First, it was Dangote Flour and when all analysis and paralysis failed, they blamed it on Stock Manipulation.

Now, it is Honey Well Flour. On it's own decline, after it's own recommendation, analysis and paralysis. These flour companies shaaa.

It is "WELL". Even with "honey" inside the "WELL".

Dangote Flour almost retired them, almost "retired" them same way Sir Loco retired that their second moniker, not every gentle guy is actually gentle.

We "DIE" here.

Just beware of these prophets. The very "fake" prophets and their insights.

I still await that air crash. That will surely break the camels back!

Actually not too sure whether the picture shared above is that of Bella though...had pictures of her and her litter mates on my other phone but lost all my pictures on that phone, including those of Bella and the other dogs, when the phone developed a fault and had to be 'flashed' to get it back to working condition...
Aww...next time please save on one drive or google drive.

HOW ZENITH ALMOST TOOK ALL OF MY PROFIT FROM TRANSCORP AND OANDO
On 30th May, I remember buying 350,000 units of zenith bank at 26.2 because I thought the bull was around, more so that diamond, fidelity, fcmb and transcorp (among others) went on a sudden full bid. Minutes later, the bulls started losing strength so I immediately sold all the units at 26.10. At that point I was pained because of the loss and the broker's fees which all came up to almost 210,000 loss in just a few minutes.
Looking back now at the price of zenith bank(25.50) today, I have no regrets. I would have lost more than the dividend would have given me. I even think I can get it at 24.
You took all the right actions post purchase of that stock! Nothing to worry about. Your sales proceeds should fetch you more than the quantity disposed in not too distant time.

Eg sold zenith with previous broker and buying again with Morgan capital. Kind advice pls
You didn't need to do this. Next time just do an inter-member transfer and all your stocks will move to designated broker.

Could they possibly take this bank private if free float rule is breached?

Trading
- they tell u just Buy Low and Sell High , sounds very easy ... it's actually easier to end up selling low and buying high.

lolx #sigh
Lol.... grin grin grin

Easier said than done otherwise there would be more successful stockmarket traders/speculators/investors than those who gave up along the way out of frustration and despair.

Now to all my fellow players in this and other markets although i suspect you know these already... from insightful information i have pieced together from many sources - Less than 7% of SM participants get really rich from doing business in the markets - Equity, futures, currency (even worse here) etc. About 30% breakeven after years of trying, and the rest just give up and move on to something else.

Another interesting thing from reading Warren Buffets Letters to shareholders for 2016 and 2017, although this is conventional wisdom, lots of folks are much better off by just investing in index funds. In Nigeria we have quite a few promoted by leading brokers and investment banks. They do this thing for a living.

Now, Another Insight, There is no one way to make money from the markets. You need to constantly evolve. A strategy that made money 3 years ago can backfire and cost you your fortune. Your focus should be on making money and not on particular shares you hold. Emotional attachment is dangerous.

From personal experience...If you want to make thripple digit returns, it can't be found in the well managed and stable companies with nice financials. Those ones will deliver nice annual returns that beat returns on government securities by a mile. Thripple digit returns are in distressed stocks...NOTE:Distressed stocks, not DISTRESSED COMPANIES. There are about 3 i see clearly in the market now. It takes a measure of boldness, healthy risk appetite and research into these companies to unlock the returns. Never forget your statistics 101 lessons on Probability.

Be Greedy at the right time, fearful at the right time and never let over-confidence and over-familiarity with the market kick in. Otherwise, the market will get you.

For Union Bank, ignore dividend for now and think of possible M&A opportunities that can give you capital appreciation.

I am not someone that want too many stocks in my portfolio, so I flew out today (@1.61) from the caverton I bought at 1.52 last week.

Sold C & I at 151k, bought at 152k (1k loss also)

Zenith bank still forming boss at #27.97 but soon visit sub 27.
There is no news around to bring in bull, q2 is still far.
The only "selective bull" i forsee (MY OPINION) should be around July/August when PFAs rebalance their portfolios in line with new regulation, to take on more variable return assets ("read" mostly equities) for those that are underweight this asset class. Of course quality names will be the major beneficiaries and my guess is that those with an interim dividend policy will be the winners.

Check the FMDQ's site. Bonds not quoted on the NSE are mostly traded on the FMDQ's OTC exchange.

The link below has their daily quotation list. In it, you'll find all the bonds that currently trade on their floor- corporate bonds inclusive.
