Typical stu.pid African. Arabs and Africans do not mix. Look at how Africans were targeted in Libya and how they are treated in Sudan where thousands of African women were raped by Janja.weed militias who mocked them that they would be forced to have Arab children. Gaddafi only used Africans as willing tools to further his personal ambitions when his brother Arabs refused to allow him to dictate to them. Some id.iotic African traditional rulers even gave him a title of King of Africa! No wonder africans are at the bottom of the human pyramid.

sammyscholar: [b]I say a very big thanks for the commentary above. However, I have to make some clarification.
1)Refer to the first paragraph above:
My usage of 'genius' instead of 'geniuses' was only a typographical error, and not an ignorance. As you could have seen; I used 'geniuses' several times in the entire essay with appropriate succeeding verb - are.
2)Refer to second paragraph above:
Hitherto, I had always thought "conclusively" could be used in place of "in conclusion" as I have seen many literates used it in their write-ups. Well, I have learned something new today.
Nonetheless, it is so surprising to see a dude taking it personal. He said an instructor(I chose to use the word; instructor) would have asked "how dare you using conclusively?" I take this as an attack on my personality. Not even when it came from a dude I really respected so much. I have only chosen not to reply him for tranquility sake; I will never take that if it does repeat itself again.
3)Refer to the results seen so far:
I am tempted to say the results are not the reflection of my work. I doubt if some of the judges read the originality of essays before awarding marks. I am not really surprised, anyway. I witnessed a lot of anomalies in the last edition; and since then, I have always approached every debate with 'what I am going to learn' and not 'what score the judges would award.'
As we (the participants) are working very hard to improve on ourselves, I also enjoin the Judges to up their games.
Lastly, @TruthHurts1, I read this from you and I shook my head wondering if a person as archaic, sour, and stale like you still exist: ABU will win because you paired them with "paki" universities and polytechnics. If you really needed a keenly contested competiton, then why not UI vs UNN or UNILAG vs OAU?" I will only advice you to wake up from your slumber and begin to face the reality. It may interest you to know that none of your beautifully painted Universities is among the top 1000 universities in the world. Universities around the world are making ground breaking successes. But here in my country, they are only fooling around claiming superiority.
I don't believe in too much talk without action. So, I put it to you, @TruthHurts1, let engage ourselves in intellectual fiasco in any day pleased by you and see who reigns supreme.
What I expect from you is the date and time. Anything contrary to this; I will just advice you to keep it shut inside you. Waiting to here from you.
Thank you.

tosyne2much: What has ranking got to do with this ? Your earlier comment which discriminated against other students of other institutions was totally uncalled for (awon pako universities and polytechnics). If this is your way of reasoning, then I have to say that you need to apply a propriety of wisdom, intelligence and maturity when talking. With your mode of talking and using you as an example, can you now see that your institution can be ranked first in Nigeria yet you could still reason like my cousin in KG1?
Though you tried to defend yourself but your comment still does not hold water at all. There's no point arguing with someone with a myopic way of reasoning.
I'm done with this argument. You won !!! At first I wondered if you were really that stu.pid or whether you were simply trying to be annoying. But I get it now. You're only sticking up for your kind. That's why you would exception to a suggestion that was made purely in good faith. Anyway, I hope you show a better sense of discernment in judging the competition. Nairalanders are watching. |

tosyne2much: Bro, I think that was a senseless and myopic assertion. However, your institution does not really speak volume of how brilliant you are
You can be a student of Unilag and be as dumb as a sheep and vice versa. Studying in a renowned institution does not necessarily mean you are academically better than the students studying in unpopular/unknown institutions
*Self development is all that matters in life* "Bro" if you had any basic grasp on intelligence, you wouldn't have embarrassed yourself big time on Nairaland. There is a reason why we have ranking systems for universities and polytechnics not only in this country but across the globe, and that reason is the basic fact that some institutions are better than others, in much the same way that some football teams are better than others. Your contention that this competiton is based on individual and not collective merit is given the lie when we see that it is an "INTER-UNIVERSITY" competition and not an Inter-Student one. Next time simply consult the NUC's ratings of best tertiary institutions before you invite participants for your competition if you're serious about holding a quality event. From what I have seen so far, my position seems to have been validated because the submission from ABU is the best effort. |

Fynestboi: Ibadan Polytechnic paki? You must be joking Ibadan Polytechnic won the second spot in the last edition... When the DG of the NYSC complained about the poor quality of University and Polytechnic products earlier this year, I sympathised with him because I know the kind of mediocrity he must be forced to put up with in the name of national service. In my line of work, I've met products of many polytechnics (and yes that includes the polytechnic ibadan) who can't construct a simple sentence in English or carry out a simple instruction because it was given in English, so I know what I'm talking about. |

leofab: roman 3:7 read and be blessed!!! Like most people who are not guided by the Spirit in interpreting scripture you have erred most grievously. The context of that scripture is that the Jews were in the habit of claiming that the gospel of Jesus was a falsehood. The Jews claimed that the disciples stole Jesus' body and faked his resurrection (see Matthew 28:9–15; John 20:2, 13) and as such, this was a direct attack on the central theme of the Gospel that Christ had overcome death because He is the Messiah. In Romans 3:7 what Paul was saying is that if his "lies" ("lies" according to those who denied the gospel) have somehow attested to the greater glory of God's truth, how can he be called a sinner? |

Christianity Etc › Re: Why Was The Book Of Enoch Removed From The Bible? by TruthHurts1(m): 8:52am On Dec 27, 2015 |
menesheh: Brother good morning, you are really wearing god eyes glass that always prevented you from investigating issues critically than cooking up excuses as if you're the one that wrote the bible and are 100% sure of its contents.
As far as we can tell, this is 20th cum 21st century and not two thousand or three thousand years ago. The farther an event get behind time, the harder it is to investigate the factuality of what really took place. It will always be an exuberant position to doubt events that happened thousands of years, i mean thousands of years considering that the people who propagated or partook in such events are pretty naive to some extent compared to you today. The essence of such doubts is to be in the safe side by making sure we are not under delusion.
This is the reason why scientific investigations and facts of past events and phenomena (like evolution, bigbang etc) are not hold as dogma. we are human with limited knowledge to accurately know absolutely what happened in the past. We can be wrong anytime and somewhere. Despite oceans of evidence supporting any scientific and historical facts, we can't still say for absolute (100%) certainty that it really happened that way. So you're saying there is a possibility that a book which DIRECTLY contradicts the foundation of Christian doctrine might be right? I'm beginning to think that the anti-christ is going to have it easy deceiving some so called christians. All he has to do is dig up one or two ancient heresies and the gullible ones will abandone sound Christian Doctrine and wander after the beast. The signs are already present. 2nd Corinthians 11:4 Paul chided the Corinthian Chruch for giving heed to deception: "if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough." Galatians 1:8 But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God's curse The anti-christ will reap a bountiful harvest of souls from the milk and water christians of today. |
