Go through what i wrote slowly.No one said MUN was expensive..I only stated that not all courses are cheap like everyone thinks..Is 26000 CAD per annum cheap? Some depts pay as high as that.

Because if it were to be MBA or Msc comp, or any other course with the special fees,you would have paid between 10k to 20k CAD extra.. If not for career progression ish with the VOs, most people would gladly pick a course like yours.

Xtianengr you can get admission from Nigeria or in Canada. Once you have your visa, even if a program says closed on any of the websites, call the college and tell them you have your visa. Most programs that indicate closed, they factor in time to process visa for international students. So even if a school tells you admission is closed, call and let them know you have your visa but only thinking of changing school. I know colleges admit people even when admission says closed provided they still have seats on that program. Colleges do this a lot but not sure about Universities.

However, I strongly recommend you are in Canada before you notify CIC because at the POE, if you show them a new LOA, they may ask why you changed school most especially if it is cheaper than the initial school for which you were given your visa. They will drill you

You can get admission for another school from Nigeria, get into Canada before notifying your former school and CIC you want to change school.

Ayomiposi2020 Kcosam and Xtianengr I think Newfoundland university collects 2k per semester (6K in a year). It also depends if they have your program.

Please find out if the school/college you has flexible payment plans. This will help.

Newbrunswick community college is another cheap school - I think it is less than 6k CAD for some programs, please find out.

Brandon University is another cheap school.

I know Sleekysoft attend Newfoundland university.

Memorial University is not as cheap as people think
.Most Msc courses have some special fees attached to them on the minimum expense form.I applied for a year Msc and the sch fee is 17,500Cad.Some are way higher..

You can ask your department for an official fee schedule it is a document that contains your tuition and board.
As for the 2k you paid you can download your receipt anytime from your student portal.
you can get there by going into memorial self-service,
navigate like so
student main menu,
financial information,
view credit card payment then click on the transaction number to get your full receipts.

Hi Chiberta..Pls at what point did you pay the 2k?.I just submitted my Accept/decline form and no mention of tuition deposit..Or is it peculiar to some departments?

My VISA journey has been rough with many twists and turns. Between October 2018 and December 2018, I got 2 LOA request and 3 SOA request from IRCC. They even requested for an unusual SOA format called "My Bank Statement with ticket ID". And after providing it in December they went mute until I aligned and adopted the "Austacus formula" on April 13th before I received passport request on the 15th.

All along I kept praying and never lost faith. I need to give special shout out to @galala123, a "brother from another mother", I owe him a lot for is support, encouragement and advice. We whined, complained, analyzed and rejoiced together. I also want to thank @jnyuwa02, I wonder why he has been silent recently but then he reached out to me and offered his support. My hubby paid about #300k to rent a space for his lab, but the agent had already collected money from two other people before he ran off..All 3 wanted the space, he just had to let go..But he was so depressed and that took him some steps backward..
