So, it's not necessary to have someone show all her breasts while pretending to scrape off her skin. Simply refer to the book you got it from.

I read lots of AA literature as a kid, I remember one book in particular where the author said he was so angry at being black he tried to scrape off his blackness so he wouldn't have to be black.

I assume these bounties and largesse we see on social media are also distributed across every strata of Nigerian society? huh

It does seem like Nigerians are quite comfortable , or is it Nairalanders in Nigeria who are?

In the sense of using physical methods to manage your feelings? eg splashing cold water on yourself which is generally considered a libido deterrent.

Unlike some, other people do not define what is moral and what is not for me, nor do I treat peoples' opinions as commands.
I still do not get why you quoted me to begin with? huh

Did my questions to the op look like commands to you? huh

I simply asked if she has accepted Jesus Christ's offer of salvation, I did not pester her over it, and I just checked the thread occasionally to follow the topic. What exactly is your grouse?

As per non Christians who are congregating here recently for unknown reasons, yes, they should also consider allowing Christ to minisiter to them, so they dont just arrive in the section transferring the drama from the other sections they're coming from. In other words, get God with all your getting.

Sometimes you cant avoid random pictures on a thread.

What do you do in that instance, to help you cope with your feelings? Especially if you consider some things just too irresistible. I was surprised by some of the comments.
RomanceHow Do You Cope With Temptation As A Nigerian Guy? by tpiar(op): 1:06am On Dec 06, 2019
I just saw a picture of a (Nigerian?) lady who was fully dressed, not too much nudity.

And a few men on the thread panicked, saying they were being tempted.

How do you cope with such innocuous situations which are open to different interpretations, one of which is you feel the woman is trying to tempt you?

Just wondering, because it almost seemed like she was admiring her shoes, looked somewhat ambiguous.

huh

The OP said nothing about his/her post involving marriage or a family. S/he mentioned premarital relationships.

There really are too many of you monitoring people's marriages, it consumes your whole life.

Even religion was not part of the opening post but OP brought a totally off topic religious analogy later.

Speak good things to yourself and let their evil return to them.

beethoven:
I think you are missing the point! Please take your time to read what was suggested. It is not about the number of likes, it is about improving the quality of the contents created/posted in Nairaland. Would you rather open a thread, and the first set of comments you see are good ones (that people love) or would you rather see a bunch of people posting letters (to reserve space) or worst still dedicating comments to their ancestors and shouting FTC up and down? Think about this.
How do likes improve content when about 30% of the two million monikers are simply for followership of other monikers? huh

Meaning whatever certain ids post, even if its nonsense, they'll get nonsensical likes while better topics and comments would be relegated to obscurity by these same trolls?

It's just a takeover of the forum and its eventual decline.

Well, if they can post whatever they like because it's a free site then they can also post put downs of Nigeria then? huh

I believe that's the reasoning.

My own grouse is the exact same topics are repeated over and over again, somebody now showing us the inside of a fridge as if there are no fridges nor food nor kitchens in Nigeria. And the fridge was even full of covered plastic bowls? huh

If only nairaland charged a subscription fee like I suggested.
