To the M&B folks...

May & BAKER is about now currently presenting the FACTS BEHIND THE FIGURES with respect to their ongoing rights issue !!
...Venue of presentation is the stock exchange house in Lagos.
That rights issue get as e be. With abundant supply at the market price of N2.30, the rights issue price of N2.50 looks expensive. May be interesting for those looking for control though.

Proprietary trading in which market?

There is no firm that is in profit year to date from prop trading.
This comment is too sweeping and general. How do you know this for sure?

Hi all,
i have a couple of questions and would really appreciate feedbacks from anyone that is properly enlightened on the subject.

1. I'm working towards the Fall 2019 cycle and would love to rub minds with anyone that has insights into top business schools admission (Sloan, Austin, Fuqua, etc.)

2. What's the most legit way that I can convert my GPA to a 4.0 scale for free. I have been seeing a lot of guestimates here and there... Would it be ideal to just do (4.75/5.00 * 4.00 = 3.8 for example) or is there a more standard way of getting the estimate?. Though some of the schools i've been parsing don't really require me to submit a converted transcript, I just want to have it with me for record purposes.

3. A couple of people have been telling me about Education USA. Is there any member in here that can enlighten me on the perks of being a part of the program and how i can join?

Thanks...
I attended Sloan. I didn't need to convert transcript for admission purposes but my domestic university had a conversion guide at the back of every page of the transcript. You can try WES but there is a cost to it.

Hi guys, I have an enquiry.

I am looking at setting up a securities trading firm for own account only. I would be trading large volume of shares using my resources and with no outside investors or clients. For this reason, I wish to ask if applying for a “dealer” or “broker/dealer” license from SEC/NSE is the way to go.
This is called Proprietary Trading.

You don't need get any broker/dealer licence from SEC/NSE or any agency for that matter. Just open an account with brokers that can give you online access to trade your accounts. Many abound and have been mentioned here several times.

Performance may continue to trail expectation as this company is primarily interested in gaining market share in a very competitive industry. They have held prices stable and are expected to increase brewing capacity (market supply also) when their Sagamu brewery comes on stream.

Not bad. Almost 100% growth in PAT if you trust interim results of insurance companies.
Possibly targeting a rights issue ahead. Usual shenanigans.

I strongly believe its not OGG. This same guy uses different monikers with same threats in different sections. He has scheduled military style punishment sessions in other sections as well.

More insights now about the Atlas Mara/Union Bank deal on Tuesday, June 26.

https://www.african-markets.com/en/stock-markets/ngse/atlas-mara-increases-its-stake-in-union-bank-of-nigeria-to-49

From my calculation, Atlas Mara valued and paid N7.18 per share of UBN which is a 21.8% premium on June 26, 2018 UBN closing price of N5.90. 49% gone and determined to achieve control. Interesting times indeed....
