BellaDonaFema: naaaah! your agbor has 2 kings (ika north east or so and ika south). i ve been to agbor a couple of times and i know a litt about the land and its people.
There's the Obi of Owa (boji boji owa/ owa oyibu) and the Dein of Agbor (agbor dein and its environs).
The Dein of agbor seems a very enlightened and decent man to me and handsome too. He is a very busy man also.
Yeah. I am only aware of the Dein of Agbor.

But I know the Agbor people to be mischievous yet peaceful people O. Have several close friends from the place. Besides I didn't see Agbor being mentioned in the article.

ketoprofen: i knw where u are going to, but old park also harbours a market.
Now, they want to demolish it for shopping malls.
Is d park for malls too?
Bro, it boils down to overriding interests that would favour the government the most.

In your own understanding, which do you think would yield the most taxes to govt? Is it Polo Mall as it stands now (with Shoprite, Game, Genesis cinema, etc) or that conglomerate of beer parlours and joints which hitherto occupied that space?

Same would apply to that Old Park area. They would lease it to the better bidder that would guarantee steady returns, in this case, another shopping mall.

It's the way I see it though.

PRAYER AGAINST BRIBERY AND & CORRUPTION IN NIGERIA
Father in Heaven, you always provide for all your creatures so that all may live as you have willed. You have blessed our country Nigeria with rich human and natural resources to be used to your honour and glory and for the well-being of every Nigeria.
We are deeply sorry for the wrong use of these your gifts and blessing through act of injustice, bribery and corruption, as a result of which many of our people are hungry, sick ignorant and defenseless.
You alone can heal us and our nation of this sickness.
We beg you, touch our lives and the lives of our leaders and people so that we may all realise the evil of bribery and corruption and work hard to eliminate it.
Raise up for us God fearing people and leaders who care for us and who will lead us in the paths of peace, prosperity and progress.
We ask these through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

yungboss: let me state how these loan stuffs work.
1.You apply for a loan of N800k...
It is processed,
2.Offer letter is signed and all future charges stated in your offer letter and the repayment schedule.
3. Management fee of 2% is stated to be taken annually based on the outstanding balance.
4. Insurance fee(depends on your place of employment) of 2%...
5.Interest (in this case,2009 year): 22% p.a.
6. tenor(in dabrake's mom's case): 36 months.
From Mathematics, the Total interest for the 3yr period was N289,022.60
excluding the one-off mgt fee take taken once every 12months based on the balance at the 12month.
These things are obvious when your Facility is booked...it's clear.
Late repayment fee (in the event of default) is 1% of the default amount
apologies to dabrake if i came too harsh...but it was due to my perception that he was mixing up things...
Chief. I am thoroughly familiar with the entire stages of credit grants, from the customer's application to draw down. Your reply to Dabrake's complaint (which appeared condescending to me), was what prompted my response.

Nice day. smiley

yungboss: 2% of THE OUTSTANDING BALANCE, not on the N800,000...at the time the deduction was made, the loan would have reduced from N800k.
Find out what the balance was, then do the maths...it is stated in the offer letter, on the conditions precedent to drawdown of the facility.
''Management fee: 2% annually in advance''
So it's obvious that you did not read the fellow's post (and his complaint about a N100, 000 debit) before you jumped to conclusions, described him as ignorant and assumed that Management fee was what his mum and he failed to recognize, isn't it?

I don't want to assume that you are a UBA staff.

yungboss: most of you are so ignorant...e.g YOU. Your mom should have read her offer, it was communicated in writing, 2% management fee ANNUALLY of the outstanding balance of your loan....or you guys don't read what you are given?
What's 2% of 800, 000? undecided

nwawuweneonye: First of all, UBA head office is 57 Marina and not 54. Most times. Poor service is indiviidual thing rather than brand or the bank in itself. This may as well happen in any other bank in Nigeria. Confirmation of reference b4 account opening has nothing to do with contacting the referee. All that is done is to. Take the copy of the reference to. The bank and confirm the suitability of the referee. There's no provision made for the phn nos of d referee let alone calling. There's what is called initial acct opening balance which varies frm currency to currency, for pounds, its 70 while dollars is 100. A new acct be it Naira denominated or foreign currency is not suppose to be opened using cheque deposit alone. This is CBN regulation. Most banks by pass certain regulations but whn the chips are down, u wouldn't knw whn d CBN hammer falls on them for such by pass. From ur naarration, it is though more of knowlegde gap on the part of the officer that attented to u rather than the banks mode of operation.
Your statement that CBN prohibits opening of accounts using cheque deposits; I'd like to see a copy of that policy.

Reference: Nothing new here. Peter cleaved the ear of one of the soldiers that came to arrest Jesus. Its hard to seperate the the zeal for God and that for the institution of the church with all its traditions, rules and every other thing Christ is supposed to set us free from.
What followed thereafter? What was Christ's response?

If he were a knowledgeable person, he won't go park where he was asked no to park, he won't wanna get mobbed (assuming 12 folks gathered round him with anger grin : your story funny sha), he won't say he wore a 9yr old clothe to church, no matter how special it was to you (9yr old clothes? He must be a frugal fellow grin, him no dey grow fat or slim? grin )

They even gave him cold water and juice sef (which he obviously drank- dat guy was a hungry fellow joor grin n, I'm sure he wanted communion bread too or expected a plate of rice/moi moi grin )...if I were d pastor, I'd get him born again fast
Are you a member of that church?
