Elfmannisback: He is mixing up licensing in reality with professional degree known for immigration by IRCC. The latter gives masters points-more points and you can't still practice without a license while the former gives bachelor points-lesser points and u may still have to be licensed to practice. it's this grammar i did not have power to speak, that's why i just jejely did copy and paste. |

Experience4u: Pls I need clarification, I have a degree in Medical Laboratory science which requires a license to practice in Nigeria and abroad, do I choose just a bachelors degree or professional degree during CRS. Thanks Professional degrees for licensed professionsThis is also known as First professional degree or Entry-to-practice professional degree. For Express Entry, only degrees in these fields can earn equal points to a Master’s degree: medicine veterinary medicine dentistry podiatry optometry law chiropractic medicine pharmacy For example, a 4-year nursing degree is not considered a first professional degree. It would earn you the same number of points as a Bachelor’s degree. |

MaSisi: Hello house, Please i noticed that my ECA has two different date of birth for my masters and BSc which obviously is a mistake from the school. Masters 1st June (actual birth date) BSc 10th July Both are same year.
Please what do I do? Will it pose a problem? Thank you. If I were in such a situation I'd do an loe, back up with my birth certificate. In my opinion the error is less implicating since your real age makes you older than the fake. Football age tins is usually the other way round. Otherwise contact your school to make correction and forward new info to wes, so they correct your eca report. Might not be a quick process, this option. |

Femmylawy: Av been on traveling to Canada on work permit level but I got to realized my agent hide alot from me which include the embassy fee. He initially told me that embassy application fee is 50k but I got to know it's 120k. More so I have 400k plus in my account. Do I stand any chance of getting the visa with that amount or I should just hold to my self? Will appreciate your response Read page one of this thread. Follow as many of the links there as you can. Newmum0615: A staff in one of the license offices gave me a different information.I specifically asked and he said there was no rule against it. Technically you actually can't apply before a certain time frame to expiry... The website will refuse to accept your application to renew (error: this license is still valid) I've never tested to know the exact threshold but I think officially it's six weeks. |

FabioRomani: 3 of the job descriptions on the NOC were exactly what I am doing at work. But can it affect me in any way? Thank you. Calmes-toi! You've already submitted your application and worrying won't change anything. Just pray to the God you believe in and take your mind off it. Worst case na interview and you'll be able to defend yourself, Especially since you weren't lying, you actually do do those tasks. |

babs4090: Yes bros, but I’m still in doubt of which programme to do MSc or PGD as I’m still not clear on the duration both programmes take. Honestly I want the shortest possible. If I were you I'd go for PGD to avoid story that touch. You should also take some time to visit the faculty officer at a study centre near you, to get info direct from the horse's mouth. |

Newmum0615: Hmm. Interesting. What do you mean by current license? My hubby's own expires end of February and we are landing end of January. So you are saying he shouldn't bother renewing or getting a reissue before we leave? He can quickly use it to go for his driving test? Cos some people have suggested the same thing. My idea: six weeks to expiration of license, apply online for renewal. Select the option of no capturing. Also pick 5 years for good measure. Pau online and go complete the process at FRSC. Since you're not capturing, they'll neither take away your old licence nor issue you a temporary licence. Instead they'll sign your application paper with which you're expected to drive until your new license Is ready. Go with your old licence to Canada and use it to get your Canadian license. In three months, get someone to help pick up your five year Nigerian license so you're still able to drive in Nigeria whenever you visit. Important information:vcole: it is illegal to hold an Alberta license and any other drivers license. Just saying. A555: Additional point to note is that when you get your license in Alberta, you sign a document that says you do not have any other licenses, or essentially any way to get another license. So, getting a second license means you've made a false declaration on a legal document. |

Nairasurplus: Dear good people, kindly see below pictorial explanation from Canadian immigration website. The 8,7,7,7 that has been ringing bell here is not a prerequisite. You can still make it 6,6,6,6 provided your score is within CLB 7. You must not make it 8,7,7,7 to qualify. Brethren, who else is with me. My brother or sister, you are correct on the 6666 issue. Thanks for sharing this information for the benefit of those of us who weren't aware before. However, whatever score you decide to aim for in your ielts is personal to you. It's an OYO something. As for me and my household, we shall stick with 8777. In the meantime, there are a lot of links on page one of this thread. Visit as many of those links as you can (Shouldn't take more than 8 hours = one sleepless night) |

To be precise, the wife has been the PA all the while but based on recent developments, the husband as the PA will take their score to 474 from 436. So they intend to create his profile with him as the PA. Is there any issue with this? No |

prost80: Hello All,
Please we need advice. My wife is the PA, we are waiting for her school to respond to WES for a month now no show(she has sent her transcripts and copies of her diploma and degree). She received her IELTS today LRWS 8,7,7,8 which after calculating is 443 but her birthday is middle of DEC, she is considering challenging her writing so if it is bumped to 7.5, we can get 446 so even if there is a 5 mark drop ...we will be OK. Please I will appreciate good advice Yes there's enough time for a remark. Even if wes 20 days starts counting from today EOR will come out same time with ECA. |
