I do not admire u or ur works but I respect you. Your test may or may not help a person reach a comfortable conclusion. And this is evident in the comments. As a lovelorn in those days, I personally think the test should be a two tailed test. What I mean is there should be a first phase of the 'love you' talk that involves you observing if your partner sometimes initiate the ''l love you'' statement. If ur observation is null i.e they never say ''I love you''. Then ur worries should move u to the second phase which is what ur post highlighted. If u then gets does redlight responses, then it takes u to final phase of communicating with ur partner to know how u are in their heart.

WOW!...I will believe it she says it without hesitating at least thrice when called unexpectedly.

This game is not about the fact that people lie or tell the truth..ofcourse people lie a lot but imagine how it feels if you call your guy say during work hours and you may just make a 20secs call ending it with I love you...if a guy can respond sweetly to that at work then you know he has nothing to hide neither is he ashamed to express his love.

The botomline is that people who shy away from saying i love you usually in most cases,have something sinister up their sleeves.

Im sorry to make reference to the fact that some things wont make sense to us until latter in life.

I made an allegory with 3 set of people and i pray you dont ever find yourself in any of the 3 categories.

When i was 25 i had the mindset of a 25yr old but at 40 my mindset is a total far cry from wat it use to be years back.

This is why im always quick to jusxtapose opinions to pples age cos you just cant ignore the correlation.

Ok lets say you are 23. .apparently you are still blooming,fresh curves and lots of expectations which i pray will be fufilled but ladies in their late 30s will nderstand better.

Dont ever preempt what you can do in a given situation cos you never can tell wat u are capable of until u find urself in a certain situation.

My threads on nland are products of my years of experience and that is why there will always be a conflict in understanding with people of very young ages.

Neither is it a must that everyone must get married, there are also situation that may warrant that an individual remains SINGLE but also not indulging in fornication and other illicit acts. In Nigeria today, we keep producing widows and orphans everyday due to our COLLECTIVE IRRESPONSIBILIES as privileged people but VERY UNGRATEFUL inhibiting a land so blessed and rich with milk and honey. But paradoxically living in ARTIFICIAL POVERTY.

So, that was an Eritean true story above. And now is a Nigerian story.

Some months back, a very, very beautiful young lady came begging and with her little son by her side. She happens to be a widow and a run away from Maiduguri. Judging by her physical stature and eloquence and the way she was admonishing her little son trying to put him in order due to playfulness. It was too easy to understand that she is no more than a VICTIM OF FATE. An upright lady but in limbo of life.

All that she requested for from the two men seating down was N500.00. She narrated her ordel but what did these men do? The asked for a bargin. "We can give you a lot more than N500.00 even N5,000 if you agree to having sex with us. The both of us will amount to N10,000". Guess who these men are. One is a Police officer and the other is an Immigration officer...............all NIGERIANS. You can begin to understand why this country is so MESSED UP..........THERE IS NO SYMPATHY ANYWHERE EVEN AMONGS WOMEN WHO WILL NOT ALLOW THEIR HUSBANDS TO WIPE THE TEARS OF A CRYING WIDOW BY MAKING HER A SECOND WIFE.

While the patronage was going on. Their was this 'TRADER' in his shop watching and listening. A man of highly moral reputation and rich. What did he do? He called the lady into his shop, gave her and her little son cool water to drink then bought food for them to eat. They both did not know when they became conqured by sleep. After waking up, the man showed them to bathroom where the took their bath, he gave them new cloths and some money and after every now and then she and her son comes to pay him visits.

At that particular moment he had saved the woman's DIGNITY and HUMANITY too from the hands of THE MAJORITY FOOLISH PEOPLE, example the two WICKED MEN all because of LUST and SELFISHNESS. Just being STUPID!!!

After relating the story to his wife, his wife was glad to hear how kind hearted her husband is.

The story ended with the destitute becoming this 'TRADERS' second wife. He did all necessary investigations about the Maiduguri lady and medical cheeck ups.

Her one son is now going to a very good school, instead of roaming about the street ending up becoming menance to the society and his mother becoming a prostitute spreading diseases or even worse.

She is now a WIFE, a second wife if we wish to call it as so.

THIS MAN SUCCEEDED ALL BECAUSE HIS FIRST WIFE SAW IT AS AN ACT OF MOVING CLOSER TO GOD'S MERCY. Its was even her who encouraged the marriage and that is why it is advisable to always marry a woman of piety over anything else.

While marry NOT TO more than one wife is no where to be found in the Bible and the maximum is Four as encouraged in the Quran.

The same scriptures are also too clear about its stands on FORNICATION AND ADULTERY.......but most women will prefer their husband to committing these sins than doing what is lawful.

I WONDER IF THEY WILL NOT BE LOCKED UP TOGETHER IN THE FIRE OF HELL IF THEIR HUSBANDS END UP IN HELL.

I wonder if they one end up becoming infested by terminal venereal diseases.

* I am going to be writing more, subsequently because their is more to POLYGAMY than Polygamy being a prevention to a husband's cheating on his wives. There are men who have FOUR WIVES but are still CHEATS. Some even end up infecting their already four wives with HIV from the outside.

Toks2008 the simple reason why you received a lot of INSULTS is simple because the book of Proverbs 9 : 8 says.

The words "I love you" seems to be used to express how we feel towards another and even if many do not really understand the deep meaning,we have come to accept that as the usual way of expressing our feelings.

Do you know that at any point in time you can use a simple mind game using those same words to know your stands with your Bae(Before any other). HOW?

Very simple.

This is not what you do always so that it does not become preemptive but can be done once in a while when your bae least expect. Could be once a month or as often as you want but the catch is that the call must be unexpected..

When you call your bae,just end your conversation with "I LOVE YOU" and observe how he or she responds.

1.If he or she replies with I LOVE YOU TOO then relax...you still have nothing to worry about.

2.If the reply is "Same here" then that person might just be shy or not really into you.

3.If the response is "I know" then begin to worry.

4.If the response is "Are you sure" then you just might need to work on your affection towards the person or the person is just being smart.

5.If the response is something like "yeah.huh huh,ok and similar responses" Abeg no waste your time with such.

The bottom-line is that this mind game works very well and can hardly be faked for a long time because there will be some places where your bae will likely never respond favorably if the feeling is not sincere.

So anytime your bae responds to the "i love you" words with any other response asides "i love you too" abeg no dull yourself...something might just be wrong somewhere.

POLYGAMY is an ANSWER to the prayers of many ladies such as you rightly and DISTINGUISHINGLY enumerated:

1. Many lady divorces with children.
2. Many widows in their 30s and 40s.
3. And even many ladies who are singles too.

There is no DOUBT about these SUGGESTION of your as being a SOLUTION.

THE PROBLEM WITH OUR WORLD TODAY IS THAT PEOPLE ARE SO NARROW MINDED. THEY DONT READ TO UNDERSTAND, NEITHER DO THEY READ TO LEARN. THEY HARDLY CARE ABOUT THE SOCIETY THEY ARE LIVING IN. OUR SOCIETY WILL ONLY TREAT US WITH WHATEVER WE HAVE NUTURED IT WITH. IGNORANCE EVERY WHERE NO WONDER THE WORLD IS BLEEDING AT OUR FEET.

If we nuture our society with sympathy then our society will be sympathetic to us also. If otherwise, we have ourselves to blame.
