Christianity EtcRe: Christ Embassy Will Hand Out Free Gifts On Independence Day by Toks2008(m): 7:17pm On Oct 04, 2009
My Friend,

I am not saying it was not free but understand the context of my writings and for your information, i am a christembassy member and in Haven for that matter.

So i am not trying to rubbish the gesture from us as christembassy members but we need to clear the notion here for people to understand.

The free copies were given free to Nigerians but christembassy members paid for the printing to pastor chris printing company by simply paying the purchase price of these 10million copies. Simple.

Ans i don't see anything wrong in that since we are all out to do business. So the fact remains that its given to people free but not printed free.

One thing i am not happy about is that people are having the feeling that its free.

Please its not free. I don't know how many pastor chris gave personally but over 95% of the total copies are paid for by the church members which is good business for pastor chris' printing company.

I am happy that Pastor Chris acknowledges this fact in the inside page of the front cover. I respect his business acumen sha.

End of story
Christianity EtcRe: Nigerian Pastors Are Shameless by Toks2008(m): 1:30pm On Oct 04, 2009
Hello Guys,

Please lets leave the issue of giving and tithing because these are commandments of GOD and we should obey his ordinances.

Yes we know that some crooks in the name of pastors have exploited this to their own advantage but wetin we go do? shall we disobey GOD.

But what pains me is this hypocritical act of giving experienced these days. Look at the 10million copies or maybe more that was distributed by christembassy on October first.

I heard one of the distribution committee members on AIT thanking pastor chris for the copies meanwhile she ought to  give thanks to GOD and the members of the church who actually bought these copies and enriching pastor chris' printing company.

Reach out Nigeria is organised in such a way that every member of the church decides on the number of copies he/she will be willing to buy and pay N150 per copy which means that billions of naira was injected into this project from members across the globe. Though pastor chris acknowledges this in the inside page of the front cover and i really love and respect his business acumen.

I don't care how much pastor chris printing press made in profit cos thats not my business and i am very happy for him with all sincerity but what i'm not happy about is the gratitude given to him by members but i guess these are just some of the shameless situation we have to cope with.

After weighing all these anomalies, i am thinking of establishing an NGO that will ensure that all religious organisations will be mandated to pay a certain amount into a bank account or accounts that will have 3 sincere and prominent Nigerians as signatories.

The money in these bank accounts will serve as succor to people who need money for emergencies especially in the area of treatment and may serve as template to give soft loans to youths that have sound business ideas and many more reasonable purposes. If every church in Nigeria deposits just N100 every month. You can multiply this sum by over 100.000 church branches in Nigeria.(i am being modest cos we have well over 500,000)

I am tired of all these business centers camouflaging as churches asking people to give so that there will be meat in GOD;s house(Malachi) but they have diverted these meat for their selfish consumption.

As for me, i will continue to pay my tithe and also give according to how GOD directs me and not by enticing words of men.

May GOD save us.

BusinessRe: The Real Truth Behind Recharge vouchers Printing Business. by Toks2008(op): 11:11pm On Sep 27, 2009
Since last year July that i created this thread,i have received many e-mails regarding this recharge card business.

The truth is that as at the time i created this thread, which is over a year now,i was in the buisness but believe me, i had a bad experience due to the fact that many young sec school leavers were so scared to go about distributing the cards for fear of loosing them.

So i really regretted doing the business cos it took months to get back my investment of over 500k and this was due to the fact that i could'nt go about distributing them by myself.

That was why i gave my candid opinion as at  july last year. Its over a year now and i still receive mails concerning this business so for those of you who are determined to start this business, you can contact me for the address of where you can get these pins at cheap price and i will give you the info free.

Any other advice you ask me concerning how to ensure you make fast sales will attract a fee so don't frown at that but if you are not ready to go about distributing the cards to phone booth operators, please forget about this business. Be warned!

BusinessRe: Why Are Nigerians So Obsessed with Money? by Toks2008(m): 1:27pm On Sep 27, 2009
The truth is that our love for money is not our fault.

Its simply as a result of the type of economy we find ourselves in. For instance, take a look at accommodation, unlike in UK or other countries where you are asked to pay for just one month advance or 3 months max. But in Nigeria, you may have to pay 2years advance or more and you will see yourself paying through your nose to get just a room face me i face trouble apartment in a slum.

We also live in a cash and carry country where you are expected to pay for whatever before getting it so tell me why Nigerians will not be over zealous in the quest for money.

Even just to marry a wife, you will be surprised when expenses are planed out meanwhile the millioners abroad will just call few friends and family members together.

PHCN is also adding to this fuss because an average Nigerian will want to get a good gen set to power air conditioners, freezers and even iron not mentioning fueling the gen regularly. Look at bus drivers setting arbitrary fares and prices of commodities skyrocketing without adequate monitoring agencies to checkmate these crazy anomalies.

I am so scared to dabble into Land issue because i always wonder what will happen in years from now when we are buying just one plot of land for 1million naira in a swamp for that matter when you will be looking at 5m or 15m 0r even 200million for just one plot of land in Abuja HABBA. And you are wondering why Nigerians are crazy to make money.

Ok look at our puppet oh sorry President, making policies that will drive more people into wild determination to get money. Banning tokunbo cars over 10 years when an average level 14 civil servant cannot even afford cars of over 20years. thereby promoting smuggling and enriching the customs who cannot even afford to buy an okada with their salary now driving big cars and living large.

I can go on enumerating various reasons why Nigerians go all out to get this money but the truth is that but for the nature of the National society we find ourselves in, things would have been very different.

The truth about life is that making money is a two way traffic. You can take the fast lane and enjoy a temporary bliss paying with your soul or take the honest gradual way and get same wealth but this time with great peace of mind.

It is only GOD that gives wealth without adding sorrow and the bible says somewhere in the book of proverbs that quick wealth from an evil source faded quickly but he that gathereth little by little will be greatly rich.

So folks, look beyond ritual and trust in GOD to help you.

Just start something, anything at all and you will see how GOD will explode that simple business you think its too inconsequential.

Finally, look inwards and search for that hidding talent of yours, everyone has it, look for yours, that vocation or hubby that you love doing, is your source of wealth. Ask Dbang, Nice, Basket mouth, Nicholas cage, Christiano Ronaldo, serina sisters, Bill gate and many more.

Just ask yourself this question ''What can i do that if i don't get paid for doing it, i will still continue to do it cos i love it'' That thing is your source of wealth, harness it.

Thanks

Its not about starting a forum but the rationale for banning Forex trading discussion knowing fully well that it is a very legal business.

I have been to other fora online and i know what is obtainable so i am at sea over why Seun should place a prohibition on Forex trading discussion and lets leave the fact that he owns the forum. He created it but without Nairalanders, there will be no nairaland.

Hello Nairalanders,

We know quite well that Seun owns this forum but i think its high time he comes out with the rationale behind prohibiting Forex trading discussions.

For Pete's sake, this guy is educated so let him explain why he disapproves Forex trading discussions yet displays Forex adverts on same forum.

I am a very vocal person and i will not allow anyone to make puppets out of us.

Many times i have noticed that my threads are usually removed and some replies i make that are very honest and very educative are removed.

This is annoying and very degrading to us.

I don't mean to sound insulting but this is getting out of hand. Let Seun come out and tell us why he does not want a legal business discussed on the business section of  this forum.

Waiting for your explanation. and other comments are welcomed from Objective Nairalanders.

AdvertsRe: Start a Small Business Today by Toks2008(m): 10:57am On Sep 08, 2009
Hi everyone,

Sometime last year,i created a thread on the truth about printing recharge cards but i don't have the time to search for it.

I made mention there that the only way you can make it in that business is to get people to distribute the cards every morning to end sellers such as the phone call centers but hoping to make it by renting a shop and sitting down for buyers to come will be futile.

I remember saying that i invested 400k in the business but i never saw the profits and the capital was so destroyed that i regretted ever doing the business.

I have been receiving calls from people asking me to give them details on how to go about it and some even enticing me with cash promising to pay a very good sum if only i can explain the business to them.

But i was sincere enough to tell them the truth concerning the business that they can't make in in the buisness except they meet the major criterion of distributing it every morning.

Asking you to pay money to me for info knowing fully well the prospect is not promising is tantamount to defrauding you.

So the summary is that if you must invest in the business as a wholesaler, then get enough money to deal directly with the companies talking about MTN.GLO.CELTEL and the likes.

Being a middle man wholesaler will not do you any good.

imagine the fact that being a business consultant and having all the skills to run a business succesfully, i was so frustrated in the business.

As a recharge pin printer or wholesaler, you make your money in kobos(GOSH). Ok i know what you are thinking ''the kobo will add up'' . That was the foolish thought i had too but it never did.

People will go a long distance to buy from your competitors simply because they have .5kobo reduction.

For instance, the same greedy set of end sellers that sell MTN 100 for 110 or even 120naira will expect you to sell to them at ridiculously cheap prices. I usually print celtel100 at N93.5 hoping to sell at N95 but they will not mind going distances to buy for N94.8k.

I asked my wife to stop the business immediately.

So folks its your choice. I don't want to receive any more phone calls on this issue of printing recharge cards, if i do,i will go ahead and charge you guys a good fee and make you experience what i went through.

Good Day everyone,

Many people have contacted me concerning this thread asking me to continue. Well One thing i must tell you emphatically is that money management is the key factor in trading Forex profitability.

I train people who are making profits regularly without a draw back and i am so confident in my trading skills and i even give signals that are 80% accurate but you know what, greed has been my greatest obstacle in my quest to be one of the billionaire traders. The truth is that but for greed, i ought t have not less than 200,000usd trading capital by now.

One truth many traders don't know is that money management is the greatest lesson we should imbibe because the best trading strategy, signal or any trading skill will fail continuosly as long as you don't have good money management.

Now i have totally overcome that greed factor and i am taking it one step at a time not risking more than 5% of my equity or free margin on any single trade.

And let me give you this mind blower, you can build a fortune in forex with just 10usd only if you have the patience to take it slow.

I hope this will come in handy for people who are genuinely interested in making a huge profit in online currency trading.

Thanks
