That's a whole new level of assumption to say I don't want the subsidy gone. I just spent ₦25k filling up my tank. That's at least 2.5x what I used to pay. I'm mostly unaffected by the subsidy removal. I've got my entire home powered by solar/inverter. Like I literally don't know when there is a power outage. I have not used my generator for more than 100 hrs in total in the past 2 years. But, most Nigerians aren't like me. They will be heavily impacted by the removal. Many people buy petrol because they want to power generators for home or small business use. If the government had ensured that electricity was very available before removing subsidy, I would have no qualms. When subsidy on Diesel and Kero was removed, we were told it would be used to provide infrastructure for Nigerians. All lies. Many many years after that subsidy removal, electricity is non existent.

May God spare us even beyond the next 5years. I will be interested in continuing this convo then.

This reminded me of I situation I witnessed. I was parked on the lay-by behind a black Benz and someone came out of the car went into the nearby bush and came out with a 20 Litre of diesel put it i his boot and drove off. I took down the plate number. 2 weeks later I was back at the same lay-by then notice same car pulled up. I brought out my phone discretely and started recording. The occupant of the car did the same thing he did 2 weeks ago but this time I had it all on video. He was looking all over his shoulder trying not be seen. My assumptions are that this guy must be a truck/lorry driver that is stealing diesel off his work lorry and hides it in the bushes to come back days after to use for his personal car. I am still fighting within myself wether to report this guy or just allow it…. What has been seen cannot be unseen

couldn't help but be a tad bit curious as to how you knew it was diesel in a keg from the distance where you were observing. How did you know that is was diesel and not say water or some other solvent??

I saw the previous service sticker. Mobil 1 was used to service last.

First oil change i did i used mobil xhp 20w50, second oil change mechanic adviced to use Mobil 5w30 semi synthetic. I serviced last week and i used 20w50.
Car is barely driven though. i have done only around 2400km since i got.
My worry is which oil is best to use as I cannot find the recommended oil around me which is 5w20

you can keep on using the Mobil 5w30 bought from Mobil stations without fear. It has a black cover and sells for about 12k or so. It has the API SN+ certification, so the quality is there. It is semi-synthetic and does the job just fine. 5w30 can be used safely when 5w20 is unavailable or too expensive as 5w20 comes as full synthetic most times. I have been using it for years both on my personal cars and the cars I sell with zero issues.

You can go to LinkedIn and verify . Nigerian nurses and Doctors in Uk are they not using Degrees from Nigeria I know people who entered tech and nursing in their late 30s and 40s and are cashing out today in same abroad.
