fastanddubious:Sounds like the question that journalists ask armed robbery suspects on TV. Journalist: So how long have you been in this line of work? Suspect: Eskiss ma, it is the devil o. People know me that i am just a tailor. I dont know anything about this robbery. I only helped them to sew police uniforms. |
I grew up watching the fear-inducing brainwash this guy programmed into many lives via his witchcraft-themed movies. It took me years of knowledge-search to be able to unshackle myself from the intense brainwashing caused by goons like this. We can’t blame some of them that much because they too were brainwashed into believing what they believe. To be free, education alone is not enough. It requires a serious personal determination to separate the rubbish from the truth and little by little, you would find out that religion holds fewer truths than it portrays. As to his marine-spirit claim which he literally pulled out from his crusty old ass, there is even no bible evidence backing him up. His vomit-gulpers are expected to accept his word as gold because he made some ‘ayamatanga’ movies in the 90s. Emancipate yourself from mental slavery -Bob Marley |
Entprys:You forgot Tejuosho, Idumota, Jankara, Katangwa, Pen Cinema under bridge, Arena, Oshodi, Ile Epo and the other hundred markets in Lagos. Maybe that would make him satisfy your tribalometer |
seunny4lif:You know our normal beer parlor politics gist in Nigeria. It is easy to start asking foolish questions like ‘why is the eyadema family the only people ruling you this people? Shey you cant vote them out ni’? |
seunny4lif:The day i went to visit a friend in Dubai Hospital was the day i knew there was no hospital in Nigeria. I have visited UCH, LUTH, Ayinke house even Eko Hospital. None compares. Sorry. |
airsaylongcome:That is why the few Nigerians in francophones are not publicizing it. Besides, English makes it easier for the stereotypical yahoo boy to thrive in Ghana. To thrive in a French speaking country, you must be patient and ready to learn. |
seunny4lif:The only caution to Nigerians: Please don’t discuss politics too deep with anyone in any francophone country. There are more security police and political informants than you might want to guess. There is a reason why it is only Ghana and Nigeria that has been having democratic changes in the last 20 years. Dont find out the hard way. |
Ekundayo7574:You are a clear example of a failed government. Your grasp of English is very poor; a result of the tepid education you had growing up. You have poor composition skills and if you are a graduate, your project was probably written for you or copied. Despite these shortcomings in your life, you are still thinking along tribal lines. You still wish your kids to go through what you experienced. Ronu o. Think deep. A retort at me is unnecessary but i would understand as it is an ego-saving event. However, i would want you to really meditate on this. Why should we reason along tribal lines? And this is addressed to all tribal bigots on this forum, including Igbos, Fulanis, Yorubas, Kanuris and the hundreds of other villages-turned-tribes we have in Nigeria. |
Olorundamilola:You dont clear off. You simply create another project. How did you create the first one? Just follow same process and on your editor, click on file and navigate to the new project. If you know how to use command line (cli) which you should also learn, simply navigate to your project folders, then once in the new project folder, do a code . to open in VS code. |
GREATIGBOMAN:As i said earlier, communication between the user’s phone and the service provider is unencrypted. The attacker can use a fake base station or cell tower to intercept the session and modify the transaction. Once the user has your pin, they can complete transactions on your behalf. To attack, it costs money to buy network spoofing equipment and the attacker needs to be patient enough to know when the potential victim is ready to initiate a ussd transaction. This is why such attacks are minimal. Ussd service providers are basically using security through obfuscation and banking on the premise that attack costs are higher than potential losses. This is why such attacks are not common. It doesn’t imply they are not possible. |
GREATIGBOMAN:No encryption. Sent as plain text over the network. In addition, there is no MFA (multi factor authentication) and MITA (man in the middle attacks) is possible and easy to implement. Best use case is for small transactions like airtime recharges or if your business can swallow the risk, small amount transfers |
GREATIGBOMAN:It has been in existence since o. As airsaylongcome said earlier, it us highly insecure. You would need extra funding for losses that you would incur through “local wire”. I am building a fintech startup at the moment but not along these dynamics. Unfortunately, due to the simple reason that there are people smarter than me here and possibly better funded, I cannot disclose the USP. |
PrincessofDSS:Come, let me marinate you. |
GeoAfrikana:They do. They replicate rubbish html codes and shitty js which does nothing. What it can fail to replicate is the logic behind an app and the logic is everything. If you navigate to “/posts”, on load, it fetches from some apis, does some checks via some middlewares and refreshes some components. There is server side rendering and hydration. How will these “photo-copiers” replicate these? You clone netflix frontpage. Goodluck getting the movies to play |
PrincessofDSS:Are you an acclaimed witch? Do you want to dare me to ‘prove’ that i am a liar by arranging your claputoria elementa for some wizard kpanshing? Can you put your coochie where your mouth is? Before you come online to call people liars, be ready to back up your assertions. |
I remember when a girl wanted to ‘lamba’ me with a similar story. We just had our first sex and i was drying my self with a towel. She was on the bed looking at me. She just called my name and told me that i was lucky that she really likes me because she is a senior witch. I looked at her in the face, went to meet her on the bed and confidently told her that because she confessed to me, i would protect her and also bless her because i am a senior wizard too. I then threw the towel away and had another round, this time harder. |
coolcharm: ![]() Someone said you don’t need a frontend developer because there are some plugins on Figma that can convert designs into websites. |
There is a government agency in Nigeria that has an in-house hosted backend with a very weak inverter battery. Once PHCN takes light on weekends, the site would be down till Monday. It happens every weekend or public holiday. |
GREATIGBOMAN:Don’t assume the backend is secure. It is very easy to deface many of these sites |
Obidient4Tinubu:Before you die, please can you donate your vital organs for scientific study? I would like esteemed neurosurgeons and brain specialists to study your brain to determine the causative agents that can make a human who is literate enough to write what you wrote to reason like a tapeworm. Who is El-Rufai when it comes to our Nation's monetary matters? Even the minister of finance has no input on legal tender issues. |
Moh247:Banks are answerable to the CBN. If CBN says they should not collect old notes again, not even the president can change that. The best anyone can do is replace the CBN governor and put in their puppet. |
Zikonna:Dont listen to your mum and to the many idiots on this thread advising you to leave her based on a picture. After 5 months of marriage to any girl, you would want a girl that will remain sexy, smart, positive minded and above all your paddy. You will spend more time in the relationship than you can ever spend with your mum. If you leave her because of this picture, you will regret it FOR LIFE. |
LikeAking:There is nothing wrong in a nodejs backend dev also being a flutter dev. I can write both plus more. I know you can also do more than one. |
Obasempiree:The problem is not the scarcity of good apps. There is even a glut of fintech apps in Nigeria at the moment. The problem is the infrastructure on which they are built on. For banks, a lot of them have old core banking deploys that the fintech apps need to interact with via APIs. Some of them are not scaled to handle hundreds of thousands of requests at a time. Apart from core banking, there are other middle-wares that need to sign off every transaction. Authentication, fraud prevention, money laundering…. Now add the third party services that the server needs to interface with to process the transaction. Cards, Settlements, Other banks, etc Now, if any of this points create a hotspot (due to bad codes, bad network, timeouts etc), you have dropped transactions. If you build the best fintech app in the world today and you bring it to Nigeria, you would need to account for what happens when third parties fail. |
bowee4u:Another dumbo. So the Grammy was held in Turkey and Syria? And they say these idiots are the most intelligent creatures on this earth? |
Dikaveli:Perish from what exactly? Was the earthquake asking the victims of their religion before it started? Another dumb bigot |
sukkot:There was a time i used to be almost as dumb as this person. If there is really a god with such power and he is the one wrecking this misery on people, do you think he should be called a good god or a bad god? Kindly redefine the attributes of the devil once again. |
Remote US job that pays at least 20k usd per annum. Get your laptop, running shoes and headphones. Tour the beautiful countries in west Africa (jump Ghana). Rent is available on monthly or 3-monthly basis. Dont be afraid of the francophone countries. Did I remember to warn you about Ghana? For income above 40k usd, come to the uae. It is more secure than USA, UK and Canada combined if you promise not to stay in the cheap immigrant locales. Above 60k, go to europe. Portugal, Sweden, Germany etc. UK only if you must. Above 90k and you are remote? You be chairman. Any place is home. |
@devdevdev When you start consuming APIs properly and start building dynamic apps, you would start loving backend. Whilst you can be a frontend dev, you still need to understand how your app interacts with the backend. It is boring because you have not gotten the hang. Build an app that allows user registration, sign on and storage, update and delete of unique todos for each user. The data must be persistent and your server must be stateless. Once you are done with the project, you can revisit this topic. |
