DereI: She said tried that already...Lol. @daks01 make sure you have enough money on your card (by enough money we mean £1 = N500) and that you use exact same name on the card (if applicable use the same address on your bank account too). |

Elfmannisback: If the husband can't get a lot from his next IELTS test, she should apply unaccompanying. That is the truth. It's a bit subjective due to sentimental considerations. Some folks would rather spend 2 years hustling PNP with spouse (or stay together in Nigeria with them) than relocate alone. |

exquisef: Good day every one Hes suggesting we go ahead without him which would put my scores at 448 or thereabout as if he passes we can only get around 442 which i think is still good enough. Has any one successfully filed for a spouse with PR and it didn't take more than a year? as hes currently even busy in naijja to relocate. sorry for the long post i wanted to be as detailed as i can. 442 is currently okay in my opinion. However it's an internal decision between you two on whether to relocate without him (and sponsor him later). You might want to ask your question about spouse sponsorship on the 'living in canada' thread. |

May5ive: Can you calm down?
Most of these things I don't even understand them! What do I know that their congratulating people about?!
If you can't tolerate my questions, please just avoid them. If this is how you guys treat first timers, it is awfully bad! There are people on this thread who are even afraid to ask questions, because people like would bash them!
Please take it easy abeg! This life na jeje! That's why you've been asked to calm down, read through, and understand the process. If you don't understand what PPR is, which question are you asking again? You're lucky it's not our NOC queen that received PPR nobody for even see your question even if you ask 500 times. Anyone who is afraid to ask questions should read up or do nairaland search. It is very rare for a question or situation to be brand new. People have concluded this whole process without ever asking any questions. Back to the celebrations jor. Please guys you all should check your mails I'm expecting more announcements today. |

linuslynx: Please clarify further and I'd also love the landed seniors to make inputs here. Do you imply that with my Local DL I can't drive when I arrive calgary for the first three months? My DL expires soon and I intend renewing but going by what you just said it makes no sense since I can't drive with it and I can still use the expired one to apply for Canadian DL. You can use the expired one to apply for Canadian DL? |

einsteino: She was working the whole time but not as a licensed lawyer, I checked her profile, most of those years she worked as a paralegal(alternate profession of law). Those of us in regulated professions know how tough it could be to get licensed, Some would have to start afresh and many of those who seem like they had a smooth transition, actually had to go a couple of rungs down first. Though some they would rather just settle for alternative careers, while some would make do with any job they get and still chase their dream career. 9years is alot but if that's what gives her fulfillment, I think it was worth the time. Of course it was worth her time. There's nothing like getting to your desired destination. But I'm still wowed at how long it took. A bit of a reality check for me. |
