Christianity Etc › MFM Church Accuses Official Of Lying About Eye's Surgery.threatens Sanction by tobechi74(op): 8:03am On Aug 02, 2014
Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, MFM, has accused one of its pastors, Lawrence Okechukwu Amuruche of telling lies against the leadership of the church with his claims that he sought assistance for an eye surgery and was instead given anointing oil and water.

Lawrence Amuruche, 61, who cried out for help after the anointing oil, water and prayer points allegedly given to him by the General Overseer of MFM, Dr Daniel Kolawale Olukoya failed to stop the cataract growing in his eyes.
Amuruche, who pastors the Alakija, Satellite town branch of the MFM, said the cataract had already grown on one eye and threatening to start growing on the second eye if medical help does not come fast.
He had visited the Sun head office in Lagos with a copy of the letter written to the church for help. He told his story as a way of reaching out the General Overseer and other Nigerians who may want to help and save him from going blind.

the church summoned Amuruche to its headquarters. He was asked to retract his claims in the report to earn forgiveness of the church or risk sanctions.

Adjacent to it was a building legible writin MOUNTAIN OF FIRE”.
People were praying aggressively with “holy anger”. He moved closer and realised they were laying courses on their enemies. Jesus ran out of the church.
Jesus found himself in a kingdom hall. He likes their modesty, quietness and street evangelism. He heard how they lost kids life due to reluctance to practice blood difusion. law was made for man and not man for the law.
Jesus ends the search and returns back .

After traveling a few more blocks, Christ comes to an Anglican building with music blasting out from a propped open door. Peering inside, He sees a minister on a stage running around, jumping and yelling

“Hallelujah!”—“Praise God!”—“Can I get an amen?” Congregants sway back and forth, with many falling over backward, and writhing in the aisles and shaking uncontrollably. People are loudly talking about being “slain in the Spirit” and “speaking in tongues.” Yet all Jesus hears is unintelligible gibberish.
“This church is nothing but confusion,” He concludes. “God is not the author of confusion, but of peace. In My Church, all things are to be done decently and in order. But this is chaos!” (Read I Corinthians 14:33, 40.

Next, He finds a church of “latter day saints.” Inside, a well-dressed young man greets Him and eagerly explains some of his church’s beliefs. He quickly lists that the church practices tithing because it is an ancient command, that baptism is by immersion, and the Holy Spirit is received by the laying on of hands. The young man also talks about how they adhere to the same organization of apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers and evangelists as existed in the early Church, and that the principles and ordinances of the gospel are faith, repentance, baptism and receiving the Holy Spirit.
“I did place ministerial ranks and various offices in My church, which this organization seems to understand,” Jesus thinks. “I certainly commanded that tithes should be paid, telling people ‘this ought you to have done’ ( Matt. 23:23). And baptism is by immersion, and the Holy Spirit is received through the laying on of hands.”
The young man continues, talking about celebrating Christmas and Easter, and how wonderful those days are.
Christ concludes, “This church keeps manmade religious holidays, instead of the Holy Days outlined in the Bible.”

Jesus happens upon a building with a spired bell tower. He ascends a series of concrete steps and sees the structure is apparently named after one of His apostles.” He flips through the pages of a book explaining the church’s catechism, and finds that its doctrines teach there is only one church and that it has a hierarchical government.

“Well,” He thinks, “This church understands there is only one true church” ( Matt. 16:18), “and it is not divided into many groups or organizations” ( I Cor. 1:13)
He would see his statue and that of his mum-Mary.“not make unto you any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth” ( Ex. 20:4“not make unto you any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth” ( Ex. 20:4.He instantly makes a U-turn and leaves (exodus 20;4).

Imagine Jesus Christ physically living on Earth today decides to attend church one sunday.
Jesus Christ would be presented with a myriad of different churches, all claiming to represent Him, profess His teachings, have His appointed ministers, and be His Church. Yet most of these have disagreeing doctrines

Politics › Anambra Looses On New Ministerian Appointment by tobechi74(op): 8:26pm On Jul 18, 2014
I wanted to keep quiet and rejoice like others ,but how can we all keep quiet in midst of this great injustice ?,sure, they removed Stella Oduah and replace her with another Anambra person ,But this appointment of Mr. Osita Chidoka (Ike Obosi) worries me,inshort it pains me like the menace going on in the North.
Osita Chijoka
I am happy for him, and I join his family and admirers in congratulating him. However, I think that his appointment takes something very big away from Anambra State.

This is suppose to be a plus but his appointment is a great MINUS. The ministerial slot to which he is appointed belongs to Anambra State. So, come rain or sunshine, that position would be given to an Anambra State person. That is the law. That is the constitution. The position that he had before at FRSC is a tenured office of 5 years each. He is in the 2nd year of his second tenure. Meaning that he has minimum of 3 years more to be there because there is no term limits there. That is a good position for Anambra State to have. Now that he is gone to occupy a position reserved for Anambra State by law, he is replaced by Former principal general staff officer to late head of state, Gen. Sani Abacha, Maj. General Lawrence Onoja a non-Anambra State citizen, not even an IGBO person or south Easterner.

Meaning that Anambra lost a very high profile position. What is the guarantee that President Jonathan will reappoint him Minister after the 2015 election? My Dad would,ve shouted “ndia akwo aka tiere okuku aki”[They've washed their hands clean only to break palm kernel for fowls to devour]
And what if by crook or creed another Party wins the presidency, will they re-appoint him minister? In either case of Jonathan’s reelection or another Party winning, an Anambra State citizen including himself, would be appointed a minister for Anambra State’s slot, but the FRSC position would be gone! This sharing of national cake is serious and no one will give you anything because everyone is busy protecting their own and at the same time eyeing your own to see if they can take it from you and it is very ugly stupid of us to have handed back a plus we had back to the central just because we are playing stupid kind of political witch hunt

Christianity Etc › Re: Miraculous Protection From HIV by tobechi74: 7:40pm On Jul 05, 2014
cktheluckyman: Dear Colleagues

Please join me in thanking God for delivering me from HIV infection inspite of the fact that I have been committing fornication and self-service.

I was engaged to a girl whom I was planning to marry later this year.Contrary to the churche's and biblical teachings we had already consumated the union even before wedlock.I took her to my parents early this year and my dad found her worthy but only insisted we carry out HIV screening before going ahead.By April I went and had a negative result. She told me she will do her's later.since we were having unprotected sex and I wasn't infected,I just assumed she will also be negative and didn't really bother.

Last month I told my dad I wanted the introduction to be in August but he bluntly told me,he is not going anywhere unless he sees our HIV result.I came back to her and impressed it upon her to carru out the test so that our marriage plans can proceed.

It was finally that she confessed to me that she was HIV positive and has known since December.

Bewildered I quickly went back for another HI test wich also came out negative.Today been the 12 week after we had sex,I have gone for another HIV test which is still negative. In all itz been between 19-12 weeks since I was exposed to the virus yet I am still negative.

I want you all to help me in thhanking God and praying for more of his mercies and blessings.

Please learn from my mistakes and abstain from pre-marital or extra-marital sex.I have severally visisted the blessed sacrament, said the rosary and divine mercy chaplets as well as enlisting the intercession of saints especially st Anthony of padua and Angel Raphael.

It is my belief God spared me because of my parents prayers and the intercession of these heavenly beings. His unfathomable divine mercy saved me!!! Please glorify the good Lord with me!!! Thank you Holy mother,Jesus I trust in you!!
so, you ditch the girl instantly?

Christianity Etc › Do You Give To Charity Organisation? by tobechi74(op): 8:45pm On Jul 03, 2014
I  happened to be an  active member of a charity organisation in my days in tertiary institution. I was led there by

CURIOSITY
AND
SYMPATHY FOR THE NEEDY

Having played an active role in their activitiies, i must say my expectation was cutshort

1)EMPHASISE ON MONEY
we were instructed to ask for money instead of materials.

2)mismanagement of fund;
these charitable organisation dont know how to manage your money.

3)money dont get to the needy; instead it is used in purchasing aircondition , vehicles, fan etc for comfort and administration. of charitable organisation managers

4)makes no difference;
An orphanage home with 100,000 naira and 50 inmates would never investing that amount on 3orphans education or setting them up with sewing machine to begin tailoring.
Its betterto change 3 persons life

charitable organisation hardly make inmates financially stable. They prefer to keep giving paracetamol for severe headache.

ACCOUNTABILITY;
Since the fund is derived from public, public needs details on how  the fund is being spent.they should issue financial report.

I have chosen not to have any dealing with them i 'd rather give directly to needy without any middleman.

Christianity Etc › Do Miracles Still Occur In Catholic Church by tobechi74(op): 1:11am On Dec 04, 2013
I keep hearing this question

Do modern miracles still happen in the Catholic Church?
If yes, which ones have you heard of?

Whats your view?
If no or not really, why do you think that is?
