Penuelseun: you can get the cells and assembly yourself, but better you get an active balancer with it to support the bms, I also think you are better off going for a 24v setup and they have a wider voltage range Bro, can I enter your Whatsapp DM for more talk on this assembly thing? |

DolbyDigital: Hello guys. Please help me out. (I am willing to pay consultation fee)
My MPPT ratings is this: Max Current: 40a PV input power 12volt system: 12v 540 watt 24volt system: 24v 1080 watt 36volt system: 36v 1620 watt 48volt system: 48volt 2160 watt.
I want to use charge my double 12volt 200ah batteries. To follow the specification, I arranged with a someone to help me get a 600 watt solar panel. Because 600watt solar panel won't come in 12 volts. I paid for four 12v 150watt panel.
When the panel was delivered, it was a double 24v 300 watt panel. I insisted on returning it but the seller was aggressively convincing that the specs won't matter. 24 volt will still work and all that.. blah blah blah but I gave in sha.
Since I have connected it, I feel like the charging is not working to its maximum. The charge controller specifications is 24v 1080 watt but I am using 600. Maybe that is why it is not working to the maximum.
So far, the highest I get is 240watt an hour when the sun is at its brightest. I don't know what to do.
I don't know if I should sell the panel and but another set of four 12v 180/150 watt and sell this one.
Or I should buy another inverter which is 24volt and wire my battery in series.
Or I should buy another MPPT charge controller?
Please help out. You have chosen the longer route to knowledge, which is trial and error. Firstly, your panels will not always give you 100% of their rating, then factor in other losses and weather conditions. Your 600w panels are sorely undersized to charge those batteries let alone max out the controller amperage. |

Fremlin: Good day all, so I have decided to take a step on acquiring solar.
I want to start with buying a 200ah, 12v tabular battery, where can I get a good one? I think you should start by having an optimally designed system, then if you are buying in bits, except for a lithium battery pack, battery should be bought close to when you are ready to install. |

Penuelseun: That is the issue with li-ion cells in the 3s config, they have a voltage range of 9v to 12.6v which most 12v inverters struggle with, 7s 24v config is the sweet spot for them. Your ups is configured to work with lead acid battery whose voltage range is higher, 11.5v is the cutoff voltage of most ups which in a lead acid battery is around 70% dod You are better off going for a sachet inverter that can go as low as 10v or boost the voltage to 13v with a boost converter which is not that efficient I met someone who savages li-ion cells from laptop battery packs. He said he can build a battery bank for me, #450/cell, BMS 10k/one for 12v battery and he uses soldering iron to assemble. Do you think I should get the cells and assemble myself? I don't have much tools for assembling though. |

Bullfallo: century. I went to market to get a replacement battery. I was disappointed. This one is just as worst as the main battery. Fan is century If you are a bit handy with tools, check if the fan is a 6v or 12v unit. If it's the latter, then get like a 40ahr battery and run the cable from the fan to the external battery. Might not be so pretty, but it should help with the over charge and over discharge thing. I can guide you via video call on Whatsapp if you want. |

They have ceiling fans too that are energy friendly and efficient I got a qasa AC DC ceiling fan today from a major seller for 43k+....in my way out I saw this SPL AC DC fans for less than 40k. Is it a good product? |

Science/Technology › Re: Rechargeable Fan Common Problem by Trippledots(m): 9:32pm On Feb 15, 2024 |
Bullfallo: I bought a rechargeable fan some months again and was happy with the outcome. It can go more than 12 hours on low speed and 6 hours on medium speed tested when I newly got it.
But since we normally have electricity I hardly use the battery power for long. Always in the light power while the battery takes alot of hours to fully recharge even if you uses it for few hours. The fan is always on charge as a permanent room fan as I prefer using it than the ceiling fan.
Within 3-4 months the battery begins to charge faster and discharge faster too. The low speed can barely go 3hours and medium speed just above 1 hour.
At the rate the battery become faulty its doesn’t even worth replacing it. Most of these rechargeable fans don't have a correct battery charging algorithm, plus they are usually discharged beyond the recommended level to allow them last a few years. A few mods can help you enjoy your fan better. What brand are you using? |
