And i put it to you that all nigerian ladies are not the way "nairaland" potrays them to be, I'm sorry but that's the truth

Nairaland just spews stuff that in reality doesn't always happen that way, now I'm not in any way saying there aren't bad eggs among them naija ladies but the unnecessary generalisation i notice on here is alarming

I repeat, in the real world out there, there are Nigerian ladies that are ready to suffer it out with you till things become better and that's a FACT
I dont ever generalize. Never

I use some or most and not all.

Huh?

Huh?

Did you just justify cheating/betrayal?

And tomorrow when them pour you hot oil you wee say all ladies are devils

Nna some men sef
Do i have to justify reality?

I may be against philandering but that will not stop it and even many people who heard the pastor preach against fornication this morning will still commit the sin today so reality is different from objectivity.

Outside Nigeria, most ladies will love and remain faithful to you even if you are a bus conductor and also remain a bus conductor till you grow old and die.

It is in Nigeria we will see ladies loving a man either because he is rich or because he has the potential to be rich as they always say "i love him because he has a vision" and apparently after waiting in futility for some time for the vision to materialize, they will run out of the affair hoping to meet a rich dude or another vision driven guy.

I weep for many naija ladies, i seriously weep for them.

How i wish many Nigerian ladies can do all they can to reduce the baby pooch after giving birth especially the unmarried single mothers.

Guys are ok to see their own baby pooch on your tummy but not another man's baby so try your best to burn that after child pregnancy on you and i believe if you really mean business, you will have no excuse not to have a flat tummy after child birth.

And I could list just as many betrayers. Point blank, there's no way to tell if he'll take you with him to the top or simply drop you for a more suitable person to go with the new image. It's that simple.
I understand you but i will still maintain that most men will never look down on any lady who stood by them. Simple.

All these excuse of the guy dropping them when they eventually make it does not hold water. Does that mean the paramount reason of being with a man is the money in his pocket?

This is not even what any responsible lady should argue about because it will look as if all that matters is the financial state of a man and this topic of discussion is only relevant in Nigeria but in other countries where ladies love a man for who and not what he is,this topic wil not make sense.

now money don.come, money wey we do d work together,he starts spending it on anoda woman or women sef, most times forgetting the one who struggled wif him...

Lai lai,i wuld rather be labeled a gold digger...teni to ku logbe
So what happens if you eventually get a rich dude who marries you then with a twist of fate becomes broke? I guess you will leave him right?

Please save yourself the excuse. If you can not stay with a struggling guy then you will never be able to stay with a struggling husband. Simple

I bring you one but sadly he can't speak anymore to tell his story because the betrayed woman that stood by him silenced him forever. Seriously, look up that story & you'll be surprised by how ungreatful some men can be.

Ask him..
There is always an exception to every assertion but nevertheless my stand holds true for Nigerian men especially. It is the way most of us are, we just can't forget the lady that stood by us.

If i must be presumptive about your story,i believe it boils down to the fact that the guy in question started another affair with a new chic which sparked the whole fiasco and this brings us back to my complex statement that a man can cheat on you, and even marry other ladies but you will never ever ever be second best in his life.

Abiola among others will kill any of his other wives who dare look Simbiat in the eye and same applies to other Nigeria guys but nevertheless, im speaking for majority of Naija guys and i stil maintain that IN NIGERIA our men cherish any woman who stands by them considering the money mongering nature of many naia ladies and it will be very difficult to see a Nigerian guy treat such a lady badly except as i wrote, the lady left not because of any other thing but philandering which is part of many guys irrespective of the love they have for a lady.

Tuface after wakaring the whole holes still came back to Annie and many more.

No they tend NOT to appreciate it once they become successful. It can go either way though.
I have heard this many times but please i stand challenged...

Go and find me just one man who treats a lady who stood by him when he had nothing callously and you will be amazed that you willl hardly find one.

The problem is that these ladies expect this man to be sexually faithful to them because they were there for him when he had nothing and this is where the whole thing is misconstrued.

The fact that a man marries a second woman or keeps another mistress is not a sign of betrayal.

Anytime i liisten to melo melo by olamide,i always wonder how proud that lady will be to hear this rich lyrical thaught provoking song dedicated to her.

Every woman wil be proud to hear this from her man when he becomes accomplished in life.

"You stood by me when i had nothing"

And any financially stable man will always remember that lady who was there for him when he had nothing and i can imagine how proud olamide will be of the lady.

Every accomplished man you see who was not born with a silver spoon will always have a woman in his life history worthy of thiis lovely song.

For those who do not understand yoruba language just look for someone to explain
these lyrics.

This was really really insightful.. . A dance is kinda an expression of one's self, moving with zero resistance to the body.. I don't see why certain dance steps are seen and tagged as 'unholy'. ..
Its because we have allowed timidity take over the church.

Christianity EtcThat Moment In Church When You Dance Like King David. by Toks2008(op):
2 Samuel 6:14: And David was dancing before the LORD with all his might, and David was wearing a linen ephod.

I was in a church last Friday and i gladly danced GODWIN dance moves as well as etigi and it will surprise you how they all looked at me with one funny eyes.

Sometimes i imagine what it feels like to dance with all your might because as a good dancer and one who loves dancing so much,i can't remember anytime in the past where i have danced with all my might.

But the truth is that as Christians, we have allowed timidity of expression before GOD to rob us the privilege of teaching the world great dance steps.

I have been dancing sekem since 1997 and that was my favorite step during praise section that the pastor even wanted to learn that step from me but today if i do that same step, the members will tag me worldly.

Dancing according to Wikipedia is a performance art form consisting of purposefully selected sequences of human movement.

I do not understand why we should stereotype certain dance steps as worldly and probably some as heavenly because to me, dance is dance and it may even come as a surprise that most of these dance steps these circular artistes give names have always been there from time memorial and many of these dance steps are actually the native dance steps of some people like the etigi dance which is a calabar dance as well as the makossa which is the dance of the duala people in Cameroun.

David danced with all his might and for such to happen he must have thrown all caution to the wind and must have invented many dance steps like azonto, etigi, galala, shoki, sekem and many more.

Judging from the description of the way king David danced, i can say without any fear of contradiction that im yet to see anyone in any christian gathering danced half the way he did and even more annoying is the way Christians move their body whenever they sing the song "when the spirit of the lord....i will dance like David danced".

My admonition to my fellow Christians is to emancipate ourselves from self imposed perpetual bondage of timidity, lets free ourselves and lets invent new dance steps from the church and not be imitators of dance steps that were re-enacted and renamed by the circular world.

Lets learn to dance at least half the way King David danced.

Christianity EtcWhen you come across a Hopeless Situation. by Toks2008(op):
I have come to realize that i don't know GOD as i thought i knew him neither do i understand his ways. But in my years of existence,i have come to realize one fact.

GOD usually manifest himself in a seemingly hopeless situations and where men have always put a full stop is where GOD comes in.

Now lets take a look at all these seemingly hopeless situations from the Bible

*Joseph was sold and imprisoned
*Israelis were cornered by the best soldiers in the world with the red sea as the only route of escape
*Gideon was with 300men against 300,000
*Small David stood across the valley facing a blood thirsty giant goliath.
*Esther was a woman trying to gain a word with a prideful king
*Daniel's room mate was a lion
*Shedrach, meshrach and Abedinigo were thrown into a terribly hot furnace of fire that even killed those who threw them in.
*Job lost all he had.
*Peter denied Jesus.
*Paul was a terror to Christendom.
*Ezekiel spoke to dry bones
*Jonah got stuck in the belly of a whale.
*The 5000 had no food.
*Lazarus was dead.
*Timothy was timid.
*Abraham and Sarah were too old
*The impenetrable thick wall of Jericho.
*Jesus was humiliated, crucified, buried in a tomb and forgotten by the world.

These situations appeared to be hopeless but the truth is that GOD's power is made perfect when all hope seems to dwindle.

*Joseph became second in command.
*The red sea parted.
*Gideon won without lifting a weapon.
*Goliath's head was on a plate.
*Esther spoke and the king listened.
*Daniel tamed the lions.
*The oven felt like room temperature.
*Jonah was delivered.
*Dry bones lived.
*Job got multiple fold restoration.
*Peter became the rock.
*Paul repented.
*5000 fed and twelve full baskets were left over.
*Lazarus was just kidding.
*Timothy built a church.
*Abraham and Sarah gave birth to a nation.
*The walls of Jericho went flat.

*And Jesus rose up defeating,Satan, death and sin, setting the world free from generations of bondage and hopelessness.

GLORY,HONOR,POWER,MAJESTY AND ADORATION TO JEHOVAH FOREVER MORE!

[b]With GOD, what seems like a hopeless situation is not only possible but favorable. Just trust him like a new born trusts the mother and you will see the miraculous happen in your situation no matter how hopeles it may seem

FamilyRe: 8 words of advice for the Unmarried Single Mothers. by Toks2008(op):
Johnny:
Nice post. My candid advice for young ladies is to try and as much as possible not to get pregnant for their boyfriends. And if they become pregnant, they should keep the pregnancy and try as much as possible to marry their baby daddy.

Having their love child and looking for another man to come and father him is wickedness; the kid will never have that true paternal love from the step-father who's not even happy sharing his wife's love with another person (I'm a victim).

Let those who have ears hear!
May God bless you for this.

honestly i dont know how God wired the brains of ladies becauuse i have met so many unmarried single mums WHO WERE ACTUALLY THE ONEs THAT REFUSED TO STAY PUT WITH THE BABY DADDY and honestly i understand that some of them will have good reasons but the annoying thing is that they will now expect another man to come cater for them and another man s child which some guys don't mind especially if he also has a child out of wedlock but here is even the worst part.

The greedy, extorting, wicked, selfish and evil culture of some eastern part of Nigeria will still make insane demands on that man who chose to overlook the status of the lady to still come and pay crazily because he wants to marry a lady who is already a mum to another man s child.

pls get this straight,a man can decide to spend as he wants on his wife to be irrespective of her status but i believe in this case the families should call the son in-law to be with the girl and ask them how they want the marriage done rather than making stwpid demands.

I have an igbo lady friend who is a single mum and i bluntly told that her family and selfish tradition is responsible for her still being single at over 30 despite her beautiful nature and sweet looks and let me use this medium to advice igbo ladies reading this.

i have lost count of over aged sweet looking igbo ladies who are still single for no just cause except for the business mentality of their greedy family members who will stop at nothing to milk out an innocent young man all because he is interested in a supposed lady whose unclothedness has probably been seen by numerous men.

I seriously advice unmarried igbo girls to stop this foolish mentality that they are expensive to wed and understand that a woman s worth is not measured by the money spent to wed her but is hinged on her morale values and sexual chastity.

Iet this selfish and greedy family members understand that the origin of that tradition and culture they have twisted for greedy purpose is only for virgin brides and they should allow you and your hubby to plan within available funds.

You may ask why im picking on the igbo tribe but you have no idea how many delectable igbo ladies in their 30s who does not even have a clue of when they will marry yet they cant voice out.

My igbo sisters be wise and understand how harsh the economy is.Spending foolishly by force on marital ceremony is not as important as having reserve to plan your marital life.

Be warned.

Most of the ladies experiencing bad marriages have at one time in their past gave up a guy who deeply loves and desires them for a man they tot was all over them wheras it was their initial gragra feeling that gave them that impression just to realize after marriage that they don enter one chance.
