Yakay: I don't think there is any issue with both points, most full time jobs are 40hrs /week and I have seen lots of ref letters with just that stated. Secondly January 2017 to Dec 2017 is one year and not January2017 to January 2018. 23 January 2017 to 22 January 2018 is one year. 1 January 2017 to 31 December 2017 is one year. The devil is in the details. |

Now the two options I'm interested in but have not fully understood are the PNP and the LMIA thingy...my cousin owns a business in Canada. Visiting a baba is obviously out of the question! Lol Where exactly is your cousin? You can find out more about PNP on this thread https://www.nairaland.com/4180147/all-canadian-provincial-nominee-programs |

bronze25: Firstly, the words 'full time' was not stated in the letter but the number of working hours (40hours/week) was mentioned. What Joo2018 saidbronze25: Secondly, I don't know if the date mentioned qualifies for one year (eg 23 March 2017- 11 March 2018). What Joo2018 said. However, IRCC states that: We don't count any hours you work above 30 hours a week. This means you've worked for exactly 1,524 hours (50 weeks and 3 days). |

Jennypharb1: All communication with them was oral. They even refused to view the cic format I had already typed for them to see, that they know what to do. Only for me to pick up this vacation letter plus what others have said, could you send them a mail reiterating that this is not the letter you need etc. If you don't think it's pushing your luck too far... Let's see if they respond. |

Jennypharb1: They refused. That is the only format they give out according to them. I think I'll just submit like I didn't receive a reference letter You can include the letter like that along with your correspondence with them in refusing to give you any other format. Last last it's still proof that you work with the company. |

Homguy: hello, I will certainly be getting ITA in Oct 3 draw or Oct 10 draw as my wife's Wes evaluation will be ready by Sept 28 and would really boost our CRS score. My question is, if incase CIC does not hold a draw on the 3rd of Oct can we go for medicals in October 8? As that's the next available appointment date for Children hosp and i want us to submit application before November. So we will be doing medicals 2 days before ITA.

I am new to this whole Canada immigration thing. I am about to apply for my ECA. I am a lawyer doing an MBA. I should be rounding up early next year. If you haven't please do so, and read up as many links as you can while you're there. |

Boogy: Good day everyone. I have an important question to ask.......is it possible to land in a state that wasn't filled in during the application. For example probably I filled Ontairo in my application and on leaving Nigeria I will be landing and settling in British Columbia..... is it possible to do that without any complications No complications whatsoever. Except you're sponsored by a province... then you'll be morally obliged to live in the province for a certain period of time. |

babs4090: What about screening? Are we expected to go ahead with registration without being screened? You cannot register without screening. You get mat number after screening. You need mat number to register. Keep calm, you'll be able to register soon, deadline is still far. In the meantime you can start studying. Use the registrable courses guide on school website to know your courses for this semester and download their materials. For more details on this check anthonyo15 recent posts. |

playee77: Good morning Cannylanders. Which of these options do you think is better? The hubby is the PA, however, about 60% of the POF is coming from the Father-in-law (Wife's Dad). Which of these is the most preferable method to transfer and document the money? 1. Transfer the money directly to his son-in-law's account (that has the remaining 40% POF) and do a gift deed to him? (Stating in the gift deed that he is supporting his daughter and her husband with this so so amount.) OR 2. Transfer the money to his daughter (wife) who writes a letter of consent (stating that her hubby has full access to the money) plus the gift deed from the father. OR 2. Transfer the money to his daughter (wife) who then in turn transfer to her hubby's account (PA) supporting it with gift deed from her father and an LOE explaining the transfer to the husband.
I suggested the first option, because it looks less complicated and very straightforward. However, the couple is concerned that, the relationship might seem too long (i.e Father to Son-In-Law) to drop such cash.
Please elders weigh in on this. Thank you. I prefer 1. Relationship is not too far in my opinion. |
