The duo with Scribe of Taekwondo Federation of Nigeria, Chinedu Ezealah have been criss-crossing Asia where they have been perfecting their acts for medals in Taekwondo . Chukwumerije, a bronze medallist in Beijing Olympics together with another bronze medallist, Blessing Okagbare are the captain and vice captain respectively of Team Nigeria. They flew 29 hours from Istanbul, Turkey to London yesterday Chukwumerije won a gold medal at the 2007 All-Africa Games in the +80kg class and qualified for the 2008 Olympic Games soon after. Although he lost to eventual silver-medal winner Alexandros Nikolaidis in the semifinals of the +80kg event, he claimed the bronze medal after defeating Akmal Irgashev of Uzbekistan, Nigeria’s third medal of the tournament. His arrival and compatriot Isa Mohammed was celebrated by members of the team as most athletes and officials look up to the taekwondo exponent for a credible performance in London. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2012/07/chukwumerije-isa-storm-olympic-village/?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter |
Wow see what I've been missing! |
It's evil to dupe people using religious fronts. The punishment from God is severe. Just like Pastor TUnde BAkare is using church for politics. God is watching. No use God name thief o! Heeeeeh no talk say I no warn you o |
How come nobody commented on this, since May 28 The 1st step is personal re-orientation. It's a thing of the mind. Once one decides within himself not to engage in corrupts actives, all his endeavors and dealings would be geared towards achieving that goal. 2ndly, being contented in whatever one has and shunning greediness. |
It's okay. This country must be better whether d devil likes it or not. The labours of our heroes past shall never ever be in vain. |
Stallion77: Poster...I don't understand this ya story. Link pls.http://dailytimes.com.ng/article/police-identify-multiple-accident-victims#.UBEcrfUfJU4.twitter |
The Lagos State Police have identified the three pedestrians crushed to death on Monday, when a Mack Truck driver, Abdullahi Mumuni, lost control and rammed into them. The pedestrians were identified as Kabiru Okunola, Awoyemi Lanre, and Azeez; all males. The incident, which occurred around 9:30 a.m. in the Magodo area of the state, involved a fourth pedestrian who is said to be responding to treatment at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja, where the other three died. The surviving victim was identified as Dele Ibrahim. It was gathered that the truck also hit a Nissan Sunny Saloon Car with Reg. No. FQ 981 EKY along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. The deceased persons' corpses have been deposited at the hospital morgue for autopsy. The state police spokesperson, Ngozi Braide, said the case was under investigation at the Isheri Division, Lagos. |
So Femi Gbabe has finally admitted his crime! Wonders shall never end. Why is the Houe of Reps filled with crooks? 2015 elections are fast approaching, we must therefore check d background of our candidates b4 voting them in. Everybody has a past actually but we need upright persons to lead us by example. God help us! |

asha 80: the story is even old self. The story may be old but the shocking revelation is new. Or did you know about this fraudulent deal before? Bad eggs in d society must always be exposed & I like it better when they expose themselves |
Are you serious! This is an eye-opener! They want to pocket more govt funds through their ghost companies. silica: Why do i feel the house ofnRep has the highest congregation of crooks nd thieves. I was listening to Raypower political platform this morning and my eyes were opened. I gathered that these house of Rep members are only kicking for d implementation of the budget cos they have all lined up their companies to get the contract to execute these project. These members have made itba habit of armtwisting the executive and govt parastatals to squeeze money out of them. Maybe we should just scrap these Dishonourable house. |
BeraBera: Thank God I'm not even a member of his POLITICAL RAIN ASSEMBLY, i attend a living Church of course. I was only assuming.let me help you with a better name for Bakare's church "Political Anti-GEJ Assembly". I heard he has vented the anger of his damaged image on AIT. I just pray d AIT ignores him, let him go and further shame himself in court! |
Christians are not threats to national unity in any way at all. It's just that Tunde Bakare is a rebel who uses his church and ministry as a front for his selfish political ambitions. Imagine me going to church to hear d word of God and get lifted in my soul, only to end up hearing political blah blah blah. Christians are peaceful people likewise true muslims. Only boko haram and their sponsors are threats to national unity. May God help us all! Amen! |
HahahahahaLMFAO ROTFL. Nigerians & jungle justice. Does shutting down the transmission station have any positive impact on d problem @ hand. This one is frying pan to fire nah! |
Nice contributions so far. Fellow nairalanders keep d suggestions coming! We must air our views! We must be heard! The Constitution belongs to all of us! |
Pakavy: yeah, besides hw many pple know hw 2 use d internet dat is if they have access 2 itThe few that know how to use d Internet would use the option, while those that don't know how to use it would use d phone number option (someone just said d phone numbers have earlier been released). My dea, the fact that some people don't know how to usebd e-mail is not enough reason for this development to be criticized. Moreso, pictures of crime scenes and photographs of suspects can be forwarded to d police via this e-mail address. Let us see d positive side of things for once plzzzzzz |
Empty vessels that make the loudedst noise. Has Femi Gbajabiamila paid back the $25,000 he defrauded from his client in Georgia U.S.A. in 2003? After being banned from practising law in d United States he ran to Nigeria to contest for elections with the ill-gotten money. You have just exposed yourself Femi Gbaja! |
What are your suggestions for the 1999 constitution review. What is your opinion on the clamour for creation of more states? Do we need more states or the development of the ones on ground already? Does Nigeria have enough money to spend on wages, allowances & security votes of new state governors and new state house of assembly members? What of the single-tenure regime, what's your take? Sincere contributions are highly welcome please. |
This is a welcome development. Please We need phone numbers too for easy on-the-spot communication. Some useful info cannot wait for computers and emails. |
Police Provide E-mail Address To Fight Crime: The address is policemonitor@npf.gov.nghttp://www.vanguardngr.com/2012/07/police-provide-e-mail-address-to-fight-crime/ |
This reminds me of Sergent Sunday Badang who died in Kano trying 2 defuse a bomb in Kano. Just look at what the level of recklessness and disobedience to law and order has caused. |
vladimiros: WHAT A LOAD OF BULLSHITEDo you have proof of the Vatican training & the Loyola classes? You have to learn how to present facts and not empty allegations. Provide Nairalanders with the proofs let us all see. |
And what's the meaning of this? Is this group trying to cause more problems for Nigeria? People are spending sleepless nights working out modalities on how to stop religious fights in the cointry and some group seeking cheap popularity is here e-mailing nonsense! My take is: let the killings stop! Be it that of A Chriatian or a Muslim, life must be valued! Muslim brothers and sisters should please ignore this statement and concentrate faithfully on the ramadan. Don't mind any distraction. Let the true religion of love, peace and unity have its way. |
budusky77: Talking about relocating, if govt tries such a thing trust Nija people, everyone will start buildinG shanties and exPect govt to relocate them to a permanent site.Gbam! Honestly! People should learn to be positive-minded @ least 4 once. |
But let's call a spade a spade. Who would be happy living in this kind of place. Did u guys see the pictures at all? And u call this living a "normal" life? No, this is an eyesore. Imagine what children raised in this kind of slum would turn into in the futre. The shanties are not presentable at all. The area needs a facelift. I believe most of these people have homes and families elsewhere. The 72 hours provided by d govt for them to relocate should be enough for them to relocate to their homes. I know that in the typical "African time" mentality of Nigerians, they were just there waiting to be flogged and chased out, so that they would start crying out "govt has killed me oh!", then critics would capitalize on the "rendered homeless" aspect of the matter, to make caricature of the govt. I even heard that they've even informed of the impending demolition for more than 2 years. I believe that if the waterfront is put in a good shape, it would be good for commercial activities such as fishing, but not for residential purposes. |
When they realized that the place the so-called Knight arranged for them to rob was a Church, why didn't they decline? In fact, armed robbery is a heinous evil, be it in d house of God, Bank, or anywhere at all. People must endeavor to make ends meet thru upright means. They shd face the wrath of the Nigerian LAw while God deals with the spiritual aspect however He deems fit. |
