Davash222:Overrated by who? We know Adesua, can we meet you? |
Sometimes when I read certain comments on post here I simply laugh. I laugh because of the ignorance of certain people. Someone commented about prisons.."I haven't been there o? Of course, you haven't but do you know why people go there? 1. The issue of phones in prison. Phones ate "not allowed" in prisons. Do the inmate have and use phones? Yes. 2. How did they get it? Ask google. 3. Cigarettes is allowed. Weed is not. Do the inmates smoke weed? Yes. How did it get in? Ask google. 4. What can take someone to prison? Many reasons. Eg. Diplomatic OPG of Wazobia FM spent a night in Ikoyi prison. His offence? He was urinating in a gutter by Lekki toll owned by LCC...he was arrested! 5. The law in Nigeria (Lagos) is that every body taken to court has a right for bail. However in Lagos state bail is a process that might not be completed same day! Hence, you will be remanded in Prison pending your bail perfection. Ask Naira Marley he will tell you what went down. 6. Sanitation defaulters are always arrested by KAI and taken to the prison. Loads of "innocent" people are there in prison. Some wrongly accused, others no credible evidence against them to prosecute them. 7. Our Judiciary processes is slow. Many people shouldn't have even gone into jail but the faulty processes makes testing prison inevitable. 8. If you run away from your friend because he landed in prison especially when he is innocent, you are a bad friend. Everyone alive deserves a second chance! Even the dead deserves another chance to live. Traffic offences the take someone to a jail. 9. Seriously, corrupt prison officials traffic in phones, weed etc and help the inmates to have it. Some inmates use their own network via visits of family members to bring Phone, weed, and other restricted items. 10. Anyone can be remanded in prison. I have seen a man remanded in Ikoyi prison for "raping" his wife! 11. Another remanded because of murder! How did it happen? He was sick so he took off duty. His colleague from work visited him to console him..before he left, he politely requested to use his phone and he was out of credit. The guy obliged. The visitor made a call to his friend. Apparently he was to travel with the said friend next day to Benin. He just said.." how far bros...Na Osas dey talk. Okay. Tomorrow ba...what time? Okay. I go come. And left the guys house. Next day, this Osas escorted one man who Benin, only for him and that friend he called to kill the owner of the car and took the car. They sold it. Few days later, Police unravel it. A decomposed body of the man was found smelling in a Bush path to a farm. In his pocket was his phone. It was plugged in a charger by the police and last call list retrieved. It showed the boys number who was sick calling this owner of car, ....it was that confirmation Osas had call whether he will still use his services as a driver to Benin. That was how the boy was arrested and remanded in prison. All his pleas that he didn't make any call to this man fell on deaf ears. Eventually, a human rights lawyer came in and investigated the matter along with the police, only to discover that it was the call his friend made from his phone, while he was sick that landed him in trouble. The question was, where is that his friend Osas? A manhunt was launched until Osas was arrested in a hotel ...story for another day. Osas and the other guy that assisted him to kill the car owner where also remanded along with the boy initially arrested. The charge was modified. The boy was released as "witness" while Osas and his accomplice stood trial for murder. They where jailed for life! The boy discharged and acquitted. So you that is saying I've never been there o? Do you lend people your phone to make calls? It can also be you. Stay guided. |
[quote author=omoharry post=81466567]Nice comment without prejudice. If Nairalanders could present their side of argument just has you have done, i dont think nairaland would have degenerated into this Tribal/Relgious bashing forum that we have today.Oga you be lawyer?[/quote Lol, no. amaechi1:Court proceedings are based on facts presented to it. Or as they say; the facts before the court! However, when a counter motion or evidence is provided, it supersedes the latter. Example. Senator Goodwill Akpabio in a suit challenging his "defection" to APC said he was "suspended" by PDP! His luck was that PDP was not joined on the suit. It is a known fact that he was still the Minority leader in the senate when he defected. He also added that he didn't defect but "moved"!-whatever that means lol. Now, the judge knowing full well that he may not have been suspended by PDP, said " the facts presented before this court shows the defendant moved" to APC after he was suspended? Who will argue? The people that would have argued were not joined in the suit! So technically that went through. Sowore's lawyer chose his words well. "Peaceful protest" however when a counter motion comes, it may show that the Name "ORANGE REVOLUTION and what he said is their mandate clearly leaves room for treason....."take over a system " ...revolution ! Sowore's choice of words is his undoing. Look up the meaning of revolution. You will understand why he messed up. No matter how genuine your intentions are, it must not go outside the law. Why didn't his lawyer say he had a right to REVOLUTION? Because he knows it means something else. No matter your bias, the law is sacrosanct. |
You didn't place him on 500k salary for life when he was 50 or 60 years! Now that he is 85 your placed him on salary for life. Such wisdom. |

CodeTemplar:1. Roman's 10:4 2. Luke 6:28 3. Leviticus 20:9 4.James 3:10 5. Ephesians 4: 29 6. Colossians 3:8 7. Matthew 5:37 Severely Jesus admonished that no one should curse under any circumstances. Vengeance is mine says Lord.. How come if you go and kill someone that kills another person you know, they will arrest you and charge you with murder! How come? |

Kingosytex:Please show us one verse in the bible that says curse those who kills .... |
oluwadabira111:There is nothing like revolution without arms. It's like saying armed robbery without arms. It's still robbery and it 21 years imprisonment minimum for simple robbery. Revolution is worse. Its reasonable felony. He should not have called his protest revolution or orange revolution and he used AAC a registered political platform to do that. See the oramge Beret. His intents and purposes maybe genuine, however the law does not infer. It deals with facts and evidence on the ground. He called out a revolution against a democratically elected government. Like it or hate it, this government was voted into power and only the court can upturn it. Not me, not you, not Sowore! Sad reality. |
NwaNimo1:Are you for real? Is that what you noticed? English language grasping! Would you rather grasp the English language perfectly and be a broke nigga than grasp it fairly and be a billionaire? Choice is yours. |
Ray97:Why was the "suspect" not shot? Apparently he was the beneficiary of the confrontation by the army, which to my view was deliberately orchestrated to release him. He was in handcuffs remember!. Will a kidnap victim be in handcuffs?. Who removed the cuffs, why was he not questioned by the army after rescuing him? Why was he not taken to the barracks for documentation and debriefing, according to standard laid down procedure? Are you aware that the army are not authorised to interfere in civil duties except expressly permitted to? Who commissioned the mission to rescue the "kidnapped suspect" ? By the time the committee submits its findings you will see that the army will be indicted. I expect some dismissals and prosecution for murder. Those police officers and the civilian cannot just die in vain. Such a show of shame. |
Wow! 30m ? Come and meet me I know his house in Lekki. |
elganzar:That story by the soldiers does not add up. How come everyone but the Alhaji himself was killed? The main man escaped yet the police were killed. Arrangee |

Hence, I will not be dragged into that lunatic fringe with you. I know Ubi personally , one on one, but that's not the issue. I pray you get my drift otherwise begin find interpreter. |
MachadoPreto:C'mon that's harsh, abeg take am down. Na person mama be that o. Her family still needs her |
Pappyto:Compose Wetin? For what purpose? Like them compose COZA too abi? |
Cryomancer:Hmmm, why would "innocent" people run inside the Bush on sighting policemen?Who shot at the bus from the Bush? Who injured the driver? Have you seen the police shoot at someone who is not running? It may happen though, but it's rare. I am not defending the police but your thesis has holes. That place, Emoha (Rumuiji) in PH is notorious for kidnapping so I don't doubt the story at all. |
Shameless girl! Which is worse! Cry on live TV or get bonnked on live TV? Olosho . |
dlondonbadboy:What power is he wielding? Are you aware that he has been detained for over 4 years! Why didn't that his power release him since? It only goes to show that power and influence is limited, especially when met with a superior power or authority. |
