bigrovar: Hello house,
Please can anyone using Felicity Solar hybrid inverter please share their experience? I am particularly interested in how well the built-in solar charge controller performs. I have installed a 3kva hybrid with max pv input of 500v for someone last month, although the pv installed is not so much (4 pcs of 325w in 4s configuration) but so far it has been ok. at a point, one of the internal cooling fan stopped working and something blew up inside, so I took it to their facility at Okota where it was repaired on warranty. I've since re-installed it, and the client couldn't be happier. |

isangjohnson: YOUR OPINION IS NEEDED PLEASE. We're currently working on getting solar street light installations/maintenance contract from the State Government. Two things we observed from the previous installations executed by a different company. 1. Inferior/cheap products were installed. The panels attached was not large enough to adequately charge the battery and sustain it till day break. It was even worse in the raining season/the overall weather conditions in our South South Region. 2. Lack of proper maintenance/monitoring. We're now coming up with two proposals. 1. To install quality solar street light products with at least 2 years warranty and not all these Chinese fake products that float Nigerian markets. 2. To order for lifepo4 cells/panels/inverters and other accessories, assemble them, build sub stations in different locations and use them to power the street light at night. Everything will be taken into consideration including energy saving bulbs/the watts/the number each major street will take to be tallied up with the lifepo4 battery, inverter/panels capacity that will power them throughout the night. Daily maintenance/monitoring will be needed for this. Please, your opinion is needed here. Currently, the state government is powering the street lights with diesel generator which I consider to be more costly. Alot of advices already given. What I want to add is that I have seen some all in installed along that Igando market area that still light up after months, which is rear with others I've seen. It looks like a very robust build. Secondly, if you decide to build a mini station to power a street for instance, you can use a step up converter to drive maybe 220v DC along the main supply line then use buck converters to drop ut down to usable DC voltages for the light points. That way your system will be somehow useless to thieves if they do steal it as suggested earlier and alsO you don't have much losses since you dealing with DC supply system. I also think you get better efficiency dealing with converters than inverters. |

whisp3r: Hello Trippledots,
Sorry to hear you're having a similar experience.
I have bought several items from ALABACONNECT in the past. 70% of which had minor issues. I mostly purchase AC units from him. The only reason I kept patronizing him was that he was always quick to offer a solution and how he conducts his business shows me he's reasonable.
I bought a washing machine from him 2 years ago for my parents. It didn't last up to 3 months and it became faulty. I didn't inform him because it was working when they delivered it and my parents used it for a while before it got spoiled. They didn't spoil it, one of the washing machine parts just gave out probably from existing wear and tear/usage.
Early this year, I wanted to purchase some AC units for my new apartment. I purchased more than 5 units from another seller on Jiji because of my experience with ALABACONNECT in the past. I didn't want to risk it.
For used TV, the only person I can vouch for is glaceglory.
The only thing is that his TVs are very pricey and that's what the Alaba Market Boys on Nairaland capitalize on. They Ship in tons of TVs for cheap prices, some tested, others non-tested. Repair the faulty TVs, package, and sell.
PS: I have a 1.5kva Luminous hybrid inverter and I have used it with my TV without any issues. I don't think your inverter is the cause. Honestly, it's been a hellish experience I can't wait to be done with. Thanks for your kind words, I will like to reach out to you so expect mail please. |

Timekeeper452: I have advised you on what to do in the other thread. A pattern has been established here , this seller has been on a watchlist. I’d treat anything regarding this seller with utmost seriousness and caution. Do exactly what I have advised you if you can afford it. Involve the Law. They are there to protect you if you are sure of your Facts. I have sent you a mail please. For those comments about how trustworthy he is anyway, he has declined an 80% refund on amicable grounds on the other thread so I'll refrain from posting much about this online and take things a notch higher offline. |
Technology Market › Re: House Clearance Sales.. Come In Here!!!! by Trippledots(m): 7:34am On Mar 27, 2023 |
Timekeeper452: my attention was called to this because you tagged me on your thread, do you have ample evidence that this particular TV has a different model number? Do you know this individual and his location? Are you willing to spend on this case? You have brought the issue online and yet to get a resolution. Now is the time to seek the services of a professional. Forget this whole splitting that refund . You shouldn’t even have made that post or statement. Seller claims a tv he sold to you as open box had a different model number , wether the first TV or this one, that already falls under false advertising which means he isn’t to be trusted. Take up this matter and if you can show evidence beyond reasonable doubt to your lawyer, you are getting your full refund, plus whatever you spend on this case if you wish. You have been patient enough, now take action.
You are not splitting the cost of repairing any TV.
Also I’ll advise, look up the thread of Somydisaster being called out for similar case , use that as another evidence for your lawyer. All he needs is to establish a pattern . If you are willing to go my route, I suggest you refrain from sharing more information online.
Edit: this is a link to the sommydisaster thread you might need.

Good luck. Thanks for this. I have hard evidence of the information I gave, and I'm ready to go the 9 yards for my money. DeTribalisedCit: Trippledots I'm sorry I am posting it here. I can't comment in that section yet. Your experience is a sad one; however, I've got positive experiences when it comes to that. Let me recommend someone to you. The current one I use in my bedroom was gotten from him. It's been 3 years now since I got it and my only complaint is the in-built DVD takes long to load (which I can't verify because I hardly use it)
His number is 0803 717 3230. I saved his contact as Zuby Electronics. He did me a solid twice and the best I can do is recommend him. Hi, thanks for the recommendation. Once I get out of that mess I don't know if i still have strength for all these UK used again... But I'll keep this in mind. Thanks |

Ejebleje: Hmm...Alaba business!
Take heart my brother. There's a reason why people go to the nearby army cantonment to get military men to escort them to the market before they do business.
That place has the highest concentration of conmen masquerading as business men. Them dey even scam law enforcement sef. Alaba story will take a thread!
Go and ask for their task force chairman and report the issue to them. They may get the guy to do something. Alternatively, involve law enforcement.
A note of caution to all : cut your coat according to your clothe. If you have 190k for t.v, matter of fact any other electronic/electrical appliance, go for a NEW product that your purse can afford and buy from reputable dealers(You stand a better chance of getting a valid warranty in such instance)
T.v screens have lifespans, and you dont know how far into the designated lifespan the used product you're buying has gone. Dont be penny wise... I am still threading the part of peace and reason... For now. |

Trippledots: Dear Nairanlanders, Thank you very much for justly looking into this issue between ALABACONNECT and I. I have received calls from some well meaning persons here as well as read the suggestions of others on here either for a full refund, a replacement TV from him, splitting the payment for a replacement screen or partial refund.
While I can drag this case to any level to get my full refund, I like to be mature about certain things and also cut my losses and move on. I DON'T, i repeat I DON'T TRUST ANYTHING HE SENDS TO ME AGAIN. I don't want any Tv from him wether replacement screen with shared cost or replacement TV.....I don't like stress.
I will in good fate accept 80% refund of my 190k which amounts to #152k paid at once, not in bits else the money will be wasted, and leave him to karma to either vindicate or vilify.
All I ever wanted was a good TV I can come to and watch once in a while or have others enjoy, not this stress that is threatening my blood pressure.
Thanks.
I await his response here. ALABACONNECT I'm still waiting for your response... |

After much public judgment and opinions and even calls to me to please find a middle ground for the sake of peace, I later wrote a message there that I am ready to forfeit 20% of my money and get an 80% refund rather than touch any appliance from him aince I have lost all trust on the quality of his items.
Since then he has refused ro respond to that message.
There are screenshots to buttress some of these I wrote, and they will be added in due course or on request. |
Technology Market › Re: Alabaconnect Is A Dubious Tv Seller!! by Trippledots(op): 7:18pm On Mar 26, 2023 |
So I told him I'll get back to him.. I now sent the video of the screen issue to another Tv seller explaining the whole situation. That one then told me that 5his second TV issue has little or nothing to do with power supply that it's very likely a problem that has been there was repaired and given to me as DIRECT UK used. Then it dawned on me that I was about to be swindled... The seller later sent me a message askig how far, so I told him that I don't have any money to give him for screen replacement, that either he fixes rhe TV and send down with the warranty as agreed or he gives me a full refund. He told me that he CAN NEVER GIVE A FULL REFUND AND HE CAN NEVER BEAR THE FULL COST of the screen replacement. This was yesterday, and I told him that I am giving him till Wednesday to make good our agreement.
Before I could say Jack, this guy ran to NL and started crying out first that NLders should come and judge between him and one Tripple and gave a twisted story of the whole thing (that is the link he posted up here, i guess).... A friend on here called my attention to it, I logged in and had to start giving my own side of the story. At a point he stopped responding maybe because the sympathy he was expecting was fast fadin when people began to aee through his charade. |

So I said ok, what Do I do he said I need to get a smart surge, which I know already won't do much difference but I said ok, he should please get one for me and aend back with the repaired TV. After a while of silence from him, I found where he was been roped into some issues with another TV seller on NL so I messaged him that this TV he is repairing I would want a 4months warranty on it and if anything happens within the warranty period I want a full refund. He said that refunds don't work that way that he can give me 3minths warranty. I reluctantly agreed.
After some days, I asked him how was the test going on because he said he will collect the TV and test it for a full day before sending it to me, he started giving one excuse or the other that something came up or he is busy etc etc.
Later he sent me a message that the repairer said the chip he put is not working and that right now the only solution to the TV was a full screen replacement... My heart sank
He now said that we will both have to share the cost of the screen replacement.... I went blank. How would I pay 190k for a tv that didn't even last 3days with me, was found to be of abother model inside different from the outside, had it replaced and within weeks another internal fault has occurred and now this seller is asking me to share 150k cost with him?!

He sent a guy with sienna to come pick up, meanwhile the first time it was a guy that carried the TV on his shoulder that came to pick up and return it, and this sienna guy was kinda charging high, but I bargained it and paid him... At this point I hoped for the best because I was already having a bad feeling about the quality of his items.
Fast forward to some days later, I asked him how far with the TV, he said that well he has taken it to a Samsung repairer that there is a chip that needs to be fixed that he is suspecting my power supply has damaged the TV and some other people he spoke to said they don't know what caused it but they suspect my supply. He said this too after I complained ab6the first TV.
Now in my home, I use a puresinewave inverter for the whole house and anybody who knows about inverters will know it is even better than grid supply, especially the oure sinewave ones. And this same ALABACONNECT is someone that didn't even know about eco mode on his smarr TV when I got to his shop, I was the one showing him and explaining that it is good for inverter users since the TV will not consume much power in that mode... I told him my power supply is fine and can't be the reason for those issues. And that I have other appliances like DStv, LED projector and sound system connected to that socket plus even a surge connected... He was like well he doesn't know much about power supply but that he is certain it is my power supply... |

After bringing the TV, the guy hooked it up himself because I was not around.
Take note that my family rarely watches TV.
After some days, this replacement TV started jittering. I said let me observe it first before raising alarm, this jitter was becoming pronounced. Around election period I wanted to follow the proceedings of the election since movement was slow anyway, but the issues now became very bad that I had to send him a picture and asked what was the cause of it. He said he doesn't know that I should try resetting it, and he was now saying that the TV he collected first was working fine and he had even sold it. I was surprised.
Anyway this second TV became so bad he said it will have to come back, so i opted to take care of delivery and pickup this time around.
