I learnt from Channels TV news this morning that Diamond Bank has been given a red flag by NSE in their Corporate Governance Report. That could be the reason for the price retraction.
Let's wait and see how the request for a merger is treated in SEC and NSE when its finally fled. |

Abeg, people using the "F" appellation to their moniker, Mcy and Yayira, this na new year. Your quarrels are a distraction to the main issue why we are here. There is a thread for people to go and quarrel for NL. I will try and get the link for you. When both of you are not at it, you make a lot of sense with our posts. Lets keep it focused this new year. Na beg I dey beg.
People wey dey take side, e don do too. No more distractions. |

onegentleguy: Am out of DIAMOND BANK !! ...a juicy approx 205% ROI from a ride of a BEP of 0.71k to N2.17 is'nt such a bad idea. With a stock like DIAMOND, I prefer not to be too greedy. ...so the fellow that bought from me can maybe ride on from where I stopped with the plausibility of any additional return. While I owe no one a duty to state when I exit a coy, I have to do this to serve the interest of those who consulted me privately. ...and so to the few who sent me mails on DIAMOND, Pls take note of this !! As I communicated in my PMs to u, my romance with DIAMOND(like skye) shall be strictly based on trade and never for the purpose of investing. This exit strategy is also in line with my ealier post weighing the head to head benefits on the back of the ACCESS/DIAMOND merger.(see the parts in bold of the post above)
Pls do well to be guided accordingly.
CAVEAT: Not to be referenced as any sought of recommendation. ...due diligence still applies. Nice one. Annualized, that is over 2000%. Rare. |

DeRuggedProf: stockbrokers have indeed made money today.
I reviewed my trading this week and discovered I have to get more discipline. No wonder my broker was all smiles that last time we spoke. I have really worked very hard this year for those guys, much more than most of their staff, and I am not on their payroll.... I will be a very lazy client next year, God willing.... Roger That. |

Godlylifeoneart: Noteby... It was the SA investor(Tiger Brand) that lost terribly in the Dangote Flour affairs. It still reflects in the annual report of Tiger brand till date. Alhaji played them well.TB could not compete in unfamiliar territory. In the breweries subsector, it's a different game. A. Rooijen was once the MD of champion breweries and he still represents the interest of the SA investors till date. For Heineken, the majority shareholders to hold on to about 4.7bil shares in dz Company despite facing financial challenges in Europe means there is an intrinsic value in dz company that is not yet known to common shareholders Watch out....... The Brewery is owned majorly by Nigerian Breweries and the current MD is/was a staff of NB. What Champion Breweries does mostly is contract manufacturing for NB brands, just like some small bottling coys used to do for Coca Cola before they acquired them all. In addition, Champion breweries has its own brand, Champion Lager and malt which is sold around the Cross River/Akwa Ibom area. Any Heineken, Star or Gulder you see in those states is most likely brewed by CB for NB. |

What is the best option for retail investors. Take your cash. The new shares of ContinentalRe Holdings to be issued in exchange wont even be in your name. It will be in the name of a nominee. It will be quoted in mauritius and not Nigeria. How else can you be so far removed from your investment. Take your money and invest in another company. |

Culture › Re: Oba Of Benin, Ewuare 5 Wives At His 2nd Coronation Anniversary by TLAX: 9:28am On Oct 31, 2018 |
The first wife closest to him does not look happy.
He had only two wives during coronation 2 years ago, now there are five. That means every 2 years equals 3 wives
Mathematically if number of wives per year is x therefore from known facts x=3/2 = 1.5
Assume he is on the throne for 25 years, there for number of wives in 25 years will be 25x substituting for x = 25x1.5= 37.5 additional wives Add existing wives at coronation you get 37.5+2 = 39.5 wives
Since we can't have hal a human being and knowing that man is inherently greedy, we approximate to next highest whole number = 40 wives
So the Oba may end up with 40 wives in the next 25 years
