Nigerian pastors are just selfish. When the want to get money, the receive from both the poor and the rich.. but when given back, they give to the rich who will still give to them.

They build universities that few members of their church can attend. Give two people scholarship...

Why not build industries that will recruit at the qualified members of your church and see the members remain everly grateful to you and you still have the money coming back to you......

most times, i try as much as i can not to involve myself in this tithe matter. someone gave you reasons why he thinks you shouldn't pay tithes with Bible quotations and the best you can do to counter his is to abuse him?
if you can't back it up with Biblical references, why not keep shut?

Tithes were commanded to be paid for a reason. and is that reason still in place today, NO.

if you want to dedicate 10% of your income to the progress of the mission, that's your personal decision but it shouldn't be of compulsion. if you want to give the 100% of your income every month, your choice. but relating that to Biblical tithing is fraud.

money was never used to pay tithe in the Bible. even when you were advised to sell your goods, it still requested you use that money to 'BUY'.

Bible is the word of God and anything anyone is telling me that is not in line with the Bible is fraud. it is our standard so , it must be followed to the later.

if you must keep the commandment, then follow it to the later and do all that is contained therein.

this Olusola Thomas is a case of crass stupidity. my brethren in the new generation churches are always quick to condemn other churches for things they also found themselves doing.
