My parents have always wanted us to marry our tribe and not like we are in our state that I can say to get them will be possible. I have met with several men but didn't go into a relationship with them because they are not my tribe.

The ones that are my tribe are so annoying and wayward. Now, there is this guy I have known for 4yrs as a friend, he have been so good to me but a barber and also in his final year, he is my tribe but I have not paid attention to him all this while upon he loves me.

Am now in love with him but he's a barber and am scared if loving him and going into a relationship with him is a nice idea or should I still wait a little more?

This is why i get pissed with many naija ladies...

But for the records please go back and read before misquoting me...because i still remember writing that its a possibility and not a certainty..thye problem with many people is that they find it hard to comprehend and unfortunately i can't help in that area.

Every relationship has three stages and no matter who you date..even if you date your twin of different gender,formed in the same womb,you must go through these 3 stages and the truth is that any guy can date,marry and live together with any lady till old age if only you are both determined to go through these 3 stages.

No matter the butterfly feeling you have towards that new date,until you pass the first two stages with him or her,i will advice you take a chill pill.

Here they are...

1- Initial stage of adrenaline rush where you are just ok with him/her and everything about this person is just wow.This is the most fascinating,deceptive yet frigile stage of every relationship.The initial stage when you meet a new person and you just can't see or hear enough of each other but suddenly after sometime which could be days, weeks or months,you just tend to realize that the feeling is not so real and you move on to another person.The unfortunate twist is that many people tend to mistake this stage for the real deal until they get to stage 2.

2- The reality stage :When all the initial gragra fades and you see the real person. This is the make up or break up stage where you start doubting if you ever made the right choice.This is the stage that defines a relationship and it is at this stage that you start seeing the faults and imperfections of the other person and many relationships break up at this stage due to the dreaded "irreconcilable differences" but the unfortunate fact is that no matter how many times you change partners, this stage will always be waiting for you.

My advice is that people in romantic affairs should not say i do to each other until they have truly passed the first and second stage.

3- Last stage is called comfy stage :At this stage,you have become so used to each other and both of you have made a conscious decision to be together against all odds and couples who make it to this stage will experience the best union ever.

While some believe that falling in love with someone is never planed,i will say loving someone is a decision we must make if we truly want to get the best from any union.

Hope this makes sense.

This morning I boarded a bus to CMS with this very handsome guy,I didn't realise breeze was making my hair disturb him cos I plugged my ears. I noticed he was neatly dressed from head to toe,his sneakers were totally amazing! He had this very lovely wristwatch,i took my time to view him very well with my corner eye! I noticed he was the shy type and trust me I do know how to handle the shy ones. I started a conversation,he flowed well. We talked about rock music, mile 12 saga and other small talks cos the tension was building(i could feel that from the look on his face) he didn't wanna be boring I guess. He brought out his phone and requested for my number! Normal jade would do shakara and tell you to give her yours even if she would never call, but I gave it out without blinking.

Then came the shock!! He was to alight before me,low and behold when he was about coming down cos we sat at the back,it took time for some clumsy passengers to give way so he stood a bit,his shirt raised a little,then I saw the "horror movie" his gigantic unsexy white/brown pant, so large and brutally ugly. I didn't say a word, I was highly disappointed I kept staring at it with disgust till he dropped. The smile and wave I returned was very fake, the crush vanished. He promised to call by 9pm! Trust me i'm not looking forward to any conversation as that horrible huge pant has spoilt everything. I hope y'all here don't wear such huge pants and be forming posh although I suspect a popular romancelander has lots of them in his closet

Dear Nairalanders,

I've come again to hear your views about this issue.... especially married "Egbons"

So it all started like this, My new fiancee and I just finished a sunday service and I was about going to drop her at home when one of her single friends asked if she could join us which we agreed.

On our way they started talking all wife stuffs sharing their views on a marriage and shii, then one thing led to a financial topic where my fiancee started saying she can never support a husband financially, that a man should be a man and take all responsibilities of every penny to be spent, that the reason she's working is to be able to afford all the things she wants that all the responsibilities of the household is for the husband . I acted cool at first.

Her friend was even saying that she doesnt like to be a liability that at least it should not be the man's responsibility 100% that the wife should be able to support financially, My fiancee outrightly disagreed with her saying support doesnt have to be financial from the wife, that it could be through prayers.

I couldnt keep mute anymore I had to ask her "what does it mean when people say supportive wife? " she replied she doesn't know, that she's sure it doesnt have to be financial.

At some point when the friend had already alighted, I asked what if the man is building a house and needs immediate support for just window frames, she said never!

She even said if she has money in the bank and their is no food at home, we will all drink Garri.

Now here are the facts,
-We got introduced through match making,
-there are some good things about her that is worth consideration.
-I dont think she has dated before because she obviously has no experience whats so ever when it comes to relationship behaviours. she's "efikko" kind of.
-This her ideology seems deep rooted in her upbringing and family., her mum is rich.

My Challenge is,
Should I stick around and try to change that ideology or just move on because I am sure it's a destructive ideology.

She just said she is ready to drimk garri with you so what else do you need?

in my opinion that is a supportive woman and honest too.
