Politics / ‘motor Go Jam Am!’, Drunk Mobile Policeman Rails At Buhari by Tokotaya: 9:38am On Jul 16, 2021
Microsecondnews.com Reporter MSN Reporter July 15, 20210 1 minute read

A drunk mobile policeman has been captured abusing the authorities for the inhuman treatment he and his colleagues are allegedly being subjected to by the authorities.

The video of the policeman was uploaded by former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, earlier today.

The policeman who sat on the floor was apparently being filmed by one of his colleagues, some of who can be heard hailing him.

The drunk officer who identified himself as Sergeant Emax Okechukwu complained that their inconvenience allowance was yet to be paid.

He also complained that they were deployed to Borno to complement efforts to curtail insurgency but he was not given a rifle. He queried whether the authorities expected him to use his manhood to combat Boko Haram.

He abused the president for not improving their condition, declaring ‘E go dey pass for road, motor go jam am’.

He had equal harsh words for his Inspector General of Police and his other bosses.

Speaking of the entire police force, he said it was a bad organization where people sleep with each other’s wives.

Crime / Zuma Riots: Vigilantes Catch Policeman With Looted Goods In SA (video) by Tokotaya: 12:11pm On Jul 15, 2021
Microsecondnews.com Reporter 1 minute read
As the violence that attended the imprisonment of former South African President, Jacob Zuma, spiraled out of control, residents of some affected areas have started defending themselves against looters and arsonists.

Roadblocks have been mounted in strategic locations by volunteer community members to prevent looters from making incursions.

The roadblocks also entailed stopping vehicles and searching them.

One of the first culprits caught last night according to News Live_508 update on Instagram was a member of the South African Police Service (SAPS) who had his official vehicle stuffed with looted items.

Stuffed in the boot and inside the vehicle were vegetable oil, electronics, tissue paper and other household items.

When interrogated, he had nothing to say.

Over 46 people have been killed and properties worth millions of dollars damaged in the violence that erupted after Mr. Zuma was sent to jail last week.

Writer narrates how Unilag lecturers allegedly frustrated her because her project topic was about sexual harassment

Microsecondnews (MSN) Reporter 7, 20210 1 minute read

A writer who had her convocation yesterday, July 6, took to Instagram to claim that she was frustrated by Unilag lecturers because her project topic was on sexual harassment.

She explained that she experienced sexual harassment from a lecturer who then made her get a carryover in his course because she wouldn’t give in to his demands.

For her final year project, she decided to do a project on the MeToo movement and sexual harassment.

She said this was after the BBC Sex For Grade exposé that saw a lecturer of the institution propositioning a prospective student for sex on camera.

Her first challenge was her supervisor who did not find the topic funny, according to her.

Then, for defence, she had to face a panel of male lecturers many of who were notorious in that area.

She said her supervisor had to beg for the men in the panel to let her go and she eventually joined her mates in graduating.

Agitation by peaceful means is lawful. Introducing armed wings into an otherwise peaceful movement is, unfortunately, no longer lawful. Threatening people who do not agree with you openly with death too is not lawful. No one has the right to take the life of another, even if that other person is a proven saboteur of your cause. If we allow everyone to kill anyone who does not agree with their agitation, this place would be worse than prehistoric jungle. The current administration is just incompetent. He should have been arrested long before now.

Crime / Celebrated Bolt Driver Beaten Up In Ikoyi For Asking For Payment (video) by Tokotaya: 9:01am On Jun 23, 2021
[img][/img]

A celebrated Bolt driver, Ezekiel Godwin, got a raw deal from a lady customer on Monday morning as he was slapped and beaten up for asking for payment.

Narrating his ordeal in a video recording of the incident shared by a colleague, Godwin said he picked the young lady from Banana Island and she said she was going to Number 13 Gerard, Ikoyi.

He said it turned out that the address was not correct and he drove along.

He said the lady who was all along on the phone, suddenly asked him to stop, but because a vehicle was behind him, he could not brake suddenly. He said he complained to her that it was not a safe practice to shout that a driver should stop while in motion, and with another vehicle following behind.

He said the lady disembarked as soon as he stopped and she started walking away, prompting him to run after her to remind her she had not paid him.
That was where the trouble started...

But if we start applying serious consequences for these acts, there will be a change. First disband the PMS/NURTW guys. Arrest the man who held the blade that killed the guy. Try him and execute him. The others will get sense. We cannot continue living like animals in this country. It's so annoying.
Pierocash:
This is senseless. Which normal sensible human will start fighting motor park touts, especially Auxiliary boys?

If you approach them calmly and they refuse, leave them alone. Is it not just for a day?

You can't fight agberos in your business location, you will lose Las Las. They can burn down the whole complex without consequences.

People should learn to just let some things be.

Phone shop owner, Azeez, stabbed to death by touts in Ibadan (Video)
Deceased just got US visa after waiting for 8 years

A phone shop owner at a popular shopping complex in Iwo Road, Ibadan has been stabbed to death by motor park touts.

The deceased, identified as Rahman Azeez, son of the owner of the complex, known as Alhaja, was stabbed in a fracas that followed an altercation over parking space at the complex.

MSN gathered that trouble started on Wednesday when some suspected members of Oyo State Park Management System (PMS) under the leadership of Mr. Mukaila Lamidi (also known as Auxiliary) parked their buses in front of the complex as usual against long standing protest of shop owners at the complex that the practice of the PMS men was adversely affecting their business.

The park managers reportedly insisted that the spot was most suitable for coordinating their buses.

An attempt by the shop owners to challenge the PMS men or get them to vacate the location resulted in a heated argument that soon escalated to a free-for-all in which the members of the transport union reportedly resorted to using dangerous weapons.

In the process, Azeez also called ‘Baba Ibeji’ by his friends, was allegedly stabbed by one of the PMS men.

Sources say Azeez just secured a visa

Politics / New COAS: Nigerians Carpet Buhari For Being Insensitive To Ethnic Tension by Tokotaya: 6:56pm On May 27, 2021
Nigerians have taken to twitter to criticise President Muhammadu Buhari for naming another northerner as replacement for the late Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General Attahiru Ibrahim who died last Friday.

Many people who reacted to the news of the appointment of Major General Farouk Yahaya as the new COAS condemned President Buhari for continuing to demonstrate insensitivity to the yearnings of other ethnic groups in Nigeria.

Some said they were not surprised at the choice of the president having shown clearly since 2015 that he could not trust any other ethnic group with sensitive security positions in the country.

Education / Parents Lament Shoddy 2021 JAMB UTME Registration Procedure by Tokotaya: 12:37pm On May 14, 2021
Hundreds of students wishing to register for the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and the Direct Entry (DE) programme and their parents are currently frustrated as they have been unable to complete the process.

MicroSecondNews (MSN) learnt that the knotty part of the registration process is generating the required codes towards setting up profiles using their unique national identification number (NIN).

The process is supposed to be easy, entailing simply sending a text to a shortcode and getting a response in a matter of seconds or minutes.

However, less than 24 hours to the May 15 deadline set by the examination body, very many students and their parents have not been able to obtain their registration codes after sending the text message multiple times.

A parent told MSN: “ My son has sent over 50 SMS messages to 55019 to get his JAMB profile code, all to no avail.”

The anxious parent said after a friend disclosed that he experienced the same thing but overcame by sending many SMS messages, he took over from his son and sent another 50 messages to the shortcode at different times but never got the code.

All he got were assurances that the application was being processed.

Each of the text costs N50.

It’s a year since my earthly angel answered the call

How time flies!

My dear wife, it is already one year since you exited this wicked world through the reckless driver of BRT bus No. 314 at a spot near Agric bus stop, Ikorodu road, Ikorodu, Lagos.

We spoke last at 7.14 pm on that fateful day. And ten minutes later, you had been knocked down while attempting to cross over to the other side of the road to wait for me.

Since that day, life has never been the same. The occurrence momentarily brought my world to a close. Darkness took over my space. For days, I was unable to comprehend what hit me that less than 10 mins after we spoke, you were gone. We were going to meet at a hospital across the road to run a medical check on a new house help. Then suddenly you were no more.

Even when I drove past the accident scene to meet you at the hospital as scheduled, little did I know that the gathering I saw around the accident scene was about you. I got to the hospital to ask after you, but no one seemed to give me an answer about your presence at the hospital. But when I called our daughter to confirm whether you changed your mind and returned home, she broke the saddest news ever to me.
