it.

Yes how much have you saved? What are your other expenses? Are you married? However from my perspective I like a comfortable accommodation and 2 and half months of your salary is not too much.

I forgot, You have to tell her to relax, because she is anticipating the the pain she may be tightening her V. Muscle, she must relaxand take a deep breath, And whatever she does pls don't get angry or be frustrated Encourage her all the way.
Family › Re: Help A Newly Wedded Couple by Time2Smile(m): 11:25am On May 11, 2015
Congratulations Man, Patience, Patience and Patience is all you need. You are already on the right track. You will have to communicate with her and let her know that there will be some pain. You have to arouse her alot before trying to go in(pre-intimacy for at least 15 minutes). Make sure you use lubrication. Now this is where you have to be patient, You don't have to complete the penetration at once, Go in until she can't bear the pain again, then withdraw, you can try again a day or two days later, don't be in hurry with every trial her body will loosen up a bit. You have the rest of your lives to enjoy each other. And when you are at it remind her how much you love her and care for her. Good luck and welcome to the married club. Pls no one should quote me I plan to take down this post later. The advice is for married men only.

OP Your post is too vague. Like most have said it all depends on your standard of living but 20%of your salary is not too much if you don't spend another 100,000 paying Dstv bill, fueling gen, buying recharge card, buying drinks, Aso Ebi e.t.c. What I mean is that if she doesn't ask for any other money for the whole month after giving her 100,000. And please don't resent your wife for not working. because if this is the underlying reason even if she spend 40,000 you will still have complaints. You are the man, It is the responsibility of the man to provide for his family, And who says she is not working? She is working to raise you kids instead of allowing a stranger to to do it. I don't want to assume but I guess there is more to this than what your post alludes to. Appreciate your Wife.
Family › Re: Married As A Second Wife For Child-Bearing by Time2Smile(m): 10:39pm On May 09, 2015
I just saw this thread today and I read every post. OP I think you have a good life and you should not let people take away you happiness. Yours is a happy marriage from all indications, you will be surprised at the number of so called monogamous marriages in which there are more than 2 people in it, devoid of love, understanding, happiness, trust, repeat, even mercy. Your husband has been a perfect husband from all what you have said. Please disabuse yourself of the notion of ever leaving him. All your focus now should be about giving birth to a wonderful baby and raising the baby with your husband with love and affection. I am appalled that some people will seat in the comfort of their homes and be advising a woman to leave her husband and destroy her home (YES YOU HAVE A HOME) when there is no cogent reason, but giving lame excuse about polygamy, Where in the Bible is polygamy prohibited, Abraham the father of faith married more than one wife. Monogamy was only brought into Christianity as part of roman culture. May God guide you aright.

What are you saying. I was not brought up in a polygamous home. But my religion allows it in as much it's done within the rules and he can be just. If he fear he cannot be just then should only marry one to avoid falling into error.

It's better to have a polygamous home than adulterous husband. This is a grevious sin in which most men are involved in today.
Your beliefs might not make you see sense in polygamy but what you should not do is discourage or condemn people in it. Live your life and let her live hers.
Well Said I am actually waiting for @babeosisi reply
Family › Re: Sex And Marriage: Why Men Force It And Why Women Refuse It by Time2Smile(m): 5:44pm On May 09, 2015
Thank You. I think spousal rape is reprehensible , although it might be difficult to draw a line on what constitute rape when couples are concerned. I Will really like to know Christianity stance on this, It is clear forcing your wife is forbidden in Islam, if not the husband would not have to sleep angry if there is the option of forcing her(from the hadith you quoted). By the way what is the solution to this. It is more common than we care to admit.
Career › Re: Salary Scale Of Lecturers In Nigerian Universities by Time2Smile(m):
But lecturing has its own perks, for instance the working hours are really flexible, it is one of the few government jobs where you really enjoy what you do(I love imparting knowledge), Not tedious and boring, there is respect from all and sundry, you do not have to be at the top to have access to travel grants and travel overseas. And considering the employment situation in Nigeria it is a really good job.

Career › Re: Salary Scale Of Lecturers In Nigerian Universities by Time2Smile(m): 4:59pm On Apr 30, 2015
The post is correct as far as I know(and I should know) However that is the Base salary, there are other allowances such as housing allowance, but at the end of the day An Assistant lecturer, with Master degree and on a PhD programme, will earn about 130,000 monthly. I know this might not be much to some people but this just illustrates how poor public service pay is in Nigeria.A Typical Civil Servant in most Southwest states will not make up to 130,000 after working for up to 20 years. That's were corruption in the civil service comes in. Most civil servant survive by stealing government money. To be continued
Education › Re: Common Lies Lecturers Tell Female Students Especially. by Time2Smile(m):
@CzarChris You do have a point. But it is expected of the lecturers show high level of maturity and integrity and resist such overtures. Academics the world over, represent the highest level of intellectual capacity of a society. Nevertheless, overwhelming majority of cases are being instigated by the lecturers, and the extent to which some of them denigrate themselves to achieve their aim is odious and loathsome. A 30 year old may be easily pardoned but not a 64 year old debauched lecturer.

Don't think Men value marriage like women,I for one am not interested in Marriage but am compelled to do it 1) For Kids 2) To fulfill family and societal expectations...So most men my age are more interested in making money than marriage
Well said. I am surprised nobody has mentioned the factor responsible for high numbers of unmarried older ladies (It is fact a lot of ladies can't find husband). It is simply free sex and fornication , why would a typical 25 to 30 year old want to marry when he can satisfy himself with a variety of women, when he is ready to marry him simply look for a young lady leaving women in his age group in limbo. To a lesser extent this also happens to these women, The urge to satisfy their sexual desire should be one of the major reasons to want marriage, but they were sleeping around when they were ripe and in prime position for marriage. You can't eat your cake and have it. Sex is only meant for marriage

I am appalled that some are still complaining about the length of the post. For Goodness sake it takes about 5 minutes to read, Short attention span is really the bane of Nigerians, especially youths.
This is one of the most thoughtful post ever on Nairaland, The concept of unconditional love is a mirage. The correct thing to say is: LOVE ME FOR WHO I AM, (and that is your condition) not LOVE ME FOR WHO I AM NOT.
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Startimes Slashes Bouquet Prices by Time2Smile(m): 6:12pm On Apr 17, 2015
I think is high time someone gave DSTV some competition. Startimes might not be really competing with DSTV yet but it is positioning itself to do so. A lot of people who normally subscribe to the cheaper bouquet of DSTV have already abandoned DSTV for STARTIMES. What killed HITV was that they didn't have content and costumer base to cater for those that were not really interested in football. The business was based solely on premership right and losing the right killed HITV. But Startimes is already establishing a market space for itself, Therefore the next logical step is to bid for Premiership and Champions League right when the next round of bidding starts and send DSTV to the doldrums for good.
