Juliusdaughter: What is the implications of adding a spouse when both of you are post AOR? Except things have changed which I doubt, there are no implications of adding spouse post AOR.
Your score is locked post AOR. I added my spouse post COPR and the only thing I had to do was return my passport for a new COPR and submit the required documents for my spouse. Including all the required proof of marriage (Marriage certificate, pictures during the relationship etc).
Most importantly proof of funds needs to be adequately increased for you and your spouse.
The only implication here would be not notifying IRCC of your marriage which is definitely misrepresentation. So technically you only have one option, which is to notify IRCC. |

Canny19: The cute lady beside me slept for the better part of the journey while I was finding it hard to sleep. I was calm tho cos I got TCC (travel clearance certificate) from my village ppl and they already promised not to follow me to Canada. So I had nothing to worry about.
Landed in Edmonton and saw that one of my checked in bags was ripped. I wasn't surprised tho cos the bag had a whole lot of orisirisi and panti foodstuffs. Stepped out of the airport and was greeted with cold but I decided not to use my jacket, I got shocked when my host came wearing armless and said the weather was warm... Ki lo warm exactly? Are you people playing me ni? It was at that moment I started dreading winter. As I type this, my jacket is on while people are wearing pants n bra outside my window
I'm settling in quite well even tho I'm still in shock how 10pm can be looking like 4pm and 5am be looking like 9am. There's no way one can predict the time by looking outside in this country.
It's time to start 'living life' as opposed to just 'merely existing' in Nigeria
I'm finally HOME. 10/7/20 Home is where an average person can afford 3 square meals per day. Home is where security is well guaranteed. Home is where there is no huge discrepancy between the rich and the poor. Home is where our resources and funds are not being embezzled by our corrupt leaders . Home is where there are job provisions for graduates. HOME is where there is HOPE!! Home is, home is, home is, home is.................. CANADA Have a dream and work towards making it a reality.
NB: Ignore the errors cos I hate proofreading, I bet that's why I wrote IELTS twice
Big shout outs to those who made this happen. Welcome to Canada! I couldn’t stop laughing while reading your landing gist . Glad you made it. Congrats again!! |

LecturerIFE: It's PPR 2.0!!!
PPR 1.0 here
Timeline AOR Feb 18 1st PPR - July 15 August 2 - Notified CIC of upcoming marriage (dem no even send) August 8 - Notified CIC again of change in marital status, but this time I attached marriage certificate. I also sent an email to OVO and AVO with the marriage certificate attached August 15 - Got a response that my marriage certificate has been forwarded to AVO and that I should write to them. I did as instructed, no response. August 21 - Request letter to add spouse. I shared the letter here August 25 - Submitted the ADRs. September 3 - ADR to pay spouse biometrics and spouse UCI updated. Paid within an hour and attached the receipt through a web form. Got BIL hours later. September 4 - Raised CSE to change spouse's name on file and passport number. Changes effected and a revised BIL with new name sent within an hour. September 6 - Completed biometrics. Application updated with biometrics number. September 9 - MEP updated. September 26 - Got ADR to fill schedule A for both PA and spouse. I submitted this same day.
Then a long silence filled with anxieties and frustrations... no thanks to AVO. While waiting, I ordered a note and raised several CSEs.
November 19 - PPR 2.0.
It has ended in praise. Big congratulations to you and your spouse bro! Really excited to see this.
Wishing you all the best in Canada! |

Adeime: Thanks a bunch for your speedy response Hi, Read your post again. I actually thought your step dad and mum are still legally married. CIC only considers your step brother or step sister your siblings if your parents are married or in a common law relationship.
Check Siblings in the link below; http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/glossary.asp#s
I hope this helps.

ify2016: That's to say, if all the necessary information I filled online are adequately presented to the embassy i.e all documents , my chances of getting a visa is 100% ? Thanks. If you meet all the requirements and submit all required documentation, then your chances are as good as 99.9% |

Adeime: Please house advise me....can I include my half sister (we share same Mum) half siblings (they share the same father with my half sister)as family members under step brother and step sisters Their dad and my mum (and my half sister is the outcome of the union) were once married and we are more like siblings because they visit our house and spend time with us I hope including them in the application won’t cause any issue as I may likely sponsor them in the future Yes you can include them. No issues |

ify2016: Is it possible to be denied a visa during interview after receiving ITA at embassy here in Nigeria? Or clinching ITA is an automatic visa to Canada after documents presentation? ITA is NOT an automatic visa. If after ITA you do not meet the requirements or there is any form of misrepresentation, your application can be denied. |

browneyes7: Thank you for replying
According to her, her husband created the profile after they got married but now she is scared that not changing her lastname might cause a problem. If he got the ITA by applying as married then she has nothing to worry about. They would have to provide their marriage certificate as proof of marriage.
Changing lastname isn’t a requirement. |

browneyes7: @ed.nut @Adun.ee and other gurus in the house
A friend of mine got ITA but they just got married like a month ago, no change of name yet or she's not planning to change her lastname. Would this cause a problem for them?
Thank you in advance The PA should recalculate his/her score as ”married” and check if the CRS score is still well above the cutoff.
If not, decline and go back to the pool whilst looking at other options to boost CRS. |

yvonneigwe: Please pardon my question, for this schedule A form, are we to fill and submit alongside our documents or wait for an ADR requesting it. I'm a bit confused. Different information about this online. You can proactively complete and submit or wait for an ADR requesting it.
Although, they usually request for it if you answered “YES” to any of the statutory questions. |

ladymarshall: First, let me say a big thank you for your wishes and prayers since I first announced. I’m so overwhelmed as I type not just because of the happy shock of PPR but also because I never expected the outpouring of love. Thank you. I really appreciate you all.
Second, to those post-AOR awaiting PPR, please check your emails even as you read this script. Golden email can come at anytime like play. Only two nights ago I was so depressed at the thought of CIC, I ate only once, had a sleepless night, woke up yesterday expressing my frustration in group chats early morning until 9.05am and from nowhere, golden email came in at 9.06am. There is hope. Big Congratulations to you LadyM. The most anticipated PPR gist!!! . I’m super super excited and happy for you. I don’t know how I missed the earlier announcement.
Wishing you God’s very best in Canada. |

I think once people are used to it they will be fine. You know what they say about change. I totally agree with this. The new design is cool but the background is quite bright. Can’t stare at my screen for too long |

IQAS would actually evaluate BSc in Law as a Professional University Degree in Law. The only issue is the processing time for IQAS. |
