To be prepared for a "polygamous affair" is an individual thing, it shouldn't be forced on anybody, personally I can decide okay I want to be prepared for the worse, fine. If another lady decides to live in denial and refuse to accept the possibility of her husband cheating, so be it. It shouldn't be shove down her throat, she should not be told not to get married, Personally I would never leave a cheating man but if another lady decides to do otherwise she shouldn't be cursed out, or tot to be unwise. It's her life, it's her marriage, she can do whatever she wants. It's only ur personal opinion that women should prepare for the worst and not leave their marriage cos a man cheat, coincidentally that's my opinions too but we can't and shouldn't decide for others, our opinions shouldn't hold water in their lives or marriage, it's theirs and their decision to make. So if a lady decides to leave her marriage cos her man cheat or decides to live in denial of the possibility of her man cheating, let her be, it's her life and her marriage. Let's not shove our personal beliefs on polygamy, adultery or any tin else on others.

Toks2008 is talking about being ready for the POSSIBILITY not the certainty (obviously, it's not a guarantee he'll have another woman). Have you ever heard of the saying "prepare for the worst, hope for the best"?

If you like, go into marriage with the "happily ever after" mentality, you're in for a serious shocker. I say this because I am a man and I know men are selfish as hell when it comes to sex. The very moment most husbands get tired of boinking their wives, that's the very moment he's waiting for any and every excuse to have affairs. Hell, some men will even cheat in a happy marriage.

Men are more sexually selfish, women are more financially selfish; reason why rich men are drawn to gold diggers i.e. mutualism. It's sad but we need to face facts.

I advised a female friend of mine whose sister was jilted by her long term lover. I told her your sister should marry a responsible married man because she is in her mid 30s. She told me God forbid that her sister won't go into a polygamy family. She even told me she is a bit frustrated with her single status. In my I just concluded that she isn't serious yet.
