I am working on closing a substantial cache of broken pv panels, just like the last one I did. A couple of people both here and offline have indicated interest for these items, plus I think I MAY not have access to these panels again in the future for some reasons.... If the practice works then fine, I was at colleagues place where his PV cable was short circuit for more than 2 weeks. I separated the cable and tested the PV and they work.

Sorry I'll have to mention this, I once dealt with Keye, they are very fast and prompt with repairs FOC, but ensure you don't connect their inverters to grid or else it will go bad in few days. I repaired more than 4 inverters before I found out, no matter the SPD you use, it won't make a difference. Their solar lights, error!

For Felicity, I bought 2 units of their 175w solar panels yesterday for a small back up project, I also bought the Elejoy 800W solar panel multimeter to measure the maximum power output of the panels, I was able to get 101w from 175w at the peak of the sun. That's horrible if I'm asked, huge waste of space. Do anyone else has this experience?

A partner wants to go all in on PV installations so I did some research. Felicity solar are the only lower tier solar who have a proper website and proper documentation of all their products. They also have very wide coverage. Across Africa.

Most of these solar products Google searches takes you to jumia and ends there. Or the company ends in Ikeja.

We also went to felicitys main office in okota. They have a workshop filled to overflowing. Whether that is a good sign or not depends on you.

Once had a case of a guy that bricked A11 Pro Max while trying to install a custom ROM and brought it back because it was still under my warranty.

I almost replaced it until he unconsciously confessed what he did, had to charge me 70% cost for a replacement.

Another case is people loading 20+ heavy apps on an 2/32GB Android GO device. Haba na!

I have sold over 500 pieces of Umidigi since 2021 and return rate for faulty devices should be less than 5% (including some that might be user's fault which I didn't bother to check before replacing or refunding).

By the way have you heard of Trojan battery?
It cost 2 times the price of a normal tubular battery, though less in capacity .

There are a lot of products out there, that when you are given quotation, you will be dumbfounded, but the price worth it.

Meanwhile, Trojan is the best battery in the market now, but how many people can afford it?

Imagine a 1KVA plan at #700K because you want to use Trojan battery

That thing can be very tricky bro. It could be one tiny nonsense socket In the living room causing all the troubles. You can try to isolate all loads and reintroduction them to find the culprit.

If you are getting intermittent overload errors on the inverter when there are apparently no loads on then that is clearly a wiring issue.

Apart from crossed neutrals consider the possibility of some wires on the load side shorting together from time to time - degraded insulation, water ingress into external lights, faulty equipment e.g water pump or other device shorting internally (what local electricians call a 'back feed') are likely causes.

These kinds of problem typically require some inspired troubleshooting to narrow down else it may be a long and bumpy ride.

If you clearly have a wiring issue then using AC Out #2 will not address that.

For that second question, I have made the assumption that all issues like phase rotation e.t.c were already sorted since you said things mostly work.

To quickly find a 'common/crossed neutrals' issue I usually employ a test lamp. With mains available, switch off the inverter AC input breaker so that all supply to inverter loads is coming from battery.

With inverter AC input breaker switched off, apply test lamp between inverter AC out live and mains neutral. If the test lamp lights up then you have an inverter load whose neutral is still on the mains DB. Drop wires off the mains neutral bus until you isolate the offending neutral and relocate it to inverter side - there may be more than one neutral wire causing this problem.

Now repeat the test in reverse - disconnect AC input to inverter and apply test lamp between mains live and inverter neutral bus - if the test lamp lights up, there are mains loads whose neutrals are on the inverter side. For this case decide where the loads really should be and handle appropriately.

This test needs an incandescent bulb, a clear schedule for the day and plenty of patience to do in a complex miswiring situation. If you can get the electrician who (mis)wired the building to attend that would be very good too - they usually know all the shortcuts they took and (mis)wiring they did to cause all these problems, just be nice and kind to them during the process and things should typically work out well.
